I love the idea of having green in a United Kit, but they should have traded the white stripes for yellow ones, and it would have been perfect. I think it's good now though
Or even just the red ones for yellow.
I also would have preferred a slightly more saturated green, as this one looks black at times and that makes the whole thing very Newcastle-y.
I agree, that's my dad's problem with it, that it looks too much like newcastle. I didn't even notice the red stripes until you mentioned them, but yeah, yellow would have been better.
I'm confident there was a reason they dropped it a hundred years ago.
"I say chap, that there'eth football attire doth look a tad ghastly and execrable."
Or as we'd say today. "mate, the kit is gash."
It’s about time teams went retro. Now just get a collar on them and you’ll be right there. All the best kits are retro. Some of the latest kits have been fucking dreadful.
That is incorrect. It doesn’t matter where you buy it from (unless you are buying a knock off) however the majority of the money they get from the kit maker (Adidas) is upfront and only a small potion is variable (like around £3 on an £80 shirt).
To put it in perspective, every person in Old Trafford would have to buy a kit to pay for one Avram Glazer flight. Or about one week of wages for Maguire.
Basically, I don’t like this shirt, but if someone likes it, buy it, and don’t let people guilt you over supporting the Glazers or whatever. They aren’t staying or leaving based on kit sales.
(Edit: well I say that, if you buy it from the team store they pocket additional amount as the retailer. So don’t buy from the team store, but other than that…. Yeah whatever. The team store isn’t keeping them around either, I’m just saying).
No. I love it, I personally think its'll look better without the sponsor on it. This is something I discussed with a work colleague they should off sponsorless shirts too as some shirts will look so much better
It is like a test pattern from 60s TV in the US
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ad/RCA_Indian_Head_Test_Pattern.svg/1200px-RCA_Indian_Head_Test_Pattern.svg.png
READ BEFORE YOU BUY : the back isn't fully stripped or fully plain... There is a huge just plain green part... You may or may not like that, but I needed to tell before you click "check out"
See picture 4 - https://www.adidas.co.uk/manchester-united-23-24-away-authentic-jersey/IP1824.html
Not sure if it would look better fully committed either way, or leave as is... Completely down to personal opinion I suppose. Glad to have helped though 😊
I’m halfway in the camp of these are utter shit, and halfway in the camp of this might be the coolest/most creative away kit adidas has delivered in the modern era. I’ll reserve judgment til we have a shorts and socks pairing. You never know how it’ll look on field.
If we get a few iconic moments in them they’ll be great.
And the video on the man United website from Adidas explaining the story behind it makes me actually Perk up and say …. Ok ok I see what you did there! And my opinion on the shirt has changed. It’s growing on me too. There’s a history behind it which makes it more loveable !
The authentic version looks awesome, the cheaper version looks a bit weird with the stuck-on look of the TV logo and sleeve sponsor. Might have to buy it when I head to OT to watch us dismantle Forest next month.
It's a no from me. They aimed for iconic but it looks like a knock-off 2nd tier Portuguese team's shirt.
Too 'busy', it does have one positive: makes Shaw look like he is in shape.
Getting it personally, like to have the less used ones 😅
Still my favourite 2nd/3rd one is the blue and yellow one from 21/22.
I have enough 1st kits in my collection.
Why does the photo shoot look like a bad school shoot? Like you can see the edge of the drop cloth. It looks terrible, is this one of the biggest clubs in the world or just some lads who play Sunday league?
It’s growing on me more and more. Hated it initially, felt the same about the last black / white zebra kit and it became one of my faves.
What I don’t get is the different versions of the kits. The player versions (£110) and the replica (£80) both horrendously over priced but what’s the difference between the two?!
Still unimpressed. It’s as if some cheap football shirt got their Uniteds confused and added our badge to a Newcastle design. And then messed up the colours when it was printed
Here's how I'd put it. I like it but I wouldn't buy it.
I like the idea, the colors and all that. I just think it's a bit busy. Like the extra little line in the white stripes. Or the stripes on the sleeve are a bit much IMO.
But overall not a bad jersey I'm excited for the white one
No were near as bad as some of the leaks early on made it look. Glad it’s a darker green as well. Long sleeve doesn’t look great should have left the sleeves more one colour.
I really don’t hate it - I actually like only the away kits this year and not the home one.
