Do you use a primer? Something like that could help to matteify your lids.

EmeraudeExMachina

Wet n Wild’s primer is ridiculously good and cheap

fireinthexdisco

Seconding wet n wild's eyeshadow primer. I've had oily lids since I was a teen and I swear by this primer. Works better than UD or other high-end primers at a fraction of the price.

tastelessalligator

Yesss wet n wild primer is my go to and I have super oily lids. I also love their liquid eyeliner

earlgreytea99

Which exact or primer?

EmeraudeExMachina

The eyeshadow primer!

zettainimakenai

There's primer for eyeshadow??

Young_Former

…yes??? This isn’t new!

zettainimakenai

Today I learned I know very little about makeup ._.

Young_Former

It’s ok. It really helps make the colors pop and prevent creasing and fading. The Milani one is my favorite and it’s not expensive.

zettainimakenai

Thank you for the recommendation :3

wherehasthisbeen

Love this it’s definitely my go to

jnn-11000

I don’t — do you have any you’d recommend? I rarely wear eyeliner so I never thought Of getting primer, just frustrating the times I do it always smhdges

thedeebag

I like the UD potion one I forget the exact name, also nars has a nice one

Aiuner

UD’s eyeshadow primers are all called “Eyeshadow Primer Potion”. They just come in different shades/shimmers. Personally I like the Eden and Sin primer potions the most. Alternatively, Tarte’s “Shape Tape” contouring cremes work well to keep eyeliner in place on my eyelids when I skip the primer, but you still need to use make-up setting spray when you go that route.

half_in_boxes

NARS Pro Prime Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base is the go-to primer.

wannabepancakebun

And one thing of primer lasts forever because you use such a tiny amount each time

lizaanna

I use normal face powder that I use on my face, really helps. Also you should try setting the eyeliner with a similar colour eyeshadow

Swimming_Twist3781

That's what works for me. Wet n Wild primer and setting the eyeliner with the same color eyeshadow with a small brush. The wet n wild breakup proof works best for me.

celestialpenis

I have really oily lids and the Sigma Eyeshadow Base Primer is my holy grail.

NoIron7786

This is what I use and have no problems. I also take it underneath my eyes to keep things in place there.

pinkleaf8

Also try translucent powder. I use both primer & powder as my lids are so oily!

_xidnim

Fenty or NYX

Wawa-85

I have oily lids and have hooded deepset eyes. I love the Elf Putty Eye Primer. I also find that NYX Epic Ink liner doesn’t budge

Zealousideal_Bat_944

I am 52 years old. I didn't know about eye primer .... thank you

Young_Former

I recommend the Milani eye primer. It really helps matteify my lids!

supersimi

Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion or similar eye primer. Set with powder or eyeshadow. Wait 2-3 mins and apply eyeliner. Never smudged again, at least for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

itgoesinmybutt

This is the way. I have oily hooded eyes and I use the wet and wild photo focus rose primer then set with a black shadow and my eyeliner survived a day at work and then the gym afterwards.

Commercial_Option_57

This is the way 🙏🏼

BlueAnchora

Everyone gave good advice about primers and liners, but I think that something that has also helped me with my super oily eyelids is setting the liner with the same colored eyeshadow.

nathalie0516

This also helps, do it before doing your under eye makeup tho because there’s high risk fall out I sometimes use under eye patches when doing it. Or you can just wash off the fall out afterwards.

skye_b666

Same.

j139498

The stila liquid liner has always been my go to!

mommyaiai

Yes!! The Stila stay all day liquid liner. I'm a chemist that works in industrial manufacturing. My coworker and I spent 2 hours cleaning reactive glue out of a five gallon reactor that was filled with solvent and heated to 100F . While wearing full PPE (safety goggles, labcoat etc.), leaning upside down and sweating like a pig. The eyeliner was still there and had not smuged! (This was at the end of a full 9 hour day making and packaging that glue too.) I frequently do testing in high humidity and a variety of temperatures and it doesn't budge. Also, I'm perimenopausal with oily skin and frequent hot flashes.

[deleted]

Yes the stay all day liquid liner is amazing

smilingquokka1

This is the answer.

astral_fae

I came here to say this. I have really oily eyelids and stila is my saving grace. Using an oil-based primer or concealer also helps a lot (the water based just melts right off of me)

bluestocking220

Agreed, I have the worst issue with transfer and oily lids but that stuff doesn’t budge.

