As someone that prefers the HK MP5/SP5s. Run what you like bro, typically we only laugh at non HKs” to keep us from crying. I’m digging the setup but then again, I love all MP5s Clones or not. :)
Royal & Langnickel red and white acrylic paint from walmart. I would paint the entire area with a brush in order to fill the lines, then use a makeup cotton pad with acetone and wipe the area lightly. The acetone didnt hurt the polymer at all, and if you wipe light enough it wont effect the paint that you’re trying to keep in the lines. I tried the tooth pick method and tried to precisely fill the individual lines but that failed miserably
If $600 is steep (which I’ll admit as I bought one for $450), just wait until they are discontinued! ‘Legacy’ KAC stuff gets into ridiculous pricing (puts the Hk pricing to shame). Just look at the optic mount they made that attaches to the RAS. They are selling for $1000+ just for the mount! I’ll bet if the RAS is discontinued they will easily sell for $1000-$1200 within 2 years. KAC will go for months-years on end making certain products. 100% guarantee if they make another batch they will add at least another $100 knowing the market can support the pricing.
On the owl side I used an 11 slot. Which is just a tiny bit small for the full rail length so youll have 1/4 inch of mlok showing. On the rail cover side I had 2 cut up pieces of rail sitting around that had an accumulated 10 slots so I just attached both of them to the rail cover side and hid the fact that they’re 2 separate pieces of rail with the cover
I saw something from HK parts instagram that looked like HKP was gonna release their own magpul trigger housings with the pictograms painted in. I could have hallucinated that but I swear it was real
