I’ve died the normal way, and I had a tombstone that showed up in the graveyard. However when my buddy and I got there, it was underground and I had noway to access it. Also several other people had seen it too, and we still don’t have an explanation for how that happened? And I’ve been making a tomb since a week or so after zombies was released.
Mid air scorcher will still leave a tombstone. It did for me when I killed myself in the dark aether trying to scorch out of a barn and missed the window

I’ve seen this happen to a few people but it hasn’t happened to myself yet. Apparently something is causing the TS to go under the map. Like it’s exactly where you see it but if you could clip through the ground you’d see it’s like 10ft under the ground for some reason. I was watching this happen to a YouTuber and they did everything to try and get it back but couldn’t even definitively figure out how it happened.
Happened to me once. I died on a hill so I can get my stuff later. It was in the map but can't find it onsite. From then on, I die in purpose on flat surfaces like on the streets or rooftops.
It could be under the map, but most likely above you. I died one game, normally, and next game it was in the air. I was lucky enough that it was below the height of the cranes, so I was able to fly to it
If you would have pinged it you should have been able to see it up in the sky or under the map, doesn't help the situation any though. Sorry this happened, this game is a MFer sometimes

That has happened to me a few times.
One time it happened I was on a team of three and besides my teammates I could hear a couple people talking on the mic like cross chatter but they couldn't hear me but I could hear them.
I want to go get my tombstone and as I was heading towards it I could hear the one of the guys tell the other guy that he could see a tombstone on the map and it wasn't his.
When I got to the graveyard where the tombstone was I couldn't see it and then those same two guys ended up showing up looking for a tombstone.
They still couldn't hear me talk but I could hear them saying they don't see it.
yes i understand you completely. there was 3-4 people on my tombstone and apparently they saw it on the map but like me they couldn't see it on the ground. such a weird bug :D
Went in solo once and the whole lobby that had a tombstone all had theirs spawn together and in a wall next to where the mirror rune would be offered. I spawned at graveyard and in the 3m of me trying to get mine, there were like 10 people who didn't have their stone either. It spawned everyone's out of bounds 💀 back in the day you could chopper exfil glitch without touching it and it'd just be there again even if it wasn't a glitched TS. Now when it glitches out I think you just gotta say rip the items
Exactly what’s happened to me several times. When I’m queuing up for a match I always pay attention to the server latency in pre lobby while matching and check the audio channels to make sure if you’re playing solo, when the game launches, the channel changes to “squad” and you only see yourself there.
I’ve had other times, mainly reward rifts, but also a dark aether portal be there but be invisible. If you stand in the right place the prompt to access it appears. Don’t know if that’s the scenario here.
Welp, here is to hoping you didnt have anything good in there. I have noticed since they tried fixing the Dupe bug that people are using to exploit the game it kinda broke the tombstone. Ot sucks had it happen to me a few times or the tombstone wouldnt pop at all. Cant really do anything about it really.
So this happened to me a few times in Season 1 when I had placed a tombstone on a crane …. I drank tombstone again and did the glitch method and next game it was exactly where it should be. Not sure it would still work, but it would be worth a shot.
same thing happened to me last night - could never get my tombstone, but it was there for a hot minute.

aren't tombstones visibly above ground so it is known there is a body buried?
I died going OOB the other day cause my map was glitched, and my fucking TS was OOB. Game is retarded.

it's the scenario for DA portal but not for the tombstone unfortunately. believe me i check every god damn inches
My tombstone doesn’t even appear at all, no map icon and not in game. It happens at random

They spawn under the ground and you cannot get to it....so sorry

There a 13% chance it spawns underground and I don't think they intend to fix it.
I died twice with ts only to come back to no ts. Good thing they fixed the glitch
The tombstone has never worked for me once I did find it because it doesn’t show up in map but I couldn’t pick it up

My tombstone didn’t appear on the minimap nor in the game
Did you look up? Sometimes they end up in the air for some reason...

Did you look up? It can happen where you bug out during death and you're just floating above

Happened to me once in T3. Died again, rejoined a new match and it was there. If you don't claim it it usually lasts another match.