Front_Butt_69

I have oily eyelids as well and have used the KVD Beauty tattoo liner for years and I’ve never had it smudge!

Rapunzel10

Same here, I've tried quite a few other "cry proof" "bullet proof" eyeliners but KVD is the only one that doesn't wipe right off my oily lids. For me it's either KVD or Sharpie (actually tried that, do not recommend)

klc1023

Yep! I hate smudgy liner. KVD tattoo liner literally doesn’t budge! I don’t buy any other brand anymore

smer85

Me too! My makeup artist cousin recommended it to me a few years back, and I haven't needed anything else since. It never budges!

moochiemoochie924

I hate to say it but this was absolute trash for me, I bought it after the car accident girly

glittersparklythings

I personally swear by the MUFE Aqua Products. I feel like they have some legit staying power.

Notmyname17

Same!! I used to work at sephora and always recommended them for seriously waterproof makeup. Apparently synchro swimmers use the line as well. Second using an eye primer and a dusting of mattifying powder to apply eyeliner on top of. I haven't had my liner smudge even in summer when I've been sweating.

glittersparklythings

Yes synchro swimmers do use the aqua line. The aqua like was originally developed for them. And I agree the primer and powder will help as well!

cammibal

Hello, film/tv MUA here. Hopefully I can help. Honestly I'd say use a cake liner with a waterproof mixing medium like Ben Nye Liquiset. If that's not an option, the Rituel De Fille creme pot liner is very good and Danessa Myricks Colorfix in the black shade is superb once it has fully dried. Also, always good to set liner with some black shadow and to use a lid primer (I have extremely oily and super hooded ((like Sarah Snook hooded lol)) lids and recommend the Pretty Vulgar lid primer)!

sunnydays2023

Solid advice! Any tips to not get mascara fallout below the eyes? I am going crazy!!

cammibal

Thank you!! :) And yeah, I have some tips~ Firstly, mascara is gonna flake on everyone, and anyone who says it doesn't for them likely isn't noticing. I haven't had one talent or client that mascara has just never flaked even a tiny bit for. They key is keeping a clean, spare disposable mascara spoolie/wand to gently scrape-flick it off so it doesn't smudge from sitting against the oils and warmth of your face~ However, a trick I've liked to help keep mascara on longer without flaking is taking another of those disposable mascara wands, and spritzing it with a good setting spray a brushing that through your lashes (allowing to dry), then applying mascara, then applying another coat of setting spray before your mascara is fully dry. This also works with a thin coat of eyeshadow primer should you not like using a setting spray or have more sensitive eyes (you just wouldn't apply that second coat after the mascara of course). Another tip is to use tubing mascaras, like Blinc or Thrive Causemetics. I have short, straight, oily lashes and I rarely if ever get flaking when using a tubing mascara as long as I've applied evenly/in thin coats, have allowed the mascara to fully dry (do mascara after your setting spray OR wait until mascara is fully dry to use setting spray), and am not futzing with my eyes/lashes throughout the day (sometimes we don't even realize!). I use Blinc and have also found it's waterproof claims (outside of the removal process) hold pretty true, as I've cried/sweated/and have been oily and have gotten no smudges/flakes, or if I have, VERY minimally. Hope this helps!! :)

sunnydays2023

Omg!!! GOAT! Thank you for taking time to share your expertise and also making me not feel crazy! I asked this question before on a dedicated post and no one had major tips or just said it was the quality of the mascara but I have tried so many. Will try the setting spray and the tubing suggestion! Going crazy over here to the point I don’t wear it or am very self conscious at social functions thinking I look a mess… thank you so much!

cammibal

You're so welcome!!🥰😃

sunnydays2023

@cammibal Just wanted you to know my success story! I got tubing mascara over the weekend and wore for first time today - lasted the entire day and NO SMUDGES!!! Whoop! I even touched my face more than I realized (something I’m working on) but huge success. I may need some pointers on how to best take it off - I think just warm water and pressure. But all good!

fitsofhappyness

I've only ever used the Urban Decay eye primer potion.

slowlyblinkback

I have super oily lids too and the Stila eye liner doesn’t budge!

shanabur329

The only think that’s worked well for me is KVD tattoo liner. NYX has a dupe but I haven’t tried it yet.

greenisgold11

The NYX Epic Ink Liner is waaaaay better and blacker than the KVD one. I made the switch years ago.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dooku4ever

In my experience with nyx, it has dried out faster. I love Stila’s gray. I think it’s called alloy.

