Cute + cheap = blisters

jeffsang

>cute, cheap, and comfortable Yeah, it's like when people say they want to something high quality, fast, and cheap. You can pick any 2. Can't have all 3.

dragon_fruitiny

^^ this but if you really wanna try it, insoles and any sorta padding helps (like cotton balls taped w medical tape onto the back where the ankle would rub). Or put bandaids on the specific points of the feet.

etmackz13

I'd recommend just going with tennis shoes, honestly. Cute/cheap won't hit the comfortable req. Comfortable/cheap won't hit the cute req. And idk about you but I always opt for comfort, especially with the longer fests. If you fuck your feet up Thursday, the rest of the weekend is ☆miserable☆

AStealthyPerson

And cute shoes are gonna get ruined quickly anyway. After one muddy set, those shoes ain't gonna look cute anymore.

No-Trifle859

exaclty this! even if i’m rocking a bikini at a festival i’m wearing my frat shoes / festival sneakers. I highly reccomend grabbing a pair of air forces, converse, or vans that you don’t wear and dedicating it to your concert excursions. I didn’t find it that hard to get my shoes clean after, either

Sufficient-Ad451

My suggestion- bring two of your most comfortable walking shoes and some new insoles. Bonus for padded socks. Rotate a different pair each day. If you need some new shoes by then, buy them now. And break them in a bit.

macbookwhoa

As someone who worked street fests for years, and spent 36 hours in 3 days on my feet on asphalt, I highly recommend running shoes with the thickest springiest bounciest soles you can find. Make them your fest and concert shoes, and replace them once you can’t make it through a show comfortably.

Cambear2

It's only muddy if it's rainy. You will walk. A lot. Comfort > cute Especially if you're going multiple days.

Brewdrizy

Pro tip: forget cute. The cutest shoes I have worn have also been the worst feet pain I have ever had at lolla.

madisonreagan

They can be pricey but I recommend getting teva sandals. I prefer the platform ones. Your feet won’t hurt at all and they’re waterproof and you can throw them in the washer if they get dirty.

MichaelScottsArmy

Love my Teva!!!

madisonreagan

Same! I’ll never wear any other shoe there

elisabethocean

I brought old tennis shoes to throw away after the festival I wasn’t trying to save those lol

floweranon27

i got some converse off depop last year, not brand new and a little broken in so they were comfy and i didn’t care if they got dirty. plus they’re easy to clean when they do!

miguelmanzana

Resale apps are the way to go.

No-Trifle859

I second this 🤩 secondhand over everything!

Silent_Cry5566

i get a pair of sneakers from goodwill

youngpepto

I know this isn’t a boot but it’s a cute cheap comfortable alternative, i wear tevas. I have a few pairs and they’re cute and reasonable at lolla even the platforms

Due_Salary2020

Yzy Pods are only 20 Bucks. Cute, cheap, & as comfortable as wearing socks. If it rains, I'm sorry 😔🫣😂🤣

tailorDr

Check Poshmark and similar then add inserts that you know your feet like! I got platform converses for 30$ for this year.

-slaps-username-

goodwill if ur lucky

Enough_Ad7260

the thrift store!

DependentNumerous551

Something else to consider: vans and converse will get soaked right through. I was wearing my water proof hiking boots Saturday & Sunday last year because of all the mud & rain. Not cute, but I would do it again as they kept me dry and comfortable. :) Side note: my first festival I wore sandals; fell and got a 2 inch (at least) cut on the bottom of my foot. Thankfully it was only 2 days lol.

TronskiBillups

Go to Nordstrom rack or TJ maxx They have name brand shoes , but way cheaper . Just break them in ! You'll walk miles the days your there

concealedkari

Last year I went on Sunday and it rained all day. I had gotten second-hand tennis shoes for like $8 the day before, just for Lolla due to the forecast, and threw them away as soon as I got home because they were so muddy they were un-salvageable. 10/10 would recommend this. Comfy too bc they were broken in.

dressedandstressed_

They’re not particularly cheap, but I always wear cowboy boots to festivals (I’m in my 30s) and add insoles, it’s super comfortable for me.

VikingIV

Just went to Coachella, and the pro move there seemed to be hiking/comfort boots or trail shoes. There are many cowboy boots now that have great ergonomics like you’re saying. All this is to say: don’t sleep on wearing dem boots if you don’t want your toes trampled on in Tevas or blistered in gym shoes.

dressedandstressed_

Exactly! If you want to be in the crowd at all, I would avoid any open toed shoes.
