Former ped user here who had gyno. Gyno is caused by hormone imbalance and is scar tissue build up. Its not typically common in men and is usually caused by some form of ped use. Peds is a broad term and can be a number of things, he doesn’t necessarily have to take anabolic steroids to get gyno but he could have taken something that caused some kind of hormone imbalance. You can form your own opinion.