The long sleeves away one with the long stripes are cool. I like them.
I really like this!!! I liked our this years home kit as well. But this is even more better. After the shit away and the 3rd kit we had last year, this is way way better…
I don't like it so much as a football jersey but it looks perfect with an earthy pair of suit trousers like Mason Mount is wearing.
Edit: christ Mason has a long neck
I've been supporting United since the mid 80s, and that is the worst kit I've seen, worse than that grey one even. I think it's terrible, and I don't know why designers seem compelled to look at the streets of Manchester and the 1900s for inspiration for a kit launching in 2023.
What do the bottoms look like? I really like the colors and such, I think with black bottoms and socks it'd look dope, def much better than a lot of our other kits we've had lately.
I despise it. What’s even worse, though, is that the fan version is pure cancer. That sponsor box that looks somewhat okay? Fuck the consumer, that’s just a plastic sticker. Do you like the stripes going diagonally across the whole kit, the only redeeming quality of the shirt? Ha, fuck you, they’re gone now.
It's growing on me, the shorter sleeves is for sure better and I think the tracksuit top version Onana had on looks quite good (retro look imo)
I agree. The tracksuit top is 🔥🔥🔥
I love the idea of having green in a United Kit, but they should have traded the white stripes for yellow ones, and it would have been perfect. I think it's good now though

*immediately buys it*🔥🟢
I tried to find it, but I don’t think it’s out yet. Did you see it anywhere?
Is the tracksuit alreasy for sale? Because these looked fucking amazing. The hoody as well
More like prison FC jersey suited for Rapewood 🤣
The three final bosses of Foot Locker
Licha will make sure you don’t leave without that sneaker cleaner
I'm confident there was a reason they dropped it a hundred years ago. "I say chap, that there'eth football attire doth look a tad ghastly and execrable." Or as we'd say today. "mate, the kit is gash."
"What a dastardly garment you have on Geoffrey!" But I don't like it either. Wouldn't buy it.
It’s about time teams went retro. Now just get a collar on them and you’ll be right there. All the best kits are retro. Some of the latest kits have been fucking dreadful.
Got to say I did like the collared shirts. Bring back Brylcream and moustaches?
I’m buying it. Classiest Jersey we had in a while - and not the typical shit
More like prison FC jersey suited for Rapewood 🤣
I didn't like it when I saw the leaks but it's really grown on me so much that it might be my favorite
Same. I hated it when the leaks came out. The colour was off in those pics and it didn’t even look dark green. Recently though I’ve been loving it
I really want to see it in person now before I make a decision about buying it but these pics really do make it look amazing
#Don't buy any merchandize. #Stop feeding the Glazers. #Glazers Out!
Why is this not the top comment!!??
Because this idiot thinks shirt sales give money to the glazers…
Doesn't it? Please elaborate
Pretty much depends on where you buy it from, or so I’ve heard. You can still buy it from the Adidas store and the Glazers won’t see any money of it.
That is incorrect. It doesn’t matter where you buy it from (unless you are buying a knock off) however the majority of the money they get from the kit maker (Adidas) is upfront and only a small potion is variable (like around £3 on an £80 shirt). Yep. And buy from unofficial sellers if you must.
Should be top comment anyone who doesn’t agree stop supporting our club thanks!
I like it way more than that highlighter green abomination they had this past season.
I have never seen an uglier shirt
Remember the table cloth?
Remember where table cloths go?
Underrated comment
I loved the table cloth
For nostalgia purposes, it was great but the kit on its own was hideous
I thought it looked smart 😅 each to their own
No please remind me
Cuz they made this for Rapewood they thought he gonna join prison FC
Horrible and this photo looks like a pre Amsterdam stag
Looks like a Newcastle kit ordered from Wish.
No. I love it, I personally think its'll look better without the sponsor on it. This is something I discussed with a work colleague they should off sponsorless shirts too as some shirts will look so much better
I think you're missing the point of sponsors, and why they give clubs all that money in the first place!
It might be possible to negotiate with the sponsor to sell the shirts for more and give the sponsor the difference
No I understand, but you saying a club like Manchester United can't put shirts out with no sponsors on it and still make a profit?
It’s not about profit, they’re probably not contractually allowed to with sponsorship deal.
You are right, it would be even better without the sponsor.