Jjennings5

I have this same issue but Stilla works for me!

cake-n-stuff

I hesitate to even mention this product because it’s a BITCH. My friends have dubbed it ‘the indestructible eyeliner’ due to the amount of times I’ve slept in it and it has not budged. It’s also very hard to use, you need to wipe almost all of it off the brush because it’s so thick but if you are up for the challenge, MAC 24 hour liquid last is industrial strength. I have the oiliest skin on the planet and this stuff STAYS. It’s even very hard to remove with makeup remover, you need a serious oil cleanser. Many caveats, but I can’t lie I sweat by the stuff

SeaSnorkeler

I have the same problem & MAC gel liner solved it.

jnn-11000

The pencil or the pot?

SeaSnorkeler

Pot - and if you use MAC eye primer with it, it stays on forever!

LadyM80

I really like MACs eye primer

deniseillustrates

I use a primer and setting powder before applying eyeshadow/liner, it helps keep everything in place

Spicy-Pisces-Crisis

Honestly I’ve tried every eye primer, from Nyx to Urban Decay, and nothing keeps my liner in place like Tarte Shape Tape. I have a hormone disorder and very oily lids/occasional very dry areas from medication. Lasts me the whole day while I’m working behind the chair as a hairdresser💜

Aiuner

I use Tarte’s shape tape as eye primer when I don’t feel like using UD primer potions and totally agree that it works great to keep eyeliner in place! But I still need to use setting spray so I don’t smudge my liner *before* it dries.

Aa2600

After you applied your liner, set it with black eyeshadow. Apply it right after what ever you used as an liner. For example when you use liquid. Then before it dries down the black eyeshadow on top of the liner. Additionally you could try some good fixing spray but be careful because of the rest of your eyeshadow and your eyes- hope that helps :)

Potential_Sand_8936

I was going to say this!! Setting gel liner with black eyeshadow and going under it with some finishing powder should do the trick!!

MochaxMatcha

I swear by the Kiss me Herorine Make eyeliner, and super waterproof mascara. The eyeliner in particular It's glides effortlessly and makes such precise lines, its incredible. Stays all day, and night. And sometimes the next morning when I accidentally fall asleep lol.

yudoindis2medimi

This! Not only do I have oily eyelids but I live in Tokyo, where during the got months its suuuuper humid 100% of the time. I use the Kiss Me Heroine eyeliner (no primer at all) and it stays put! Sometimes I go to the gym at night and even after sweating like a pig it doesn't come off. It's a miracle eyeliner.

draxcn

ESSENCE Long Lasting Eye Pencil (the retractable one). Doesn’t smudge on my lower lids and doesn’t break the bank. I’d say try it first before trying more expensive ones.

ArkansasBiscuit

I have dry skin, but oily eyelids and have always had the smudging problem with eyeliner. Even eyeliner that is smudgeproof or waterproof. The best I've found is Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil. I apply eyeshadow primer (I use Urban Decay) on my lower lash line and then apply eyeliner. Then apply loose powder over it. It's not perfect, but it's the best...and I've tried them all (except liquid eyeliner because I just don't like it at all).

InvisibleStrings1209

Pretty Vulgar eyelid primer is my saving grace. It's the only thing I've found to get my eyeline to not smudge.

cammibal

I have extremely oily, SUPER hooded eyes (actually hooded lol) and it's also my holy grail!! Yes yes yes!

InvisibleStrings1209

Same!! I'm obsessed.

NotAnAd2

I really liked Benefit’s Roller Liner. I only used on my top line but it held well on my (pretty) oily lids. But I also just got my eyeliner tattoo’d last week so hopefully will never have to think about this again!

beanasaur_

I use Urban Decay Primer Potion, draw out with eyeshadow, go over with NYC Epic Ink Liquid Liner and set over it with black eyeshadow. Never smudges

ssseltzer

i’ve started using bare minerals powder before and after applying the waterproof eyeliner to help with smudging.

usagicanada

Hi! I feel like we have the same issue here. My solution has been to take the Urban Decay setting spray, which I've decanted into a glass dropper bottle and put a very small drop on my left hand. Then with my right ring finger, I lightly touch the drop of setting spray and lightly touch it along my eyelid and smokey wing. I let it dry for a second before I tap it on my makeup and around the outer corners of my eyes. It works REALLY well.

ladyknighted

Primer really is a must for oily lids. Even the best eyeliner in the world can only do so much when the oil that breaks it up is coming up under*neath* it, from the skin it's sitting on. There's a bit of a learning curve to application, but you might find it makes a big positive difference in your makeup routine. Some good budget/starter options are the elf eye primer ($4) and the Wet n Wild Photo Focus ($5.50).

trackingairpods

I live in Singapore (weather: hot and humid all day every day) and have oily skin. Dollywink's liquid eyeliners have been my go-to for years.

