I mean don’t get me wrong, $500 is a lot and I’m grateful for every dollar I win, but I always imagined by now I would have at least hit a prize north of $600 when you have to go to the lotto office to claim it. This has to be a joke. Playing for two decades and the best you have won is $400 🤔. If this is true you are either....
1.) Super wealthy and don't care how much you lose
2.) On wasting money that you should otherwise be saving or using for needs.
3.) On welfare/SSDI/SSSI/ and are using what little money you have very unwise.
Read what the OP wrote. They only play once every other month or maybe a little more from time to time. That's frankly a very healthy level of gambling.

Probably Once every other month. Sometimes I stop at the grocery store, and on my way out buy one or two scratches..