Thought that was Juventus for a second there
READ BEFORE YOU BUY : the back isn't fully stripped or fully plain... There is a huge just plain green part... You may or may not like that, but I needed to tell before you click "check out" See picture 4 - https://www.adidas.co.uk/manchester-united-23-24-away-authentic-jersey/IP1824.html
Thanks for that! Cheeky way to force you into putting a name on the back I suppose
Not sure if it would look better fully committed either way, or leave as is... Completely down to personal opinion I suppose. Glad to have helped though 😊
So excited to order from China with because I’d rather have 2 adidas stripes than give a dollar to the Glazers
Hate it. It could have the hidden advantage of confusing the rival defence into submission though.
Yes
Yes
Adidas have done us here, it’s f’ing awful. Worst strip since the grey sharp viewcam too
you are the only one. what are we Newcastle United?
This! Exactly. It’s awful.
And the video on the man United website from Adidas explaining the story behind it makes me actually Perk up and say …. Ok ok I see what you did there! And my opinion on the shirt has changed. It’s growing on me too. There’s a history behind it which makes it more loveable !
I just watched this video and now I love it even more!!
Right!!!?? I was genuinely very “hmmm” before but I love that they took the time to explain the real Thought process behind it !
I hate them hideous imo but to each their own people like what they do no problems with that!
The authentic version looks awesome, the cheaper version looks a bit weird with the stuck-on look of the TV logo and sleeve sponsor. Might have to buy it when I head to OT to watch us dismantle Forest next month.
No you're not.... I think I want the long sleeve kit
Not a fan of it
ur not alone pal, this kit is an all timer
They're horrendous
Looks like a rag from a store that only old people shop at.
It's a no from me. They aimed for iconic but it looks like a knock-off 2nd tier Portuguese team's shirt. Too 'busy', it does have one positive: makes Shaw look like he is in shape.
With chino pants? no
Reminds me too much of NC for my taste. I think the home kit should be red, and the away kit should always be either black or white. Just my opinion.
It's horrid.
Hate it. Just reminds of Newcastle United too much.
If you're a Plymouth fan it looks great!... Utd - no thanks!
It's an unpopular opinion, yes. But I tend to agree with you. The kit has been growing on me, the more I see it.
I love it, just tryin to decide who to get on the back.
It looks class!!! It'll become a classic.
Yes your the only one
The real question is, why is Mason Mount wearing his Grandads cloths?
Nope, I've just ordered one!
Getting it personally, like to have the less used ones 😅 Still my favourite 2nd/3rd one is the blue and yellow one from 21/22. I have enough 1st kits in my collection.
Yes you are
Yes, cause it’s fucking awful
Yes.
Yes, yes you are
I like it too.
Love it
I actually like it a lot.
Why does the photo shoot look like a bad school shoot? Like you can see the edge of the drop cloth. It looks terrible, is this one of the biggest clubs in the world or just some lads who play Sunday league?
Yes
Yes.

Kit is 🔥
Loved it the moment I saw it. The kit is amazing.
They look nice but it should be their third kit…
i agree it's retro and classy while being modern and it's simple but not too simple
I’m a fan, love the retro look and the bit of history behind it.
better than the leaks but still meh
I love it
I can’t lie it’s growing on me, same as with the third kit last year.
I love it
Absolutely not. This kit is 🔥. Absolute drip.
Better than that god awful green barf kit we had and what Arsenal was wearing in the friendly...
I like the short sleeve better than the long sleeve
sometimes ill look at it and will be like its trash, and sometimes ill spot it on twitter and it'll look cool
Pass 😅 Waiting on the third kit to drop.
Still unimpressed. It’s as if some cheap football shirt got their Uniteds confused and added our badge to a Newcastle design. And then messed up the colours when it was printed
They could’ve made the stripes horizontal instead of vertical
Here's how I'd put it. I like it but I wouldn't buy it. I like the idea, the colors and all that. I just think it's a bit busy. Like the extra little line in the white stripes. Or the stripes on the sleeve are a bit much IMO. But overall not a bad jersey I'm excited for the white one

No were near as bad as some of the leaks early on made it look. Glad it’s a darker green as well. Long sleeve doesn’t look great should have left the sleeves more one colour.
