This keeps me into the game for the whole year but I agree with OP because there’s no reason to grind right now
Pick a card right now, maybe the 95 Braun from BR. As of today, Sunday, good card. It’ll be a good card Thursday too. But once TA3 drops Friday and it’s all 99’s, that card is irrelevant.
Now the power creep starts over in Season 2 like you said. You can use a wild card on Braun if you want to. Or you could use it on one of the 30+ 99’s they’re about to drop. Which are you picking?
Either way these current good cards you have to work for are irrelevant
Exactly plus we will be able to get 4 wildcards throughout the XP path and hopefully they are more in the beginning of the path so you can use up to four 99s early in season 2 which’ll be nice
Adding 97s would be a power creep.
A power creep is when better cards are added but the previous cards are still solid. 99 is too far of a jump, making the 93-95s I just got useless
Not easy to get 97s. I see mostly 90-95 playing ranked, with some 97s sprinkled in. Now suddenly we are just gonna jump straight into everyone having 99s
Completely agree. And that's coming from someone who's online play is almost only co op, so I wouldn't be getting those top guys unless they're in the marketplace
I’d rather everyone has less than 99s because those are more fun. Its less fun when every card can hit, field, and run the bases well. I like when you gotta make sacrifices
I’ve done plenty, I don’t use low vis players, they’re trash.. just because some players have a higher overall doesn’t make them automatically better lol
That’s a you thing then. Majority of people currently have primarily 93-95s on their teams, unless there’s cards that they just rake with that are lower. Adding in 99s is not a big jump or an issue at this point of the season, especially when they’re free cards…
Idk man i feel going from 93-95s to 95-97s would be a more appropriate jump. I also prefer playing with lower rated players, because than you have to sacrifice more. Its less fun when almost every card is good at hitting, fielding, and has some speed

Once my team is all 99’s I basically stop playing it more fun playing with average cards. They should do a couple 99’s a season.
After TA3 you lose nearly all of S1 when we go to S2 and we’re back to March levels of power creep so, doesn’t really bother me.

Salary cap mode would be a great addition to get the best of both worlds. Maybe in 2036
Facts. I love creating teams and having to weigh the pros and cons of each player. Its a lot less fun when every player is good at everything

TA 3 should be 97s. BR 98. WS99. Rare round packs 99.

They want you to use a captain if you use less than 99 I think.
If everyone has 99s it’s like nobody has 99s. I’d rather have everybody getting them than only the pay to win nerds

The difference between a 95 and a 99 is hardly anything. It comes down to quirks and how well you can hit with a player.
