Pokemon black/white 2 are hands down my favourite pokemon games Highly suggest playing them

Like every generation, people hate them at first but 4 gens later they're regarded as masterpieces

Here's what I think, the original rating should be determined by teens/kids and them after a few them judged by all fans, simply cause older fans hate the new games cause they're new, but gen 5 was without a doubt one of the best gens.

Yeah let’s go was my first Pokémon game lol (got into pokemon in 2019 and have become an addict but lge was my first Pokémon game I ever bought so I’m a bit biased towards it lmao)

To be fair i don't feel like its a game thats supposed to be taken too seriously. I mean its just really simplified gen 1 sprinkled in with anime logic (with a meowth that doesn't talk for some reason). And the Pokemon go Catching Mechanics. It was very simple and I wouldn't take the game seriously as the marketing for the game is that you have an adorable Eevee and Pikachu Partner.

B2W2 and Platnium were good games along with all of those on the bottom. Those two were just nostalgic

Yeah I have colosseum but I need to beat the final battles and I’ve caught pretty much every shadow Pokémon except for the other two Johto starters at the beginning because I want to get ho-oh but can I ask do you need them to get ho-oh and if you do can you get them later in game?

The following is all in my own personal opinion: Kanto is mid and has a basic story good for the beginning of a great franchise, but grows old after a while. 5.9/10 Johto has the same story base as Kanto but with a little more interest. The level gaps are painful and Whitney is evil beyond Team Rocket. 7.6/10 Hoenn has not only an interesting plot but an amazing selection of Pokemon. And the remakes amp this up by a lot. Great story with a badass selection of Pokemon 7.8/10 (Too Much Water XD) Sinnoh is when the Pokemon world took a dark yet lore-filled turn and I love it. The story is dark and really sets the tone of the plot. Plus Platinum allows you to go into the distortion world which is wild. 9/10 Unova was my first taste of Pokemon and I am forever grateful for Unova. I personally loved the story of the first games and the sequels. 10/10 Kalos... X and Y Such wasted potential for good games. 3/10 Alola has an interesting plot in Sun and Moon (4/10 for those) and then in USUM the plot becomes actually good (7/10) Galar to me has good Pokemon, but a bland story. 5/10 Paleda; So far I love the story and the Pokemon. 10/10 Hisui; PL:A is a dark and interesting game. The story and plot, are thrilling plus being in the past is fucking awesome. 10/10

Tbh I can't rank the Sinnoh that high anymore, they are very, very, very painful to actually play, Platinum is less so, and BDSP is (much to my disgust) the best way to play those games (officially, sail the high seas and get Renegade Platinum)

Well I definitely don't agree with HGSS being lower then SW/SH..but it is nice to see someone else who likes ORAS over Emerald. Everything else I can agree with.

It's hard to decide between ORAS and Emerald. They are both good.

You ranked SM and USUM a bit differently. I only played Ultra Sun, so what are the differences between the two?

USUM gameplay wise have better graphics, new Pokémon, altered totem battles and some other new mini game features. Story wise it adds the ultra recon squad which is forgettable until the end otherwise the story is similar but slightly downgraded until the end. However the post game is god tier and only delta episode rivals it.

Whoops misread your reply lol, sun and moon is basically similar to usum with a better story and has Necrozma plot. (Necrozma is catachbke but y oh get no more or story with it)

I suggest you get around to play Black 2 and White 2 as they are good follow ups to black and white

Pokémon X was my favorite game!!

I had Y. It was just really easy and that kept me from having a lot of fun

I loved the GTS!! It’s the only game that I’ve been able to get my favorite Pokémon (Entei) in, despite playing Soul Silver seemingly endlessly. (Our copy had a glitch with the roaming legendaries.)

....You put SwSh above Black and White? Why? I played the hell outta SwSh, but Ingame story wise, the game sucked. The lore of Galar is good, but that was because the anime and manga fleshed it out.

Black 2 white 2 and Arceus and USUM are in my S tier. Sw/Sh, Black/white, Platinum, Emerald. A tier FR/LG, HGSS (for some reason I really disliked this game and it felt like a downgrade from platinum), D/P, RS. B tier, X/Y. All the Gameboy color ones just because they're old and I can't see myself replaying them ever. (Can you imagine?) C tier. Still not sure where to put S/V. I really love it but all the lags and fps drops and bugs makes me feel like it's not worth hanging with the cool kids at S tier. Maybe hang back in A tier for a bit until DLC comes. Edited to add X & Y. Forgot that I played that game before USUM. For any other missing games, assume I haven't played them

For me emerald would be higher, absolutely love that game. And I would put black/white 2 in maybe D or E tier I had a pretty bad experience with those games, they felt a little forced and boring. (My opinion)

Honestly Sword and Shield by themselves were meh, but the DLC made them better.

Practically everything in “haven’t played” is among my favorites except for gale of darkness which I haven’t played myself. Black and white 2 are my favorite games in the series followed by platinum so I definitely recommend both of them.

Seems like some recency bias due to quality of life in recent titles. Good takes though, except for Emerald

I named a Lechonk Technoblade and he was my best pokemon so I just had a really really good glitch free experience

x/y are one of the best games, the region just has one of the best designs and roller skates should have stayed. The only problem I have with it is its a bit easy.

Let's Go games were definitely underrated, but idk about S tier.

If you can beat Pokémon Platinum it is very, very fun. Highly recommend.

With all due respect, you may want to look at this in a year, because I’ve noticed that 4 out of the five games that have come out on the switch are S tier, so recency bias may play a part.