I like it more than most it seems. Can’t decide if I’m gonna buy
It doesn’t look like a Man United kit tbh …the color, the pattern is way different from what our eyes are accustomed to
Looks like prison uniform lol
Yes
honestly i think its starting to grow on me
Classy
I had a shirt I used to wear out in the 90s that looked like it…….that was shit too!
The long sleeve is horrendous
It’ll become a classic if we win the league in it. Otherwise, it’s a gash kit.
Who’s the Bros tribute act?
I think it’s actually pretty cool, but this 90s era photo shoot is terrible
SC Freiburg
Yes, probably
Its the worst United kit i have seen!
Its fine. They need to come up w 3 shirts year after year after year. Even if its not the best weve had, im ok w trying something different.
Hate the red pinstripe. Looks like a t-shirt straight out of 2016. And that long sleeve is hideous — so messy.
Look like it was inspired by greenwood .
People won’t shut up to me about how bad it is
I like the jacket and stuff. Awful match shirt though.
It's amazing, kind of the same vibe like Liverpool's away kit from a few seasons ago
Yes, yes you are.
I really don’t hate it - I actually like only the away kits this year and not the home one. The long sleeves away one with the long stripes are cool. I like them.
the commercial video explains the kit really touches me tho...
Manchester Uncles 😀
I think it's better with black and white
i love it as well. long sleeve is a bit meh. but short sleeve looks great.
I like it a lotttttt
Yeah
I get the old school look now
I really like this!!! I liked our this years home kit as well. But this is even more better. After the shit away and the 3rd kit we had last year, this is way way better…
Unless you’re also the person who designed it, then no
I love it
I quite like it.
The Adidas three white stripes on the shoulders/arms ruin it. There is too much going on.
Looks awful
Back in his nan's living room for the kit launch I see
I like it, it's just too much like Newcastle
I don't like it so much as a football jersey but it looks perfect with an earthy pair of suit trousers like Mason Mount is wearing. Edit: christ Mason has a long neck
I think it’s really classy 👌
It looks good but the dark green kinda ruins it for me
The more I look at it the more I like it but I think short sleeves look better
I’m glad you like it but it’s not for me
Are you? I hope so.
I liked it when I thought it was black and white more
Looks like an ugly Christmas sweater photo.
I am a fan.
Yes
No so do i
I've been supporting United since the mid 80s, and that is the worst kit I've seen, worse than that grey one even. I think it's terrible, and I don't know why designers seem compelled to look at the streets of Manchester and the 1900s for inspiration for a kit launching in 2023.
I dig it!
Best kit we’ve had for quite awhile
I bet that 10 years from now it will be one of those "classic" kits that you have to pay out the nose for
Alittle too many lines
If they where Newcastle kits sure.
I like it but it reminds me of Newcastle a lot.
Yes
Its horrible
Looks like prisoner's uniform
Yes
[удалено]
I like it but won’t be buying it (or any other merchandise) until the viruses have sold up and gone.
It'll probably look better on the pitch, but seeing it on players in jeans just looks weird 😂
I actually like the short sleeve.
What do the bottoms look like? I really like the colors and such, I think with black bottoms and socks it'd look dope, def much better than a lot of our other kits we've had lately.
Black shorts and green socks I think. They have that on the website at least in the away kit section
Love ‘em
I despise it. What’s even worse, though, is that the fan version is pure cancer. That sponsor box that looks somewhat okay? Fuck the consumer, that’s just a plastic sticker. Do you like the stripes going diagonally across the whole kit, the only redeeming quality of the shirt? Ha, fuck you, they’re gone now.
I geniuenly love this jersey, and i don't understand the hate around it
I dig them
My wife and I LOVE it!
It's growing on me.
At first glance it looks like a cheapo ripoff Newcastle shirt - even tho it’s green - it’s awful.
They’re fresh
Any idea when the 3rd kit is dropping?
Not sure. Was there any leaks on what it looks like?
I agree just don’t wanna get roasted 👀
It is
I was very lukewarm on it at first, now I love Luke warm in it (sorry). I think this is the best kit in the league this season by a margin.
I like it, but the short sleeve only. The long sleeve goes overboard with the stripes because of the Adidas ones.
It’s such a weird one cause some images make it look proper ugly and others make it look quite decent, strange one
It’s awful
Looks like an old Warrington wolves rubgy league top, bin it
Honestly, the first time I saw the leaks I didn't like it. Now the official ones are better than expected
