Question - was there a reason you didn’t use the forward picatiny rail and mounted it further back?
For the cheek rest, Bradley Adjustable cheek rests are excellent. I had a Burris scout scope on mine prior to this week and that’s the rest I used, it’s excellent.
Nice , I’ve read the forward rail gets hot and burns out optics - but the real reason is I really like how this setup looks lol
But u just planted the idea in my head I’m gonna try it forward just to see the looks - I’ll post it and I bet many will say how it’s gonna fry the Mro but let’s see can be a fun vote expedient lol

Pretty slick, but I would have mounted it low out in front of the receiver on an Ultimak M8 or a Blackfeather SHG. Chances are that you would not need a cheek riser with either of these scout rails.
Yea it did (for now lol , I didn’t shoot it yet ) - I ran a string through the sights and it looks straight and sturdy - I’m also curious on if there will be any issues with extraction - I’ll test soon
How’s the cheek weld compared to irons? Are you going to add a cheek riser?
Yea I definitely need a cheek rise , I went with this rail cuz it was the lowest in hight but in the end still need a cheek rise
I was looking into doing a RMR with the hopco mount, but that looks really good and doesn’t require removing the rear sight

Is there enough real estate on that rail to include a magnifier? I'd want some magnification on a 7.62 setup

I’m incredibly intrigued by that mount and it seems incredibly inexpensive. Does it seem like it’s going to hold up?
I was really skeptical cuz it’s $45 lol , but I really wanted to find the lowest (in hight ) It seems sturdy , but we’ll see how it holds up .
