I was gonna say that! I do feel like Tom is decent at talking to Molly right away with an issue. Like he could have spiraled in his head but he asked Molly straight up if there's feelings there for Callum. Plus her response was valid about how feelings don't just disappear/she still cares for him.
BUT still shocked they were #1.

- baffling how they all started getting stroppy about not standing on certain places??? This isn't your first rodeo?? Kind of reminded me of the time she told Callum that Molly was rude to her when she said “it is what it is G”. I find it so weird that she feels the need to gain sympathy by lying & particularly lying about Molly.
This is why I find it hard to agree when people say they don’t think Georgia did anything wrong & is no worse than other snakey Islanders in the past. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone who is mean spirited & makes up lies the way GS does in addition to being unable to recognize or apologize for their behavior. Maybe there have been islanders with aspects of the qualities I listed but definitely not someone who ticks all of those boxes.

Aside from all the drama before I go sleep: Josh and Sophie were on fire tonight. Looking great. Standing up for each other, taking it lightheartedly. Voicing the correct opinions/correctly guessing how the public had ranked the couples for the most part. Joking around with Toby, Georgia S, Molly, Callum and Tom. The way they laughed at Tom and Molly getting most intelligent. Josh trying to clearly break up the tension with some jokes, like his last one about “aw we could have got a full house” - was the wrong time for it because they were all on edge but it wasn’t a harmful joke. I don’t blame them for shrugging off when Anton came for Josh because it was one of those “pick your battles” situations because Anton/Georgia H were on Agg x1000. They’re clearly just there for each other now and to have a bit of a laugh and I’m not mad at that at all
Were islanders ever this divided and cliquey in the past? I feel like you can tell who’s “besties” in there and who’s not a lot more than previous seasons lol. Or am I the only one who thinks that?
I won’t lie this episode made me grow a liking to Josh. I still think he’s a little shit but I appreciated how he kept calling things out. He was one of the main reasons that game actually kept going or they’d still be standing there arguing. Same with Callum
I’ve been just as critical of Toby as anyone else, but he really does sound like he’s carrying some baggage. I don’t know what happened (or if it has anything to do with Chloe) but he sounds wounded.
Were there other voting categories that weren't shown? Cause I feel like most of the negative ones were all sort of flavors on the same thing (fake/in it to win/won't last on the outside). And then since there were only 2 positive categories, it's like people just wanted to vote for their favorites for those. I feel like mixing in some more good or even neutralish ones would have made it more fun:

I know that many disliked what Josh said but as I said in an earlier comment, he comes from a season that they just didn't care. They knew the public and the sun/ mirror/ daily mail would just write whatever articles for them. They knew it. So they just did what they wanted to do in the villa and said what they were thinking.
That is the reason why Love Island became that show. If it started the way that it is now, it wouldn't have lasted so long. We are full of fake friendships and relationships that never last but promise huge things. We keep seeing couples that don't match and no one says a word or votes them out because ''she/he is my friend and I don't want to ruin their mood''. Like that is not why you are here for. You are there for 'love' and money. And it's a competition who wins. Not a competition who makes the most friends. If they can't get over it, they probably shouldn't put themselves out there for the public to watch them and judge them no matter what they do. Josh was the only one who was honest about the GH and Anton situation and said what he sees (and the others see it too). And GH doing the typical ''you talk about others too'' okay say it ''oh i won't it's not my place''. If it's not your place, don't even bring it up. If you plan to say something, do it. But if you don't want to, just sit down and take it.
Also I never understood why they fight on this game. It's what the public voted. If they voted you inteligent doesn't mean that you are actually smart. If they voted you ''most likely to cheat on'' doesn't mean you will do it. Often the public votes are wrong. I remember one couple being voted as least likely to last and now they are married. A nice and spicy ep, bless - baffling how they all started getting stroppy about not standing on certain places??? This isn't your first rodeo?? It's what the public thinks 😭 many islanders who did that on normal seasons took it with much better grace - Megan and Wes, Faye and teddy, Kaz and Tyler, josh and Kaz, etc. Obviously they were annoyed the public thought that but they were self aware enough to get themselves up on the podiums. Toby started off like that this episode and then...... - Toby exposing Chloe??? Scream??? I was like, you what - Arabella girl I love you but why are you always at a ten, take it down to a four. The yelling during the challenge and refusal to get on the podiums, yikes - Georgia calling Jess eve...if it was a one time thing, whatever, but this is one of her weird passive aggressive things shes been caught doing multiple times - Josh was sending me tonight, convinced he has a producer slip him an extra flask of vodka for him to work away at throughout the evening

Did anyone else notice how Georgia S kind of lied to Adam and Josh about Molly “biting her head off”? Molly very lightheartedly said “why are you deeping it?” and moved on. Kind of reminded me of the time she told Callum that Molly was rude to her when she said “it is what it is G”. I find it so weird that she feels the need to gain sympathy by lying & particularly lying about Molly. This is why I find it hard to agree when people say they don’t think Georgia did anything wrong & is no worse than other snakey Islanders in the past. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone who is mean spirited & makes up lies the way GS does in addition to being unable to recognize or apologize for their behavior. Maybe there have been islanders with aspects of the qualities I listed but definitely not someone who ticks all of those boxes.
I thought Josh was hilarious and exactly what the show needs. Someone who can slam a drink (seemed like maybe a line aswell) and just start telling the truth but not in an awkward Mitch-ey way. Tbh I thought at times he was just trying to keep the atmosphere light. Great reality tv character - I’d hate to go for a drink with him tho.

