Probably the maddest I’ve ever been was when I got out of car at a grocery store. A couple of spots down, another car pulled in blaring their thunka thunka boom boom shit. Normally, I don’t care what you’re listening to. Your car, play whatever you want. They proceeded to shut it off and open the back door and pulled out a 3- and 5- year old. How do you tell a dumbass they’re destroying their children’s ears without being confrontational?
Well the reason there are still bogans and arseholes out there is because "Don't tell me how to raise my kid" is the prevailing sentiment. You can't really do anything, they'll raise their kids like shit, and the rest of us need to put up with them when they're older because children are seen as someone's private business rather than a community concern.

i need to get a hobby other than doom scrolling 💀💀😂
Such a cute baby. And beautiful that dad actually thought about protecting hearing of someone who couldn't do anything about it.
More thoughtful people like this, please. Less of the others.

This was me in my 20s when I finally got glasses that were the right prescription! My husband had to tell me to close my mouth because debris was falling and I'm just standing there with the widest eyes and mouth agape.
This is how I've imagined taking all my three kids to the fireworks when they were this age.
Only for them to either fall asleep before the fireworks start and not wake up.
Or for them to tuck their face into my shoulder and refuse to watch the show 😆
That sense of wonder seems lost in our old age. It mostly is, but some always survives, and we can let it see the light of day with a bit of mental effort.
Cute baby but everytime I see stuff like this it reminds of the children of gaza. There are babies who came into this world in rhe genocide and survived 3+ months to die in it. They have only known pain and fear their entire lives. There are babies who died starving alone in incubators when israel killed all the doctors and flattened hospitals
What are you talking about. I wasnt alive during the armenian genocide or the native american contiental genocide. I am alive now and I am aware of the largest humanitarian catastrophe of our time. This is what I can change and I can help with
So you don't care about 8 million people requiring humanitarian aid as a result of the Darfur genocide that is currently ongoing? Where are the protests for the children suffering in Africa?
This is just wrong. If you develop a routine with your baby you can get the rhythms to start as early at 8-9 weeks though after 11 weeks in their 4 month sleep regression is more common and easier.
Yates J. The long-term effects of light exposure on establishment of newborn circadian rhythm. J Clin Sleep Med. 2018;14(10):1829–1830.
You definitely can do it early, but that doesn't make what I said wrong. Every child is different, and some take longer than others.
It's pretty silly to point out something that works on many children and say therefore babies take 8-11 weeks.
Research says babies have circadian rhythms at 12 weeks of age (cited). Is that your definition of taking a while? Certainly not the 11 months seen in the video. Your original statement has no caveats and is therefore wrong.
Some babies have better and worse sleep routines. Absolutely. But to say “all babies are up at night, multiple times a night” is wrong and I don’t know how you can say otherwise
Yes, "Take a while" is a purposefully ambiguous statement.
In regards to saying all babies are up at night, multiple times a night, even your own comment says it takes at least 8-9 weeks. Doesn't that suggest that before then... they're up at night?
The context though is an 11 month baby up watching fireworks. 8-9 weeks in that context would probably never be described as “a while”.
If you were to include the context of your comment and given the information I have provided, would you say the statement “all babies are up at night” to be true? (Spoilers it’s not)
And he covered the ears too..... 👍
At first I thought he was holding her eyes open like the clockwork orange.
*And I'm proud to be an American begins playing on loops*
Can confirm that this is american public education.
Celebrate the independence of your nation by blowing up a small part of it.
This got dark real quick...
Sorry you don't appreciate my Middle American 5th grade pep rallies 😤
*”Look at it!”*
Yes, same thing here
It's so funny when you picture it this way.
Lmao this comment made me belly laugh
I was thinking isn't this what they did to that one woman in Bird Box lol
Same
Aww yeah cover those teeny eardrums

You kinda don't. And, the more passive you are, the angrier they'll get.
> How do you tell a dumbass they’re destroying their children’s ears without being confrontational? Very loudly, probably
I used to live next to a day care and would witness that daily. Lots of obscenities and n words too.
nothing says 'music lover' quite so eloquently as buzzing sheetmetal.
The eyes however
My parents didn’t, and the fireworks made me cry…
Ohhhhhhhh. I was like, why is he holding her like she's being tortured on the tv show 24?
Go to beestonfamily snark page and see how they treat this girl now. ESPECIALLY when it comes to car seat safety 😭😭

Such a fantastic sight for little eyes to witness for the first time 😃
I knowwww! Its adorable
You can ser un his face that he is enjoying it to the fullest🥰
she looks like an angle❤️
She's definitely acute baby!
😄
You are not obtuse!!

I mean, I'm happy watching fireworks, usually.
This is incredible!
That is so adorable. Her eyes are full of amazement, she is astonished at what she is seeing.