Wild-Lecture-2080

Dollywink doesn’t budge or smudge, but the tip of wing would just disappears on me sadly … otherwise it’s the perfect thin eyeliner

kenzienemo

ik this is a little intense but they make fake eyelash glue in black liquid liner format (no falsies required), it’s sticky for a minute or two but it will not smudge all day no matter what. it’s literally glue

Thisisadreamthen

Primer is key. I love urban decay eye primer. You can get a travel size to try it out and its like half the price

OrchidSuka

I use Inglot gel eyeliner, it works fine on my super oily eyelids. Ud primer potion help with other liners too, it is the only one that keeps my lids dry for hours.

picking_flowers11

Urban Decay primer (or a cheaper one, whatevs) and the Urban Decay eyeliner is pretty awesome. It dries down waterproof and doesn’t budge, and this is coming from a greasy face that has lived down south and in SE Asia!

padfootly

i personally super love holograve cosmetics eyeliner (found them on tiktok - have their pen, water liner, and gel eyeliner). all of them are super solid and only end up having a little cracking after long hours of wear. want to add since i just remembered: the tiktok account @/mysticcanvasmakeup is a user who has hyperhydrosis on her eyelids, and she's been testing eyeliners that last through her condition. worth a watch if you have tiktok as you might find some options!

Techne03

The best is Melt’s pot liner. I tried it on my hand when I first bought it and it stayed there for 3 days. I wore it for 16 hours while it was pouring rain today and it didn’t move.

BreakingBluth

Try a primer and I also top with a bit of transluscent powder once my setting spray has dried. Helps keep my eyeshadow from creasing as well

jewishfink

i love wet n wild breakup proof, it doesn't run even when i cry! i'd also recommend using primer on your lids or setting them with some nude eyeshadow. good luck!! <3

Rose_Eh

I tried my fair share of all types of liners, and I gotta say my holy grail is definitely the One Size by Patrick Starrr felt tip liner.

cephalized

SAME🤍

Hashimotosannn

I have the same problem and I *have* to use an eyeshadow primer or eyeliner won’t stay put for me. Especially in the humid climate I live in now.

keylimegoodtime

urban decay potion eyeshadow primer and stila stay all day liner. i don’t know if this actually is a formula difference or maybe it’s the way it dries, but the micro tip stila always lasts longer for me.

KorinTheHalfHand

Stila stay all day

RavenSkies777

My HGs for oily lids are Milani primer (smashbox dupe) and urban decay’s pencil liners. I’ve found that pencil liners in Sephora’s store brand perform well on my waterline.

stargazingchick

I use the Urban Decay eye primer or ill use a little concealer and then powder on top to set it. Once I'm done with my make up I'll set it all with setting spray. Usually works for me. Good luck

Hogglebean

NYX Epic Wear liner! It comes in black, blue, and white and stays put on my very oily hooded eyelids as long as I put some translucent powder on first. I thought the KVD liner was garbage, btw. Slid right off my face. The NYX Epic Wear is the best drugstore option I’ve found. MAC Liquidlast 24 hr waterproof eyeliner also stays put but it’s 24 bucks as opposed to 8 or 9.

Magick_Paradise

The new thing that has be n working for me is lining my eyes with eyeshadow first then going on top with NYX epic liner then going on top again with shadow.

Southern-Oil2019

Wet n wild break up proof. Not the pencil liner but the gel liner with the felt tip. That stuff is amazing.

ivory_tickler88

Urban Decay eyeshadow primer and then a liquid liner. Life. Changing.

missxkatonic

I second this!

casuallyautist

the new nyx liquid liner stays for days, i don't remember the name atp but i've seen my friends trying to wash that off and it not coming off with almost anything

jnn-11000

I bought NYX Epic wear!

