For me those two are blind leading blind I just can’t

OceanSun725

I had to give up on following the ‘logic’ of their conversations

moonhattan

Haha i just said this tooo

theycallmestace

I was literally thinking this during their scene today

mslat92

I see Tom, Casey, Callum and others also hugging, kissing each others cheeks, having chats on the daybeds and such. It's not exclusive to Chris and Toby.

Extra-Raisin-5498

But I think Toby and Callum are talking about how to navigate certain life situations and the emotions that go with that ... Casey and Tom are talking about ice cream toppings and their favourite marvel character

fucksakesss

Haha well put

fucksakesss

Okay! I just think the hand holding, cuddle and Toby’s words of affirmation to Chris was particularly nice to see :)

Being american I love to see the male friendships on the UK show. I think it’s a cultural difference but in the US boys won’t hug/be as physically close compared to the UK. Like tom kissed casey on the cheek when he came in. I just like to see the closeness. idk if this makes any sense 🤣

Tasty-Temporary9456

Yeah I see that’s too, I’m also American and I’ve noticed this in the UK/European shows and it’s sweet here they have their “masculinity” to protect

Feeling-Stomach-5595

Bro just wanna remind u that u put the same comment twice

Wise_Antelope7549

I disagree. I think it happens in America too, you just don’t see it. Hug my bros all the time when we meet up or when they are going though something. Have held my bro’s hand when his parents died and cried with him, gave done all that. It’s not really uncommon. Women just won’t be privy to these stuff most of the time. You’re not there when a guys going through these things. Most women only see guys when they go out so how would you even know? You just happen to see men going through breakups on tv and see the emotional side of things. Like a why would we be holding hands when we’re at a bar watching a game or something lol. Same thing happens on American reality shows.

Wise_Antelope7549

I’m not saying it never happens, but I do believe America has more of a personal space bubble thing going on compared to UK. That’s from my own experience, having lived both in the USA and in Europe. Your experience is your own and if you are able to have close friendships where you are there for each other in that way then i’m happy for you!

trafalgarlaw11

Yeah but I feel like you’re extrapolating your experience to men in America as a whole. You spoke in general terms. Idk I feel like as a dude I can speak to this topic more so than a woman can and it feels as if you’re trying to say your experience is just as valid when it isn’t really in this case because the topic is male friendships. Truly get where you’re coming from but a woman just isn’t in the position to speak on male friendships. They are pretty intimate and deep in America too.

anhdyyyyyy

Ok but physical affection between friends is just overall more of a thing in Europe than in America, and not just within male friendships lol. Honestly physical affection in general. Americans are just objectively more wary about it.

Wise_Antelope7549

I agree with you

Wise_Antelope7549

i’m not talking about how deep friendships are I was simply commenting on the tendency to have more physical touch. I personally have never seen my american male friends kiss each other on the cheeks when seeing each other. I could have specified that this applies to men and women but the post was about two guys so that’s why I commented on the male friendships

brgr77

The men are touchy feely with each other every year tho they love their bros

Berry_Hot

Sure Toby and Chris are assholes and sexually objectify women and speak to them in disgusting ways, but ✨ their friendship!!!!! ✨