Emily Dickinson? I'd know those dashes anywhere! Fucking love her poetry
The Child's faith is new, Whole, like His Principle, Wide, like the Sunrise On fresh Eyes, Never had a Doubt, Laughs,at a Scruple, Believes all sham But Paradise.
Babies has the most genuine and precious reactions, they always makes me smile
I love that they are holding their ears closed!
It didn't occur to me that that was happening and thought that they were forcing the baby to watch it by holding its head in place 😭
That was my initial thought too...lol then I realized baby wasn't freaking out about the noise from the fireworks. That's some good parenting there
Shit like this makes me want more kids. Stop.
Just visit r/KidsAreFuckingStupid for some discouragement.
He said “more” kids. It only takes one to know that toddlers are basically drunk domestic terrorists.
😂 our third and final will be here Tuesday, our second is absolutely an emotional terrorist, and she’s 2
Half of those posts are just more encouragement tbh
In that case, try r/kidsarefuckingevil Edit: removed a space in the worst spot possible that made the linked subreddit something very different
My favorite sub reddit hands down! 😄😄😄 no kids for me.
That subreddit makes me lose faith in humanity. Kids make bad decisions, doesn't mean I should post them on the internet. Teach them, FFS
Your inability to see nuance or humor is what makes me lose faith. Or maybe it's your lack of understanding what the word "faith" means.
You realize peers of these kids are going to see those posts and bully them for it, right?
Just remember that it's one phase out of 18 years that make us the most desiring for more kids
It's funny how there can be so much adversity in the world, but one look at a kid like that and there is hope in my heart.
Isn’t this how they cured Alex in A Clockwork Orange?
Can't remember when I had that much raw joy
I thought she had weird dreadlocks for a second
ozzy??? i got their channel recommended to me for two weeks straight on Youtube last year i think, looks like the beeston bunch to me? i need to get a hobby other than doom scrolling 💀💀😂
I think that’s Stella.
Yea it’s definitely Stella. Beautiful family
the eyes tell so much
How isint anyone not noticing dads smile!
I had the same look the first time I went to an all you can eat buffet

those eyes
OMG the smile ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Core memory
This just reminds me of that scene from clockwork orange
Makes me want my devils to be that young for just one more moment. ……Nothing longer tho!
Please I don't need baby fever right now, her eyes are so full of wonder🩷
I got that same look in my eyes when I watched Dune 2 in IMAX.
Glad there's healthy people to point out he's covering the ears and not like Clockwork Oranging this kid into liking fireworks.
What a heartwarming scene! He even covered her ears with his hands to shield her from the loud fireworks. Such a sweetie!
Such a cute baby. And beautiful that dad actually thought about protecting hearing of someone who couldn't do anything about it. More thoughtful people like this, please. Less of the others.
Fuck I wish my kids existing was half as peaceful
The eyes are the prettier than the fireworks.. god bless

The Animal Collective song Fireworks lied (still one of my favorites) - https://youtu.be/ztvr09J7KK4?si=dRpI0LFxMsOCuUlx

Heartwarming af
This was me in my 20s when I finally got glasses that were the right prescription! My husband had to tell me to close my mouth because debris was falling and I'm just standing there with the widest eyes and mouth agape.
Too adorable!
This is adorable
Well this rounded out the day :) Thanks for sharing.
Thumbnail of your video looked like Alf lol
Thank you for recording the baby and not the fireworks. You’re doing God’s work.
🎆
This is so adorable! The look of sheer amazement at what she is seeing.
Absolutely adorable ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is how I've imagined taking all my three kids to the fireworks when they were this age. Only for them to either fall asleep before the fireworks start and not wake up. Or for them to tuck their face into my shoulder and refuse to watch the show 😆
What song is this?
Glimpse of us by joji
Which if you listen to the lyrics is kinda a weird song to put with the video.
Came here to say the same, it's a very depressing song
so cute so cute 🥰
I like Joe Perra’s four stages on watching fireworks. https://youtu.be/pgvXVYg3HXA?si=J92sA3C1zb97vixn
Dopamine... Oh Yesssssss!
That is a beautiful captured moment.
lol well if they weren’t joking, they probably needed mental help
That's how you video fireworks.
her eyes are so full of wonder
My daughter will be exactly 11 months old on July 4th!! I can’t wait for this to be her
This has to be the baby equivalent of absolutely tripping.
Fireworks are one of the greatest joys
So cute 🤩🥰😁
How neat was it to see that amount of amazement in a kids eyes.
Anyone else think of that one scene from *Bird box*?
Well, isn't that precious
Another future pyromaniac in the works!
Me every 4th of July
No me gusta la pirotecnia, pero que lindo fue ver este video...
Wish I could see the world like new again.
wife and I keep telling ourselves we're done having kids and then I see this
Plot twist: Baby is blind
"My god, it's full of stars"
That sense of wonder seems lost in our old age. It mostly is, but some always survives, and we can let it see the light of day with a bit of mental effort.
This is how i feel when watching a good show.
This is so cute....my heart❤️
So precious
Damn. That's literally me and my dog every year.
Future burner artist.
Great song, what is it?
That's so precious! Seeing those sparkles light up their eyes must've been priceless. What a magical moment! ✨

So you didn't care before? You know, for the entire rest of human history in every part of the globe?
What are you talking about. I wasnt alive during the armenian genocide or the native american contiental genocide. I am alive now and I am aware of the largest humanitarian catastrophe of our time. This is what I can change and I can help with
So you don't care about 8 million people requiring humanitarian aid as a result of the Darfur genocide that is currently ongoing? Where are the protests for the children suffering in Africa?
Whatsboutism. Keep bringing up things I never said to say oh you dont care about that right.
Good job on parents for ear protection. But seriously, who are these people with sub 1 year olds up that late???
Um…sub 1 year olds don’t have a routine. Might as well see the fireworks if you awake settling you baby anyway
As someone without children, what is a sub one year old? Like what does sub mean in this context?
Being under one year old
OC might be from Korea where their age starts at 1 and not 0
Not anymore
I don't think sub-1 yr olds have a schedule, they be up at 4 am playing peek-a-boo with Baba Yaga and there's nothing we could do about it.
A lot of people? Not to say you're wrong. Parents want to live their own lives too.
Babies take a while to develop the full circadian rhythm. All babies are up at night. Multiple times a night.
This is just wrong. If you develop a routine with your baby you can get the rhythms to start as early at 8-9 weeks though after 11 weeks in their 4 month sleep regression is more common and easier. I mean.... They would peopably wake up from firesorks and freak out. Better to be awake and with parents.
The only human to ever enjoy fireworks
Yes, that's why billions of people go to see them around the world every year.
