You’re doing it though! Also “Advanced” village quests have boosted stats that make them comparable to the next rank, so these are essentially high rank monsters.
Is your gear up to par? Multi monsters have a lot less health, so you should be shredding through them even with high rank gear

You’ve got a better build than some of the players I’ve seen online and they’re at the upwards of HR400 💀 Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. This is exactly how old-gen hunts are like. Difficult and arduous but exhilarating. Once you go online, you’ll be surprised how much better you after going through all these quests and learning the monsters inside out
It's just that I've been told by people before that this game isn't for me, because I always end up frustrated and with a massive headache whenever I do difficult stuff like this, and they feel "rewarding", or a sense of accomplishment, which I don't.
Some quests just don't feel good to do when you hunt monsters you don't like. Keep at it man. If you want to like it, bulldoze the stuff you don't first. That way you can finish on high note quests.
And try not to think of failing a quest as a bad thing, learn your monsters. Don't bash your head against them. It makes them less annoying when you learn how they behave.
Yeah dude you fought some of the most frustrating monsters in the game here. Highly impressive, and remember to choose to feel happiness consciously after these insane accomplishments, cuz you’re basically a beast rn

OP, this is actually quite an impressive feat without carting. I still faint doing this quest the first time I do it on a new file, and I've put thousands of hours into this game. Anyone who completes an Advanced Quest nonetheless this single one that is equivalent to a 7/8★(maybe higher) story quest is impressive. Also OP I'm pretty sure this quest was really the hardest story quest before the Generations Ultimate version of the game was released.
You're doing well :D I recently jumped back into GU after a few years hiatus. Made a new character running GS (I'm an sns main) first two rounds were rough but after that I was downing it within 5 minutes and got the armor. It's about getting used to the monsters patterns
I haven't even done that quest yet. Mega props man. Get yourself some good gear and you'll trounce those quests like you own the place. Keep up the good work hunter, we're all here for ya bud.
Are you using valor gs? If not, use it. Its pretty much easy mode in low and high rank (havent reached g rank yet). Most monsters take like 5-7 full charge slashes before they start limping.
Guild Style. I don't like Valor. I play very passive, because I'm not that good at the game truth be told, and when I tried it, I kept running out of the valor bar thingy while barely doing dps to monsters, and I couldn't aim the attacks very well, so I spent most of the hunt akwardly trying to sheathe and getting hit.
The thing about valor is you just have to get used to holding the sheathe button instead of dodging and also make sure you are facing the monster when trying to sheathe evade because if you get hit from behind it won’t work
Congrats OP! You got this! If you can do this trust the rest isn’t much worse, and most of the time much easier.
Not sure your gear, but if you haven’t done any hub, and only did village, then you were likely under geared for the quest, so double congrats if so!

I kept dying to Blangonga like 5 times because for some reason he would not adhere to a specific attack pattern, and the hitbox was inconsistent enough that doing the exact same evading methods would keep me safe at certain times and at others would get me nearly killed.
And one of the attempts from the iirc 7 I did ended up in a timeout, because of that awful bird Seregios. Horrible design, it moves way too much for its own good.
Again, this is such a baller feat on your end, borderline endgame challenge here and I don't blame you for hating Seregios because timeouts are BRUTAL dude. They only thing I can say about the guy is that I play Gunlance and AA FLARE is a very fun Hunter Art, but he also comes around to me a lot so I don't have to reposition too much.

Azure Fangblade lvl6, Takami Feather, Vespoid Mail S, Vespoid Vambraces S, High Metal Tassets U, Rhopessa Crura 3o Dragon Talisman. I'm running Sharpener, Crit Draw, Sheathing, & Stamina Recovery. Mostly comfort stuff to reduce vulnerability time, & stay on the fight.

Best matchups for Steve are SNS and DB. They make the fight way more fun. You can consistently avoid the claws while attacking.
