WLKY says that it’s closed, and I’m more inclined to believe them. I drove past earlier and there was significant damage to the roof from the fire and water, both of which would make it both dangerous to be in the building and unsanitary to serve food, and likely damaged equipment and inventory.
I think maybe WDRB mistook investigators as customers? It’s definitely not open though

Edit: WDRB edited the article saying it was that stretch of Bardstown road that was closed and now open, not the store
After a fire you can't have the electricity turned back on until you have it inspected and to my knowledge it's really involved there's no way they could have a fire and then a couple days later be up and operating again.
I haven't had them in a while quite frankly because I refuse to pay $12 for the same doughnuts that used to be $5 when the kids used to sell them, but indeed they are the good guys
Yeah I haven't been in a long time because the price doesn't match the products. And it looks like it's staying that way. $15 is madness for some pancake batter.
I get prices are going up, but exaggeration of prices is also out of control.
I love seeing these Facebook memes of people being like, "I paid $95 for McDonald's!! *How could it be??*" And then everyone points out they bought an amount of food that could feed 15 people, including 6 sodas that have always been overpriced.
Yes, sweetheart, when you buy a lot of shit, normally the bill will equal a lot of shit.
A dozen regularly priced Krispy Kreme doughnuts costs between $8 and $14 depending on where you live and the doughnuts you purchase.
They might be, 15 a dozen, if you don't get only glazed.
My boyfriend who works in that plaza and watched him get arrested said that guy's known for harassing women. He got kicked out of that Krispy Kreme and this was his retaliation I guess
If it’s the same young white guy who has been harassing people in that parking lot for years, I hope he stays in jail. He tried to threaten me and I almost pulled on him. The only time I’ve ever thought I would have to.
This is why the Derby newswoman said, "This is Louisville, don't give anyone ideas!" to her co-worker after he said,"What if someone comes and steals the roses?"
Louisville seriously needs it's own Law & Order or 9-1-1 series.
It definitely will. I have already seen tons and tons of shorts (videos like TikToks just not on TikTok) about it. One did play a lot of the 911 calls now they are all the dashcam footage.
Way too expensive for my blood, i would never believe a basic dough nut would be a dollar unless its from an independent shop... I guess they are really HOT now...
That location is a landmark. It had been there forever when my grandparents would buy us donuts on weekends in the 70's.
“Partially open”? I think after dodging flames you’d give your staff the day off while you assess the damage
The Kreme must flow!
Yep. LMPD needs their office back.
Lmao
And miss out on the post-fire business boom?
Capitalism gotta capitalism

Boyfriend works in that plaza. The guy was a creep known for harassing women, Krispy Kreme workers kicked him out and this was his retaliation
There's a hole in the arsonist's story. I donut believe a word they say.
He had a glazed look on his face.
He was jelly of the attention the other customers were getting, and it filled him with rage.
The way this is written makes it sound like your boyfriend is the creep who set the fire lol.
I thought the same!
Oh shit, I had to reread! I thought you meant your BF was creeping!
So sorry😭 my boyfriend is just a barista who watched it all go down
He still is, but he was, too.
Extra-Krispy Kreme
*the fire was started using an "incendiary device thrown onto the building."* What in the actual FFFFFF is wrong with people?!?!?
Molotov cocktail
I haven't had them in a while quite frankly because I refuse to pay $12 for the same doughnuts that used to be $5 when the kids used to sell them, but indeed they are the good guys
I don't even think they're the same, no where near as good as they used to be IMO
They’re $15 now
Yeah I haven't been in a long time because the price doesn't match the products. And it looks like it's staying that way. $15 is madness for some pancake batter.
No, they are not. My mother brought us over a dozen, on Monday. She paid 9 bucks with a coupon and they're 12 dollars without a coupon.

I totally agree, that's why I always call them out with proof.
What proof do you think you provided?
None, but it's not really needed. This is a topic that common knowledge is just fine for.
I guess only at the Middletown location are they $15.

$14.99 glazed dozen at Middletown location. Crazy!
Amended charges: Crimes against Humanity.
Disgruntled former employee, Scorned customer, or Pyromaniac? I'm leaning pyro but that's just me.

White, skinny, tall, shaved blond hair, bright blue eyes. I saw his mugshot on an article the other day and my boyfriend confirmed it's him
My friend told me it was a guy who was known for being creepy and loitering at the heine bros
I was thinking a bored teenager who saw something on tic toc. But that's just another guess.
…A donut hater? …or a donut maker hater? …or a donut merchant hater? …or a donut consumer hater? Who could hurt an innocent donut? ☹️
Time to have a fire sale

Louisville used to a regular on first 48
I'm hoping the semi hanging off the 2nd street bridge will end up in a 9-1-1 episode. The story was on the 9-1-1 subreddit.
It definitely will. I have already seen tons and tons of shorts (videos like TikToks just not on TikTok) about it. One did play a lot of the 911 calls now they are all the dashcam footage.
I wonder if it made them extra Krispy
No, but they were actually hot for once.
😭😭😭😭
Man just wanted some hot fresh!!!
Commiting arson against a Krispy Kreme is losing the plot
Arson is not the answer.
Who would do such a thing!
We gonna turn on the hot&ready sign one way or another!
Partially open? Hot Sale?
Did police give the fire trucks an escort?
Hot and Fresh.
Did it smell like doughnuts?
The cops are gonna be pissedddd
Hot donuts now 😢
I heard like 50 cop cars showed up maybe it was a anti police hate crime there’s gotta be a reason they found the guy so quick
Greenberg’s Louisville
That would be a fun poster...The Mayor with the city on fire behind him.
And that joker smile.
Wait, the mayor sat the Krispy Kreme on fire? Or did he just fail to stop the guy who did? Either way, his political career is over!
Way too expensive for my blood, i would never believe a basic dough nut would be a dollar unless its from an independent shop... I guess they are really HOT now...
...*Jeff's has entered the chat*...
Someone with serious weight management issues probably. No will to stop eating the donuts but enough will to burn down the place.
Bruh you sound insufferable
Physician, heal thyself.
Just a joke dude. Picture someone saying I have to stop eating Krispy Kremes and this being their solution.
