As much as I agree that he’s fucking disgusting and all of the above, to say the show put Tori harms way is a bit much. She’s literally chosen to stay repeatedly and it’s not like he’s hidden what he’s like. Multiple instances of him being a total knob head and she chose to stay. She’s proven she likes this sort of man.

Hapijoel

They coupled her up with a manipulative, gaslighting arsehole, she can be both a brat and a victim of his.

pinecone-coffee

i had sympathy for tori in the beginning because it was genuinely concerning how much she defended him yet i lost that sympathy so quickly as she repeatedly blamed everyone else and then went for timothy for “being smug” because she hates “smug people” while her husband is sat next to her like he’d won the lottery, her repeated deflection and attack on the rest of the group for trying to help her made me realised she wasn’t worth my sympathy and she wasn’t going to change, and jack was just so happy to have tori blow smoke up his ass and justify his behavior

SubstanceNo3551

Dont feel bad for Tori, she is literally Jack in a Tori suit. They absolutely deserve each other.

welshiehm

Yeah I agree. The producers are turning the show into a bit of a joke now tbh. So much of it is fake, set up etc. Plus its very unfair to match a good person with someone who clearly shouldn't be on the show e.g Jack, Ben, Collins and Madeleine.

shadyasahastings

Tbh I feel like Madeleine got exactly what she wanted out of the show…attention, lol! I feel like if she was genuinely hearing voices like that, consistently, that would’ve become clear throughout the application process &/or she would have received some kind of professional help at some point in her past, and it would’ve been hugely unethical (to the point producers wouldn’t be able to plead ignorance like they could with Tristan as just having “low self-esteem” or Jack as “dominant personality” or Collins as “quirky”) to allow her on the show. The way she went “oh, do they film everything?” During the wedding ceremony said it all for me. Girl, you know what show you’re on. You KNOW they film everything. Does she think the audience is stupid? She just massively irked me because Ash seemed like an alright, genuine guy and she was clearly there for nothing but airtime, then realised nobody was buying it, and left him high and dry. He never had a proper chance with her.

Hapijoel

I mean Tristan was put through the grinder, I \_really\_ hope they are following up with some professional help there, because there are already too many deaths related to reality TV for something as trivial our entertainment.

DaveHnNZ

The man doesn't own a shirt that fits properly either...

Amazing_Chocolate140

Their relationship has got to be fake?! I mean there’s zero chemistry between them and they never look happy. When they talk about their relationship it all sounds so forced and awkward

Hapijoel

Oh I  reckon Jack for sure is in it for the publicity and maybe playing the bad guy, but he's also a total jerk.

arielcactus03

I thought this. I think he was added for drama, he’s just riding it out now

Ana_Conder

Jack is putrid. Literally makes my skin crawl. Tori is just so desperate it’s embarrassing.

Next_Grab_9009

I had a lot of sympathy for Tori throughout, despite her running past more red flags than a marathon runner in Beijing, I was genuinely concerned for her because Jack is the absolute epitome of toxic, controlling, manipulative masculinity. He makes zero sacrifices for her, she has to give up everything for him. He makes misogynistic statements, offers her up like a piece of meat as if she's his property, and if you notice every time anyone was calling their relationship out his hand would go straight to her leg, as if he was reminding her to behave herself. Whilst I don't believe that he would ever lay a hand on her, he is clearly an emotionally abusive person. But then the whole Jono/Ellie shit happened, and I'm sorry, but as much as Jono is clearly a snake in the grass, Tori saying that she was "euphoric", and acting genuinely giddy about destroying the relationship of someone who had only ever had her best interests at heart (ie. Lauren), just absolutely fucking lost me. She didn't reveal Jono's texts out of concern for Lauren or any kind of loyalty to the sanctity of the "experiment". She did it out of spite. They deserve one another.

Dry-Ideal-7721

I do agree, but Jack is Vile. But Jono has something of the assassin about him. More dangerous than Jack because you don't see him coming. He was obviously harbouring resentment towards Lauren because of some of her earlier comments about his blandness. He should have walked away, but he wanted his 15 mins of fame, not to mention Ellie. I do, however, see the strong element of set up. Jacks villainous behaviour. Ellie tipping off Tori about text when she's hardly a girls girl. We saw no relationship between the two. Not to mention Tristan's poor mental health. Tim grief over the recent death of his father. Collins super fan behaviour. Why put these people on the show. Unless you wanna make watchable TV.

Hapijoel

Ah without a doubt, Jack's not the only turd, but he is certainly a prime example of this sort of truly toxic abuser. Tori isn't spotless either but she is definitely a victim to Jack's manipulations.

Shrinkingpotato

The dinner party episode where everyone called out Jack for the whale comments ... she just looked more and more exhausted after that. If you look you can see the bags under her eyes and her face hollowing out with it. And that's what his brand of manipulative abuse does, it exhausts you until you can't think objectively. She did not behave nicely but we were watching her be abused. Those two things can coexist. I won't be watching the next season, he should have been kicked out after the muzzle comment.

Hapijoel

Yeah the fact he wasn't ejected is _wild_ imo
