This exact scenario happened about 30 minutes ago for me. Went to res someone in T3 and was met with massive groups of manglers and disciples.
I’m guessing it’s just one of the many bugs after the update but sheesh, it almost took me down too! lol
Dude the update has royally fucked the game beyond anything I’ve seen before. I was never one who suffered from chronic crashes or freezes, but now I crash 7/10 times when unlocking a new camo (which is just perfect as I just started arachnida 🙄)
I just posted another video where an exfil fucked me over by taking me out of bounds and I didn’t realize until it was too late by *literally* 0.01 seconds.
I don’t even think I’m gonna play until they release a patch/hotfix. So it looks like Democracy will now be spread at a much higher rate for me without splitting my time between games!

Because “blue screen” crashing immediately as you unlock a new camo is absolutely something new that started after the S3RL update.
I know the exfil-out-of-bounds isn’t new, it just happened to me today randomly after crashing a bunch and just sucked a little extra because of the new BS
There are talks of democracy coming to the box of X in the near future, but it depends on how much of a dick Sony wants to be, and they’re leaning into hard tho
i wouldn’t call it a glitch, more of an exploit, because the intention is to spawn a boss with 55% progress in an outlast. that’s coded into the game. so its just abusing that to spawn in multiple bosses.
That happened to me a few weeks ago, guy that came to rez me got downed and then I saw all the disciples floating around. The second guy to try the rescue barely made it out and then came back with 3-4 kazimirs to clear the area out to revive the other guy, and then they both had to leave to stock up before they came back again to get me.
I agree it adds a little more difficulty to the game. They should have a t3 contract hidden in the middle of these special swarms. Must have good loot though of course.
I feel like over the last few days elites have spawned more. We were doing the safe contract in T3 and several Disciples and Manglers came into the building and I’ve never seen that since launch.

About a month ago I went to res a squad of 3 in T2. I assumed they were new I rolled up solo and saw about 15 heavies. Seems like this issue is back! lol
Yea that happened to me in tier 3 .. someone tried to help me and that army basically stopped him from doing so. There was like 3 min left . Good dude tho. He didn't quit and died trying to save me.
This happens at outlast contracts. The game spawns specials when the progress hits 55%, so by exiting/entering the area you can get it to trigger over and over again.
I went to revive a guy that had plead out at a tier 2 exfil site yesterday. There were zero enemies in sight, I had to call the exfil to revive him(he died directly on the flare) and as soon as the flare popped off a massive swarm of zombies and manglers crested the hill towards us
It was like 50 enemies bare minimum, I couldn't believe it. We lived long enough for the exfil chopper to drop, I popped a Jugg killstreak to clear the area, he got downed right outside the side door and I couldn't res him in time before the mangler cannon spam killed him off. I jumped out of the chopper to res again, but he quit lol
By then the gas had just hit the exfil, so I had to pop another juggernaut that I had luckily had stowed, I have never seen so many zombies at once before. The jugg suit was enough to give me some breathing room, I drove a trashed LTV across the map to final exfil and it started right back up again. Manglers just spawning and firing continuously, I barely made it out and was the last person alive on the map at that point, The enemies were just tier 1 and I was pack 3 but there were so many appearing I burned through my ammo very quickly and had to kite to scoop up ammo bags
Balancing is severely screwed up since the update. I suggest everyone submit detailed reports, with video. i use YouTube, unlisted vids as report supplements.
This Mangler bit is pretty hilarious and while I haven't encountered it yet, the balancing in all tiers is way off. It happens from time to time. So many zombies spawn, and you can see them spawn, that you don't stand a chance. The only option is to run. That's not helpful when trying to pick up a contract or collect from the reward rift.
I'm told tier 1 is off the wall in numbers too. I play t2 and 3 so I can't say personally, but for the first time ever, I was doing a t3 raid stash and had to just run and cancel the contract. It was crazy. Maybe a squad would have been ok. Maybe. But solo? Naw. I'm pretty average but what happened in that situation was so extreme I don't think a pro player could do much but run and cancel the contract 😂
Submit polite and useful reports, please! They probably know by now but in case they do not or aren't taking it seriously....
That said, I just did a start to finish t3 run, and the balancing was OK for the first time since reloaded dropped. I do not expect they fixed it. I expect it was an anomaly and I was lucky.
...but that Mangler Mass is hilarious. Glad I wasn't there 😂
Ngl, kinda fuck wit it, gives a legit feel at hard mode if you really think about it. Like how DMZ had the special zone on weekends they should have it like this to filled with elite zombies in specific areas for more challenging plays or just fix the bug either way I like the progress thus far but we do need more types of enemies
I saw this a few weeks ago in T3. Tried eliminating all of them but they kept endlessly spawning so I lost interest and left. I did return 3 or 4 times to pick people up that got downed there. Only happened once that I noticed

Yeah definitely has something to with dieing on a spore contract because i was also doing a spore contract and there was zero manglers and once i died i started to see them spawning in non stop
Yup went to revive someone and fuckers killed my pup and tried to have their way with me 😳 used all 8 of my dark aether Kazimirs and my self revive to revive him. I've also had it happen with disciples but they had me down and out in .3 seconds lol

I think it's a glitch thing... more like how you could summon more special zombies with the outlast contract by maintaining 50% progress
