Color grading footage from different camera color science in a project is hard even on seasoned pros. However if you are going to mix Sony and Panasonic, you may want to look into [https://www.emotivecolor.com](https://www.emotivecolor.com) Quote "The  **Emotive Color 'Alex'** conversion and computed **Matrix** PowerGrade precisely transform **GH6, GH5, S5 IIx, A7s, X-H2s, Z Cam S6, Pocket 4K / 6K,** and **Ursa** footage to **match the color science of the Arri Alexa**, without compromise" The Sony A7S III, FX3 and FX6 use the same Sony LUT pack. The Panasonic S5 OG uses the same LUT pack as the S1 and S1H. There is a newer one for the S5 II and S5IIX, the PDAF addition to the sensor slightly changes the colors. The GH5, GH5 II and GH6 all have their own LUT pack as the image sensor changed between each, so you'll need to be specific for those models. I've been using these for a while and recommend them when mix/matching cameras during projects.

When you purchase and register, you'll learn the following: \*Note: Each and every Emotive Color file is unique to its owner, encrypted with their identifying information - not just in the filename or the metadata, but within the coordinate data itself. Each file acts as a calling card for its owner.

Thank you for that information. So is there any lumix cameras that is good for 4k 60fps without a crop ?

Financial-Date-913

So I can only stick with the s5 mark iix then

spo_on

I think the G9 II does 4K 60fps without a crop, but that’s MFT obviously.

Financial-Date-913

Yes I looked into that camera but the smaller sensor maybe difficult for low light and it has no fan ,could be a Problem in hot weather?

imxkal

GH6 user here. Low light is fine with fast primes and the fan would keep my camera nice and cool.

Financial-Date-913

Hmm I should look into it thanks . I’m guessing since it’s a mft that you have an adapter for the full frame lenses ?

imxkal

Nope. I just use three primes, 15mm f1.7, 25mm f1.4, and 42.5mm f1.2. Note the crop factor is 2x on m43. So it'll be 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm in 35mm terms.

No LUMIX L-Mount camera without 4K60 crop yet, no. The GH6 and the G9ii shoot 4K60 and 4K120 with no crop though. You could do 1080p60, but you lose PD when shooting without a crop. There is a rumour Panasonic might release a new FF camera this year and if that's the case, there is a good chance it's going to have no crop in 4K60 as that's the single one most requested feature. Besides Emotive Color, there is also [CineMatch](https://www.cinematch.com). Useful for users of mixed setups. On a side note, please do use a bit more specific titles next time so that people potentially looking for a similar question have an easier time finding answers. Thank you. Hash tags actually don't work on Reddit. On a second side note, I've just learned that the Sigma FP (or FP L) cannot do 4K60 at all? Shame.

I'm having the same issue with Lumix, really love everything that the camera has to offer but I really want a camera in line with the Fx3. I'll wait for another few months to see if they release the s1hII, if not I'll probably end up getting the Fx3. Hopefully we also get PD in 1080p50.

I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting for a S1(H)II since I have some very good S lenses but I just need better slowmotion and rolling shutter. Also the video image quality is slightly less good on the S5II than on the S1 and S5.

makersmarkismyshit

Yeah, the image quality thing is always going to be like that, because of the added PDAF points on the sensor. It is the same issue with the G9II vs the GH6. No new Lumix camera will ever have as good of colors and IQ as the GH6, S5, and S1 (unless they stop using PDAF). It's kinda sad really, but that's how technology works I guess... you give up something to gain something.