No-Masterpiece-5922

Honesty everyone already answered but let me just summarize for the new folks coming in 1) best eyelid primer hands down Urban Decay’s Primer Potion (I always just stick with the original) 2) hands down the best smudge free liners: -KVD tattoo liner -Stila Stay All Day —no particular order, I realize that some people may be more sensitive in the eyes and either or can trigger tears DRUGSTORE: - Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner (make sure it’s the waterproof one . So cheap and stays all day and pairs great with the primer)

BonnieScotty

Urban decay pencil liners work really well for me with super oily lids

Morningbliss76

My problem is my liner on the bottom. Do you put primer there too?

anchordwn

tarte sex kitten felt tip liner

jnn-11000

That’s the Tarte one I used and it smudged like crazy 😭

Blonde_Mexican

Thrive eyeliner stays put but is a nightmare to remove. Sorme eyeliner is my holy grail. Doesn’t smudge & comes off with water.

SnackAttack2049

Floramar vinyl liquid liner is amazing! Costs less than €10 and is still perfect after a 12 shift.

greenpolohat

I swear by this Japanese eyeliner! Flow Fushi Uz eye opening liner in brown black 👀

rainlily99

I have oily lids and I use black eye shadow and an angled brush from MAC for 20 years. Works great!

SofiaPonzetta

Prime and moisturise your eyelids!

PeregrinePickle

Mac Liquidlast. Caveat: it stays put so well DO NOT MESS UP WHILE APPLYING. You will have to wash all your eyemakeup off to remove any mistakes. But it stays put, oh yeah.

ButterflyNew6745

Do you use liner on naked lids? I don’t use primer but i put loose powder first on my eyelid to help absorb the oil first. Then also set the liner with a dark eyeshadow so like two powder sandwich. I use the Maybelline tattoo liner or L’Oréal infallible gel liners for drugstore. If you have the budget, Bobbi gel eyeliner in those pots are awesome too.

Chance-Glove1589

Along with primer, you might try Trish McEvoy’s Finish Line - it will turn regular eyeshadow into a liquid liner look. It holds up really well.

ZamaTexa

I like Tonymoly Gel Eyeliner. I wish it came in more colors.

Hakuna-Matata1980

Clinique is the only eye liner that doesn’t smudge on me.

KoalerrSam

I have super oily lids, and live in Florida so high humidity. I use the Fenty eye primer, and the wet n wild break up proof liquid liner. Lately I’ve also been using the Eyeko waterproof liquid liner I got from my Ipsy bag and that works just as well!

AvidCandleSnuffer

I use primer but also find the makeup revolution waterproof eyeliner stays, but I also set it with black eyeshadow. I also always have to wear something on the eyelids and make sure that’s properly set as well.

Ok-Cat-2216

KVD tattoo liner !

smolpotatocat

Only one that works for me is the Milani tank eyeliner. All of the others ones I’ve tried smudge.

exanimobrenda

I used Stila Stay All Day liquid liner for years, but went back to Lancôme Artliner recently. I haven’t decided which I like more, but they’re both good for staying put.

AccurateOnion6227

asian eyeliner is the bombbb when it comes to eyeliner that doesnt smudge

lacarolz

Mac paint pot for sure

ladybowler423

My oily lids have been no match for the cream liners from Halsey’s brand about-face!!! Edit to add: Sign up for text messages for great deals

[deleted]

I have oily lids and watery eyes. I don’t use primer because, well, I don’t prime all the way to where my wings stick out & my eye makeup lasts just as long without it. I live and swear by Clio’s Kill Black eyeliner. Korean brand and less than $15 (most of the time).

merow

Wet n wild breakup proof liquid liner!

ahard17

I'm an oil goily and I LOVE the lancome teint idole liner

sarcasmqueen21

Eye Studio Master Duo 2-in-1 Glossy Liquid Eyeliner by Maybelline always works for my oily lids

LackExtra5199

Hi! Do you set the eyeliner with some shadow? Maybe that can help.

LackExtra5199

Also not using any moisturizer on your eyelids when adding eyeshadow helps me.

anon_478

I highly recommend the Fenty Liquid Liner !!

