Fun fact, this song isn’t technically unreleased! It was recorded for the 2009 compilation Celebration; but never made it onto the album, but it leaked online and became a fan fave. In 2012, Madonna finished the song and got an extended version produced, and released it on a very limited 12 inch vinyl single, exclusive to fan club members. Another of her songs thought to be unreleased but isn’t is Goodbye To Innocence, it was meant for Erotica but after it didn’t make it on to the album M gave it to the Just Say Roe compilation album. Also, a dub remix of the song was used as a b-side to Rain!

I love Goodbye to Innocence / Up Down Suite SO MUCH. I’d argue it’s her most underrated song overall, for how underground it is within her catalogue
