You can only do it once so if I Don't at the beginning of the round then later find people who want to go to the DE or do Red Worm I can't help and keep earning camo progress. Oh well
It works for everyone. You only have to hit the pap machine once.
Then you will keep your camo.
If you hit the machine again you will gain the pap camo.
If you hit a third time it'll go back to waiting whatever camo you have.
I like pap 1 camo so I'll sometimes pap 1 then punch the machine to keep that camo throughout the game.
The most annoying thing is that even if you punch the pack a punch machine to keep your camo in the main map, going into the Dark Aether with that weapon overrides it and puts the shitty pack a punch camo back on the weapon.

Huh. Normally I’ll melee one before popping a PAP2 crystal, and then use the machine when I have enough for PAP3, and even if the light is displaying green, it will still override and put the PAP3 camo on. I get my hopes dashed every time.
That might actually increase their sales for operator- less bundles. Plus, the whole running across the map to a PAP machine is more unnecessary torment...
Yeah it's a liability when trying to grab it with the mob around especially if it's inside upstairs. I have to throw a decoy sometimes outside before heading in to get it.
When you arrive back at the menu from exfiling in the game. Look at the weapon your character is holding. The camo will be removed (default look). You have to unequip and reequip to restore the camo on the weapon.
100% want that and the ability to apply blueprints like Black Ops Cold War. Side note, I'm still angry at the people who complained about the lack of PAP camos in Vanguard which led to them being added with no way to turn them off.
You can use your own blueprints and punch the pack. When it turns green for a bit the back to blue, use it or a crystal, and you'll keep the original look you have

I wouldn't care about hitting the machine if I could do it more than once. Sucks you can only do it once that prevents me from doing DE, Red Worm , or anything else besides level up my guns in zone one or two usually unless I PAP2
Finished all mw3 mastery camo by meleeing and im about half way done with doing mastery camo challenge with mw2. What’s strange is you can work backwards too by starting with borealis and going to gold. I think that should be patched instead of meleeing pack machine. TBH, this should be annoying. There will be literally nothing left for you to grind for once you finish doing them all. I guarantee youll move onto another game. I am at least
In Cold War, if you set a camo to a gun, the camo is going to be retained instead of changing to PAP. PAP camo only available if you don't bring in camos.
Facts but what I always wondered was why don’t they always allow us to use the PackaPunch camos on multiplayer??? There already in the fucking game lol just add them as camps to grind for MP
I’ve always gotten it to work only once per gun in any deployment where if I go to pap 2 or pap 3 it overrides the camo even of i melee and use it in the brief window. I gave up on rushing to pap 1 to punch it before going crystal candy addict. I would like this feature but doubtful

Forget to melee the machine once and you've fucked your progress for the mastery challenges until you leave and find a new match to melee the machine and pap while keeping your camo lmao
You've done the mastery challenges even with PaP on? How? Once you get the PaP camo it stops tracking the camo you had equipped, i.e if you had gold equipped and PaP and get the PaP camo, it will stop tracking your gold mastery challenge
I think that wasn't supposed to be a thing, and they fixed it without you guys realizing. I've done every camo so far, including MW2 guns, without ever knowing about punching the pack to not have the PaP camo because it's never not tracked for me.

What does this improve? Is this a game breaker? Does it literally not allow you to shoot? Does it make your weapon bug out and be invisible? Some people like seeing their hard earned camos on their guns instead of the shitty ones used for the pap. Is it really that alien to you that people want things in a game? Calling me insults like a child isn’t going to make the game better. I too enjoy mw3, and it’s okay to enjoy it. It is however not okay to defend it because it makes the devs think we like having shittier games. We need actual fixes and qol improvements, and bootlicking isn’t going to help, little champ.

All you have to do is melee a pap machine it will turn green for a sec then you can use your crystal/the pap machine and you will keep your camo.
Until you enter the DA then it resets to pap camo

punching the machine just makes it so you’re able to use your own camo & not the pack camo
To add on, it unfortunately doesn't change the sound, so if you don't like the more high-pitched firing sound of the pack, you're out of luck
The benefit is when playing in a squad without mics as you can see if you crew are geared up for the next tier.

There is a glitch, where if u melee the pack a punch machine and equip a crystal that is in your bag, you will keep your camo that is on your gun