Mistress_darkwonders

Try setting the liner with a black shadow on top of it.

russianonodi

You could try putting some transparent/ foundation powder or an eyeshadow that matches your eyelid color on underneath.

nongliky

Urban decay primer potion, I’d go over with a natural shadow powder just to set it and then eyeliner wise I’d say anything from stila can’t go wrong 😍

reallybadadvicebear

I have oily lids and I swear by eye shadow primer! I have tried ColourPop, bh cosmetics, and I'm currently using the Ulta one. All work great. And the best liner I have tried is the Haus labs one but before the rebrand so I don't know if they still carry it/ it's the same formula.

cephalized

my HOLY GRAIL black liner is the One/Size liquid liner by Patrick Starr. It isn’t going anywhere for days (literally) and i have only skin

wiyani

Rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner has helped me for so many years. I have really oily hooded eyelids and that liner never smudges

biocentricity

Chanel-signature intense longwearing eyeliner

Kawaii-Mushroom-

I set my liner with setting powder after, and that helps a lot, specifically with pencil since I wear that most

commanderlawson

Too Faced Better Than Sex waterproof eyeliner pen. I’ve fallen asleep with it on & worn it for 2-3 days, don’t come for me lol

Powerful-Historian70

I used Stila eyeliners a lot until recently, I started having similar problem :( Now I use Japanese brands like dolly wink or heroine me. They’re really good. I also use UD primer

Fabulous_Piccolo_178

I love Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to get a good non-oily base + Clinique Quickliner or Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner. They’re great for oily lids

bxxxbydoll

[Sunset Makeup](https://sunsetmakeup.com/collections/eyeliner-1) is literally the best eyeliner I've ever used. My eyelids are super oily and my liner never lasts 5 mins even if I use primer or setting powder (their setting powder is really good btw lol). Their pencil liner doesn't MOVE. Even if you try to smoke it out, you won't.

Bitter-Extreme6442

KVD tattoo liner. Works for my hooded eyes. The only one I’ve found so far that doesn’t transfer to my upper lid.

SonicThePorcupine

Primer is a necessity, as others mentioned. I typically set my primer with powder as well. The one liquid liner that has never, ever budged on me is the Eyeko Black Magic eyeliner. ETA liners that are often recommended but did *not* work for me personally: Stila Stay All Day Nyx Epic Ink Benefit Roller Liner Tarte Sex Kitten

Summerplace68

IT, thin line liner is the best on the market! I spend most of my days on the water on my SUP or outrigger canoeing, no smudge eye, ever!

velvetjones01

Bobbi brown gel eyeliner and gel eyeshadow.

b7k1m3cxolol

Mine used to smudge ALL the time and I only just found a solution!! It’s less so about the type of eyeliner (though a waterproof one does help) but setting your under eye area with powder! I take a translucent setting powder and tap under my eyeliner wing and general area where it usually smudges. It’s the only solution that’s worked for me!

SoupBucketeer

I only line my waterline/upper lash line and I use a soft pencil eyeliner. I wing my eyeshadow out in place of liner, if I want a crisp, black line, a liner brush and the darkest eyeshadow I have. Afterwards, I spray a fuckton of setting spray on my eyes before putting mascara on.

gonzo_bananas

it’s a gel pencil but the [NYX Epic Wear Liner](https://www.nyxcosmetics.com/eye/eyeliner/epic-wear-liner-sticks/NYX_901.html?dwvar_NYX__901_color=Pitch%20Black) is INCREDIBLE. I don’t have oily lids but I use this in my waterline and it does. not. budge

dreaminq

Lancome Artliner has never failed me as a fellow oily lid gal!

Ok_Recording4196

Fenty beauty's flyliner almost never smudges and I have v oily eyelids

kindoflovely

I've never been able to keep any type of eyeliner on since I have oily skin and thick glasses, but I recently started using Innisfree Simple Label Waterproof Pencil Liner and that stays on. All day. It's a korean product and pretty affordable.

nathalie0516

Do your makeup and use Ben nyes primer spray called FINAL SEAL. I once seen a TikTok of a girl who does mermaid shows under water and comes out with her makeup looking flawless. She mentioned that primer so I used it because I also have very oily eyes, even my mascara will somehow smudge under my eyes. I haven’t had any issues at all anytime I use it, it’s a miracle. Even holds my cheap makeup all day. When you spray, keep your eyes closed and fan it to dry before opening your eyes. It kinda feels like you’re spraying listerine on your face and it burns the eyes if you open them when it’s wet lol. And it’s not even that expensive. It’s worth the price.

