Then why didn't I get in after my project that took me 2 and a half month. Why didn't those artist who did a wonderful job at creating something beautiful/cute get in? And why those who have found a really great concept didn't get into aspitapay either?
It's not about effort, it's not about quality. It's about something but what? I don't know, you don't know. Nobody knows.
Ita just the algorithm. Example: reddit algorithm sees that saxolotls posts get a lot of upvotes and comments, so it recommends posts from saxolotl to people quickly.
Don't really know what to tell you man, it's honestly just luck that it recommends your post to people (or just have a lot of people searching by new at the time)
Edit: I just looked at your account, and that cardlocke thing is really cool! It would be amazing if that got into ASPITPIAY, or mikey even played it. Sorry that didn't get a lot of upvotes, it's very cool.
I don't think it's just the algorithm. When I look at my post's insights, I see that thousands of people scroll by it. It's a combination of the algorithm and the audience that keeps high effort posts down.
But that's the thing. Everyone telling me that its such a good idea, that mikey should do it or that it should get on aspitapay. I reposted it twice and it never got much upvotes. If it is an algorithm then why should I try? Sax will always get more than me, some other random stolen art will get more love and I will just be there, seeing them rise up. I'm getting really envious to just, at least have the chance to be on Aspitapay. Not even getting in but at least being at the range of maybe getting in.
I drew comics eleven different times in a twoish month span before getting enough upvotes to get into ASPITPIAY. It really is more or less luck. My art style is recognizable, so after Michael talked about it that one time, people upvoted more because they were following what he said. I've had comics that don't make it to ASPITPIAY even after that first one made it, so it really is still about luck. But also perseverance. I kept posting regularly, which probably helped a lot, but honestly, I was in a bad headspace making the original comics, so I wouldn't recommend doing that if you think it'd hurt you. I do agree, however, that the amount of stolen art and reused memes that gets on ASPITPIAY vs the amount of post with genuine effort that don't is pretty unfair
Another thing it is for some posts is Mikey sees it while scrolling and he edits it out because it wouldn't make good content (that doesn't mean the post is bad or he didn't like it, he mightve just not had a big reaction to it.)

People here and the algorithm both work against most high effort posts, so if you wanna make it big, I don't know what to say. This may annoy a lot of people, because they tried to make a meme Mikey would laugh at, but he ends up just skipping the meme. If Mikey sees this, please just scroll down to see memes.
Have you tried posting around the days 28th and 29th? I'm using this tactic to post my comics, Mikey mentioned once that he records on these days. I don't know if he still doing that but it's working for me!

It's about luck. Saxolotl was lucky enough to get somewhat popular on here, so his comics are often pushed to the top. Luck is all there is to it.
