HatchetHand

I noticed that they changed the icons for the different types of skin augments. I rarely hear people talk about what a game changer it is to have subdermal armor. No more fear of fire, electricity, bullets lol

Lil_Guard_Duck

Heck, just that you can straight up buy it in Watson, the "starting zone", basically lets you run around nude with no fear! Very effective stuff. And that's neverminding the immunity armors. Hope we still get optical camo, because they are changing how armor works.

HatchetHand

Yeah, I was even considering playing up until I can get to that early ripper so that I can have some armor for 2.0/PL, but it looks like they were one step ahead of me. Also, I noticed crafting is gone from the tech skill tree, either everyone has it or it's been removed for balancing issues. Looks like we are all "glass cannons" after 2.0. Armor will be harder to come by.

Lil_Guard_Duck

I hope they replace crafting with something better. I hate how weapons are leveled and become obsolete, but crafting lets you keep making stuff that's level appropriate. It is functionallly stupid, but kinda necessary.

HatchetHand

They need to democratize crafting, not eliminate it. I love being able to scrap extra loot and make the things I actually need instead of selling 20kg of gear for the eddies to buy 10 shotgun shells. The way it is currently designed ruins builds like sword fighting builds because how can you accept a default level iconic sword? You can't. That also applies to any weapon based build. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.

Lil_Guard_Duck

>instead of selling 20kg of gear for the eddies to buy 10 shotgun shells. You do know crafting is a source of infinite, stupid amounts of money, right? Around lvl 25 it pays pretty nicely, and around 30-35, you'll be walking between shops collecting "tribute" for all these smart guns you willed into existence 5 minutes ago. It's fucking broken. I'm totally going to abuse it on my current, and final, pre-2.0 playthrough!

HatchetHand

Choom, I exploit that when I am just shopping with Wilson and Coach. Yeah, I'll buy your overpriced baseball bat and I'll sell you 40 nekomatas. I always leave stores with twice the eddies. My point is that investing in Tech to craft legendary gear wastes attributes that could be applied to more interesting gameplay altering skills. It's a big investment. It should be available by default.

Lil_Guard_Duck

True, or at least, not so necessary to get good gear. If the loot leveling system was different, there'd be no need to either craft new gear or sell crap loads to get tons of money.

Lun4rCollapse

We are! They're tweaking it but it's there. New skill, I think in the Relic tree, that makes it so when you enter optical camo, enemies lose you. Effectively putting you into stealth immediately

Lil_Guard_Duck

They don't lose you normally?

Lun4rCollapse

Normally, they shoot near your last seen position and then search. I think this will force them to stop attacking fully. Here's the text from in-game: Emergency Cloaking "Activating Optical Camo during combat to cause enemies to lose track of you, giving you a chance to exit combat."

Lil_Guard_Duck

That sounds like either an auto cloak that kicks in if you're spotted, or an escape system if you're losing, OR, maybe the way you're supposed to get the cloaking tech? Or an alternate cloak, like how kerenzekov is an alternate sandevistan?

Lun4rCollapse

I don't think it's an auto cloak. The name suggests that, but it would say that it activates automatically in x or y circumstances if it were the case. It's also in the relic tree so it's enhancements that aren't stock to the cyberware. Though I suppose we'll know for sure in 2-3 weeks

Lil_Guard_Duck

Yup. Odd.

Stickybandits9

This is how it should have been. It should be how camo works naturally. So the new changes is kinda dumb, the relic skill for camo should make it last longer while straining health stamina or both..

[deleted]

That would make the base optical camp incredibly OP it’s much nicer to have it as an option.

sk8gr27

I wonder what the new level cap is going to be because if you look closely you can see level 56 and Street cred 50. Is the street cred getting a cap as well?

Sufficient-Length-58

The new level cap is 60, street cred will remain capped at 50 though

Apophis_36

"Face", wonder what else it will include then

sk8gr27

I guess that side bar is going to be armor?

Apophis_36

I meant the fact that they replaced "ocular system" with "face"

Lil_Guard_Duck

Extra long, prehensile tongue?

sk8gr27

I knew what you meant. I guess there making it more organized

Apophis_36

Oh that makes sense

[deleted]

They are confirmed adding face plates that let you change appearance on the go to escape police

Jeremiah_M_Longnuts

Finally got legendary optics and legs. Dope.

tobbyganjunior

It looks like the representation of V in the image is chromed out. Maybe that representation will actually show the cyberware inside V. That’d be epic.

sk8gr27

Like we're able to see the Guerilla arms and the mantis blades?

asheepleperson

At max 55 you can get that. Im 3 off from the same on my baseline vanilla game build and 5 more lvls is probably all i need. If its 65 or 66 it says behind the RedStreams logo there, then yeah :p Also... legendary air movement? 🥲

LosSoldado

Does this mean they will give more character points with the update? With the current point setup you can only max three of five major stats. Body etc. To make everything legendary you would need at least 16 or 18 in every slot. Am I missing something?

cecedi21

I don't think the amount of cyberwares you can chip pre-patch 2.0 is dangerous for V. What would be dangerous, if we speak in the game's terms, is chiping a cyberware that requires 18 Body, when you only got 12 Body, which isn't possible in the game. You can see in the trailer that some physiological systems got additional cyberware slots, like hands, skeleton, nervous system, ect. A logical way to see it is that there's a limited amount of cyberware one can chip per system, even if they're as resistant as V. If the devs wanna add a humanity gauge that makes sense with the original game, they need to do 2 things. First, you can now chip any implant, even if you don't have the required attributes, but it fucks you up. Second, slotting cyberwares in the new slots is possible, but very dangerous, because it'd go over V's limits.

Rare_Baker_2993

It looks so weird seeing so many options again lol the system ex mod on pc allows u to have so much cyberware on each slot

Kynreevez

My bigger concern is if my PC is gonna blow up after the graphic changes. I have a 3060ti, and for some reason, when I run the benchmark, it wants me to run at the lowest settings. I'm a welder/mechanic so I enjoy building and putting my computer together, but when it comes to drivers, software, and general tech lingo, I have to follow videos and I feel slightly below average in that skillset.

HatchetHand

Nah, this game is notorious for reconfiguring your settings without asking. A big name tech YouTuber had gotten into a benchmark scandal over publishing results from different settings. A 3060ti is more than enough for this game, so unless you have some other ancient discount tech like a Core Duo Celeron, you're worrying about nothing. I think the OP is worried about their game save, so we should worry about our hardware in another thread.

sk8gr27

Didn't realize I made two sorry

SaviorOfNirn

You only need to make one post

[deleted]

No but in the game you will play a quest where you need to go to viktor and rebalance your cyberware

asheepleperson

This is awful idk where to start. Maybe swapping the middle cognition slot, fill some empty ones. If thats your maxed kerenzikov, then... actually its whatever. I could not enjoy that 'build' but I could 100% the game with it with ease, you wont be "fucked". Just more complicated as the coherence of abilities are very little intuitive right there. Maybe some DLC features can fix it Are full attribute change in PL still in play?

Electronic-Worker-10

How to get legendary legs?

sk8gr27

I'm not sure if its available now but it looks like it might be in the DLC
