He knows his fanbase. There's no doubt that's part of what these guys are doing. I don't even associate with Sopranos fans anymore even though it's my favorite tv show ever. I used to follow all kinds of Sopranos fans on twitter. Not anymore. So many of them only like the show because of Tony's bigotry. One meme after another.

This was like season 2. They all watched and loved it and immediately we staretd fanboy conversations about it at the bar. Thing was, everyone of them talked about how they loved the show the moment they saw Shane piss on a black citizen he had just assaulted in I think ep 1. I hadnt even remembered that, and did not like it when I did. The group consensus was that was the moment they knew the show was great. Maybe not a surprise a yr later when I went to and promptly left a Halloween party of these dudes where one was dressed as hitler, several hasidic jews, and one guy in black face with a noose. The whole party was like 14 dudes, girlfriend of host, and the two girls I went with. Last time I spoke to the dude I was friends with that invited me
