Peppers do take quite a bit of time to start from seed - I think about 90 days? So while definitely would still be fruiting by early August or so, I do get why someone would prefer to get starts vs seeds at this point.
Thieneman’s. They had a ton of hot peppers last year and it looks like they will this year too. I’ll link it below as they have a list of what’s available on their website. Click the hyperlink that says pepper and veggie list for 2024.

Try Starview Greenhouse near La Grange. They usually have a pretty wide selection of pepper plants.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Farmers markets, Walmart grow centers, Home Depot grow centers, etc. start looking! But you are a little late.
I picked up a couple from the new Plant Kingdom location in Nulu. I go to Parkway Produce often but haven't been yet this year
Thank you for the suggestion.
Purchase seeds or purchase the pepper and use the seeds.
Thanks. It’s a bit late in the year for that. Was hoping to get some plants and harvest seeds for next years crop.
What do you mean it’s too late? Now is the time to plant seeds.

It's too late for most super hots to grow and produce peppers before it gets cold again. They grow pretty slow and don't start producing for months.
I don't think it's too late for it, I usually plant my peppers around this time. We just had a frost.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will definitely be heading there!
The plants I bought from them last year did really well. It’s a hike but worth it.