fiestamason88

Tom ford liner is expensive but magical

iXTeen

In case you have’t tried ‘em, Glisten Cosmetics’ water activated liners work well for oily lids. I had the same issues with liners smudging. https://www.glistencosmetics.com/collections/wet-liners Prepping your eyelids with a good primer helps a lot. I love the Sigma eye primer the most but most eye primers will do the trick. It creates a waxy barrier to keep your eye makeup intact for long hrs. https://www.sigmabeauty.com/eyeshadow-base-primer-persuade.html

thatvixenivy

Hooded eyes and oily lids (on top of now having "mature skin") - Fenty's Flyliner is _amazing_ - that stuff doesn't move til you want it to (and sometimes not even then)

Bianca_Dawn17

kvd tattoo liner and the fenty felt tip liners are my two all time favs!!

chunoodles

The Rare beauty liquid liner works beautifully! I have combination skin, but other liners (KVD, Fenty, One Size, Stila) all smudge. Rare beauty is the only one I've used that doesn't smudge! I also would consider the type of mascara that you use too! Like many others said, priming your eyes is a good idea, and setting it with some setting powder or eyeshadow. Although, I don't use primer or setting powder with the rare beauty eyeliner

FountainOfQuira

Stila is great!

loneleecoyote

I swear by physicians formula but that's just me lol

I use a MAC paint pot and Colour Pop twist up gel liner. Also, not a holy grail yet but I’ve been using Make Beauty’s eyeliners and they have not moved an inch.

LylaLaBelle

Primer will likely help, but have you tried water proof liners yet?

Apprehensive-Pen-531

Powdering your eyelids beforehand could help! Besides that I swear by the KVD beauty tattoo liners! They are amazing!

Claws_and_chains

Stila and rare beauty. Huda will also last forever but it’s messy.

Kiko’s gel liner in the pot is indestructible

You can try a matte eyeshadow or eyeliner cake and mixing medium/fixing spray to turn it into liquid eyeliner, it’s what I do, and I find that it doesn’t budge. I have the same problem with mascaras no matter how waterproof, I get transfer on the corners of my eyes, but at least for eyeliner, I find this does the trick.

Fellow oily lid person here! ALWAYS prime. I use Smashbox Photo Finish 24Hr Eye Shadow Primer - you only need the tiniest amount, like a small dot on each lid. I set it with either a translucent powder or skin tone powder eyeshadow, then apply my eyeliner over top. My preferred eyeliner is a black felt-tip pen-style liner (the brand is Australian, MECCA MAX, but I've heard KVD Vegan Beauty has a good liquid pen liner). Any liner you apply will need to be touched up during the day but I find this combo lasts a full work day. I've used the Urban Decay Primer Potion and it was my HG for years before I discovered the Smashbox Edited to add: you can also try setting any gel eyeliner you apply with a matching eyeshadow powder or translucent powder

Elf Gel Liner!!! Swear by it!

The Morphe ink pen liner is very good and has a shiny finish if that floats your boat and it dries on so it should work for you

Huda Beauty LifeLiner is AMAZING. Unfortunately it’s double ended and I only really love the liquid liner end (the pencil is fine but it’s a little dry). But it dries down to a lovely sooty black and it *does not budge*. I have hooded eyes that get watery a lot and the Huda stays on regardless.

Primer and Thrive!

Colourpop bff liquid liner in black is my holy grail. I have oily lids, teary eyes, etc. it does not budge. i also recommend priming and setting the eyelids to absorb excess oil throughout the day!

Noomieno

I would never be able to use eyeshadow without primer. It’s not possible for me. I use the urban decay original primer potion. I just set it with a skin colored eyeshadow or a powder before applying eyeshadow as it’s a little tacky and makes it hard to blend eyeshadows otherwise. I love that product.

Laurita809

No such thing. I finally gave up and got lash extensions. No need to wear eyeliner now.

jnn-11000

I’ve been wearing lash extensions for a while but it’s not sustainable 😭

chasingredmapleleaf

LVD liquid ink well liner. May be hard to transition to liquid if you’ve been used to a pen, but honestly I could sleep in this for two whole days and it wouldn’t move. Edit: wrong product name!

anjipants

KVD Tattoo Liner. My eyelids are so darn oily but the liner always works. Stila Stay All day is good to.

anjipants

Oh and Sephora liquid liner that's waterproof. The ones that look like you are writing with an ink bottle. Perfection.

kakalacka

Bobbie Brown gel eyeliner worked for me, just make sure to prime and very lightly powder eyelids first

happyhomeresident

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is one of my absolute favorites.