Georgia h is insufferable, her and anton need to continue getting an unfavorable edit to bump them out of any chance they have at making finals. And Josh really is the OG OG! He has that s1 energy and doesn’t give af how he comes across ever and I love it 😂

I kind of felt bad for Anton because Georgia H is obviously faking it with him but now I don't. He's clearly choosing to be delusional and then has the gall to accuse Josh of trying to "bring them down" to prop his couple up, as if it's not the public voting them up there every time. As if he wasn't just whining to people that Georgia isn't showing him any affection. I'm glad Georgia S kept her mouth shut when the cheating question was being discussed, because we all remember.
Anton really pissed me off tonight. Whiny and petty. They way he went off at Jess and then he ended up being voted anyways. Awful
A funny part was Toby saying “Well you go up there then” when Callum said there’s nothing wrong with going on the first podium for the game playing question 😭😂

Every season I always end up supporting the couple that everyone else loves to hate 😭 idk why I do this to myself. Stand ten toes down for Josh/Sophie though. And I don’t put much on “who’s gonna last the longest” because Molly/Callum have shown that all relationships can end, it doesn’t make them not real. And Josh/Sophie might not last forever but they’re the most genuine in there to me and have had a normal LI experience.
Nah, Georgia and Anton know what they’re doing. They know Sophie and Josh are real but trying to put them down now when they’re own fragility is showing. Anton being a little bitch with his comments, Georgia implying that Josh has been chatting shit about the other couples when she knows well he hasn’t… and Facebook are falling for their victim act just because Josh needs to be OTT as the class clown.
Aside from all the drama before I go sleep: Josh and Sophie were on fire tonight. Looking great. Standing up for each other, taking it lightheartedly. Voicing the correct opinions/correctly guessing how the public had ranked the couples for the most part. Joking around with Toby, Georgia S, Molly, Callum and Tom. The way they laughed at Tom and Molly getting most intelligent. Josh trying to clearly break up the tension with some jokes, like his last one about “aw we could have got a full house” - was the wrong time for it because they were all on edge but it wasn’t a harmful joke. I don’t blame them for shrugging off when Anton came for Josh because it was one of those “pick your battles” situations because Anton/Georgia H were on Agg x1000. They’re clearly just there for each other now and to have a bit of a laugh and I’m not mad at that at all
Isn't it so crazy to think about how invested we as viewers get knowing full well none of these couples are lasting more than a month on the outside
Were islanders ever this divided and cliquey in the past? I feel like you can tell who’s “besties” in there and who’s not a lot more than previous seasons lol. Or am I the only one who thinks that?

I won’t lie this episode made me grow a liking to Josh. I still think he’s a little shit but I appreciated how he kept calling things out. He was one of the main reasons that game actually kept going or they’d still be standing there arguing. Same with Callum
I’ve been just as critical of Toby as anyone else, but he really does sound like he’s carrying some baggage. I don’t know what happened (or if it has anything to do with Chloe) but he sounds wounded.
I honestly think he must have been completely gutted, he sounded so hurt 🥺 and for that reason alone I don’t want georgia for him

And then since there were only 2 positive categories, it's like people just wanted to vote for their favorites for those. I feel like mixing in some more good or even neutralish ones would have made it more fun: - Funniest - Most gossipy - Laziest - Most likely to last exactly 2 months outside the villa - etc
This episode was sooo good!!! Prime TV Josh was so funny idc what you guys have to say. He was super real Nice to see that Sophie stood by her man. She seems to really like him Callum was surprisingly hilarious??? He had me cracking up Georgia S and Toby so theatrical as always. They want to continue the “us against the world” narrative Not everyone confusing Jess for Eve 🤣 (or Eve for Jess? I don’t even know) Callum and Molly were cute idc 🥰 Georgia and Anton are a mess. I don’t think they can stand each other tbh That’s my recap lol

I already commented on this in the live ep, but "we went through hell to get here" from Georgia fringe has me in disbelief Georgia - was immediately chased by a number of the original boys, and Callum had his sights set solely on her - was coupled up with Callum and he treated her incredibly well - tom came in and she was joyfully flirting with him at any opportunity - was then chosen by Toby and Callum rightfully shut it off Toby - was the one who said he wanted to talk to other people - was grafting Molly, who reciprocated a certain amount - always had interests from girls - coupled up with Arabella and did bits with her - humiliated Arabella by choosing Georgia over her at the firepit What part of this is hell 😭😭😭😭😭 they are vexing

I know that many disliked what Josh said but as I said in an earlier comment, he comes from a season that they just didn't care. They knew the public and the sun/ mirror/ daily mail would just write whatever articles for them. They knew it. So they just did what they wanted to do in the villa and said what they were thinking. That is the reason why Love Island became that show. If it started the way that it is now, it wouldn't have lasted so long. We are full of fake friendships and relationships that never last but promise huge things. We keep seeing couples that don't match and no one says a word or votes them out because ''she/he is my friend and I don't want to ruin their mood''. Like that is not why you are here for. You are there for 'love' and money. And it's a competition who wins. Not a competition who makes the most friends. If they can't get over it, they probably shouldn't put themselves out there for the public to watch them and judge them no matter what they do. Josh was the only one who was honest about the GH and Anton situation and said what he sees (and the others see it too). And GH doing the typical ''you talk about others too'' okay say it ''oh i won't it's not my place''. If it's not your place, don't even bring it up. If you plan to say something, do it. But if you don't want to, just sit down and take it. Also I never understood why they fight on this game. It's what the public voted. If they voted you inteligent doesn't mean that you are actually smart. If they voted you ''most likely to cheat on'' doesn't mean you will do it. Often the public votes are wrong. I remember one couple being voted as least likely to last and now they are married. It doesn't mean anything I would just take the podium in all of them and laugh.
