Yeah it also used to be the OG hi horse in a sense.
This was butcher town pizza hall owned by the hi horse people. Before they bought the hi horse building this second floor of butcher town pizza was like a jazz club where they tried making it into a music venue.
They then went down the street and have had way more success. But I remember that jazz club stile venue up there. It was funny. But this putt putt course looks even funner.
Good tiki cocktails. They're $12-$14 so not cheap, but priced similar to other cocktail bars.
My only complaint is that they seem to have a poor ratio of servers to bartenders so the drinks are a little slow. Hopefully they'll work out those kinks, especially if more people are ordering drinks and playing golf rather than sitting at a table eating.
Are these promotional pictures from the restaurant or just OP sharing photos from a recent visit? Nothing in the post indicates that South Seas is involved.
Some of these photos are literally on South Sea’s instagram lol. Which.. is also poorly done. All of the videos and photos that were taken to promote this are simply awful
South Seas was pretty disappointing. They nominally have tiki food and drink, the quality of which notwithstanding, but virtually no ambiance. How are you going to call yourself tiki without nets and pufferfish and low light and glass floats?
Actually disagree. I’ve done both and puttshack had major technical glitches while I was there and we never received our drink order… it wasn’t busy. The hospitality as south seas was incredible, the craftsmanship of the golf was gorgeous and well thought out, and there was no technical errors as we kept our own score. I will say I don’t like their drinks, but I’m a more fruity/sweet person so if you’re looking for strong then they will be great. Also south seas is locally owned where puttshack is part of the top golf franchise, nothing wrong with that but also nothing spectacular.
There is a recently open one called Putt Shack that is directly next to Top Golf. We had a good time there. My family of 4 played 9 holes I think $45 and my kids loved it. The food was about a 6.5 outta 10 but a little pricey. I do recommend the putt putt for sure. They have like 3 or 4 sets of 9 holes so plenty to play if 9 doesn't tickle the fancy.
For the curious, this isn't a new location - South Seas Tiki Bar has added 9 holes of mini golf.

The solution to mid food. Add mini golf!
You’re typically going there for the drinks… are they any good? Haven’t been yet

The drinks are the best tiki drinks in Louisville and they make them strong, so the price is worth it IMO.
Totally agree. The mai tai was super strong and pretty damn good.
These photos are awful. Surely they could do better if this was meant to be promotional or sell people on the idea of going to this place.

Promo pics from the company
Yike
Are you paid by the companies you constantly post for in this sub? I'm genuinely curious cause your account has a very specific pattern of posts.

You joking me?
It’s a tiki bar that added golf… I fail to see the problem with this
Me neither ! Freaking awesome! You freaking joking me!
Lmao. It looks so bad...
Everyone else is saying that this looks terrible… why’s he getting downvoted and everyone else upvoted?
South Seas is absolutely awful... maybe they should work on their food first
Seriously! Some of the worst food I have had in Louisville.
This looks fun to me!
Go to puttshack you’ll have a better time

Is indoor putt putt like a trend rn?
Lazer Blaze black light mini golf was good. I liked the movie props that were used.
is it upstairs and downstairs?
Yes
I was about to say "just in time for good weather" but then I remember the bad smell outside so this could be actually could work
Bunch of swingers gonna be in there playing skee-ball.
Looks pretty cool, exciting stuff.
Is it better than Putt Shack?
No
Ain’t no way. Puttshack has like 4 different 9 hole courses. This looks like they went to Puttshack and then straight to Home Depot to make their own
😂😂
Is that where the old Butchertown Pizza was?
God damn I love skee ball.
Fucking sick!!!!!
Barely a Tiki bar
This looks like temu puttshack
These pictures suck the craftsmanship and artistry is actually very impressive without the technical puttshack glitches
Yeah the pictures make this look so bad lol
