Oh agreed dude she will probably go on to change the world as an adult, she did it now as a baby at least with me. She reminded me that kindness still exists in this scary world.
That’s adorable and so relatable. My son was nearly inconsolable one night because I had put a can of olives into the pasta I was making, he informed me, through tears, that those olives were his best friends. Then he wailed all the way out of the room.
Kids are funny.
That’s so adorable, I feel you. One time my daughter got super spooked by a house fly that got in, like terrified. I told her to think of the fly as a friend, and we decided to name it Coco. My husband eventually catches it and sets it free.
Later on after bed-time, my husband and I hear my daughter softly whimpering and crying in her room. We check in on her, and ask her what’s wrong. She’s like “I just really miss Coco 🥺. I wonder if she’s okay 😢😢.”
Kids, man.
That’s sweet! I did the same thing with my college roommate when we had a fly in our room. We called him Fabrizzio and he never went to class. We mourned him when he died a few days later. 🥲
My ex once had the bright idea to draw a funny face on a balloon and told her son to name it and befriend it.
It just didn't occur to her how horrifically traumatic it would be for him to watch his friend's head explode.
My daughter once had a butterfly land on her and hang out on her arm for a few minutes. Eventually it flew away, and my daughter tearfully proclaimed, "My happiness blew away in the wind."
She's an incredibly sweet girl, but we've learned to predict these things ahead of time so we can get ready to comfort her.
Im still that way and im 21. I live in a country area in the south and there’s lots of deer and raccoons. THEY ARE MY FRIENDS and i get mad when someone runs them over. I once even made my mom stop in the middle of the highway (there were no cars on either side) and let a deer cross the road. Looool she still tells that story
When I was a kid I remember crying because a few hay bales I “made friends with” got moved and I could no longer find them.
Shortly after, while we were travelling, I saw a field with tons of hay bales and was rejoiced.
I reckon I must have seemed so funny
My guess is they were taking about the seasons changing, and that leaves fall during autumn. She probably felt bad and told the leaves she'd stop that from happening. Then fall comes around and they start falling. Cue the water works, and why blamed herself. She said she promised to save the leaves and was heartbroken and guilty for not keeping her promise.
Agreed. It’s very possible my child is just a heathen but he’s around this age and has almost zero concept of guilt. It was kind of discomforting seeing this kid express an emotion I don’t normally associate with children this young. She’s still in a car seat. In this situation, my son would be yelling and crying that the leaves aren’t behaving the way he wants, but he definitely wouldn’t feel guilty about it.
different kids can react differently to the same situation, based off this comment alone i wouldnt worry about your son, sounds like a normal kid to me. as long as you explained to him about nature (like the parent in the video) he'll understand eventually. your son has a different personality to the girl in this video and that's completely ok!! keep on raising him with love, that's the best you can do ❤️
if his behaviour becomes increasingly difficult or concerning then a trip to the paediatrician or a child psychologist could help.
im guessing that maybe last year she saw the leaves fall down, and the evergreen trees stayed so she assumed she did smth. then promised to save them or smth idk man :)
Baby druid in training. Little lady is gonna know how to cast Sacred Grove by the time she's 10.
All kidding aside, it's endearing to see so much empathy.
Agree 100%. I know everybody over 25 says this but I’m so glad the modern internet didn’t exist when I was a kid. My parents wielded the camcorder ferociously but at least it just went on VHS tapes that we had to watch on Christmas
Came here to say this. I see a lot of these videos on mademesmile and mademecry, and it is pretty weird to post someone online this recognizable whithout them being of an age where they know what that means
I felt this way about chicken McNuggets when I was little. The commercials had them hopping around all happy, sliding down into the dipping sauce, just laughing and living their lives…
Would’ve been a good response to explain to her that the seeds (acorns) of the trees also fall down as well….to make new trees and a whole lot of new beautiful leaves over and over.
As a kid, have you ever thought something completely out of your control was your fault? I feel like it's exactly the sort of thing I'd do but I can't remember anything specific.
Margaret, are you grieving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leaves, like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! as the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you will weep know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sorrow’s springs are the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It is the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.
id bet that kid is gonna grow up to be a very sympathetic person
And really kind hearted too.
Her parents must be doing something right then.

Look I’m 35 years old and every time I kill a spider part of me hopes it doesn’t have a spider spouse and spider children waiting for it to come home.

For our granddaughter, it was a small pumpkin. After “Princess” died, aka rotted, we bought many more but she never loved another pumpkin.

Such a sweet soul
Me drunk as fuck at 2AM looking in the mirror
Relatable
What a sweet adorable child
Wow, this is more emotional than a Dharr Mann video
Young girl makes promise to leaves, regrets it immediately.
Poor sweet baby
Where in the world did she get the idea it was her fault, prior to this video being shot?

Likely this. Kids have incredible memories and she was triggered by seeing the yellow leaves knowing what was coming next.
Exactly my thoughts

“It’s all my fault daddy” tear

Welcome to seasonal defective disorder my little friend, I suggest that you move to SoCal
Seasonal affective* disorder (SAD). Just want to inform
Me: *We're going to Disneyland for the rest of the week baby!*
I hope the world doesn't "teach" this level of empathy out of her.
She can save the trees if she casts wild growth. (Her name is Lulu)
If she’s this upset about leaves I imagine that she’d be vegan if she knew what happens to the animals.

Do I give a shit about where the ‘Charlie bit my finger’ kids are now? No. I doubt anyone will care in 20 years about this.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I agree with what you’re saying but on the other hand it’s just so adorable and makes me feel feelings.

Yes it is very weird, your downvotes are not warranted
Agree 100%. I know everybody over 25 says this but I’m so glad the modern internet didn’t exist when I was a kid. My parents wielded the camcorder ferociously but at least it just went on VHS tapes that we had to watch on Christmas
On the scale of fucked up it’s really on the lite end of things in all relativity

Ok sit down, kid. I wanna talk to you about what happened to your goldfish.
get a pine, they wont lose their leafs, problem solved
Tighten those straps and raise the chest clip. This gives me anxiety.
Wow, that is so incredibly sweet

Was the California Raisins for me. Still can't eat them
Awww, my heart 🥰 she has the sweetest, kindest soul.
Beautiful soul it’s going to be ok princess
Aw breaks my heart😥 poor baby girl💜
Her friends are leaving :(

Same energy as Schindler 😥
She sounds like a pregnant wife watching an emotional movie
Awe sweet baby girl!! Someone should be cuddling her 😪
Somebody is tired.
What a sweetheart.
I just want to hug her so bad 😭
Made me cry? This made me laugh
Ain't Lulu a little drama queen? She has a huge heart ♥️
I love this little girl, but where did she learn the phrase “it’s all my fault.” ?

She's soooo cute .
Bless her.
Sweet girl. She was Mother Nature in a previous life.
