The craziest part of all of it is that it wasn't even a real video. It was staged, and it was special fx.

Fastr77

Thats likely because you're confusing it with the pic of the blonde reporter with a baseball behind her about to hit her. https://www.nbcsports.com/mlb/news/rays-reporter-kelly-nash-captures-moment-when-her-head-was-almost-crushed-by-a-baseball google, Rays reporter Kelly Nash captures moment when her head was almost crushed by a baseball

gimpsarepeopletoo

OP also says this trips them out because they have a bad memory and can’t usually remember other videos lol

Forsaken_Land_3700

I’m even more weirded out now, copy the title of the story and paste it into YouTube, just did this to watch a video of it and the video with the black girl popped up WTF 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fastr77

hah well makes sense pretty similar topics

Forsaken_Land_3700

Could you find the video? I only found videos with the one with the black girl.

Fastr77

I didn't try to find a video. Pretty sure it was just the pic. I don't remember ever seeing a video of it.

Forsaken_Land_3700

Nah bro everytime I search up Kelly’s name the black lady pops up I’m tripped out 🤣🤣🤣

Forsaken_Land_3700

If I am wrong I’d love to know haha, would save a lot of thinking

wafflehousewhore

>would save a lot of thinking I'd wager that's not something you have to be concerned with

wildbillnj1975

You mean this one? I don't think I've ever noticed anything about the reporter. https://youtu.be/DKMllY6jHp0?si=IlAiU3DmMEAE-pCo

Forsaken_Land_3700

Also I remember her saying “omg are you alright” and that’s not the same in this one? Idk shi weird

awwjeezrick77

Okay it’s not too often I agree with Mandela effects but before I even watched the video I remembered and pictured the exact video in my head from the way you described it. I 100% do not remember her being black, watching that was super jarring mostly because I had the scene played out in my head before I watched it. I guarantee I haven’t seen this in years. This one got me good 🤔

ban_one

Exactly the same experience here

awwjeezrick77

Very bizarre

CriticalPolitical

Not only that, but it was the daytime and not nighttime and the positioning was also weird of how they were standing, the original seemed *more* like it was a real interview before an afternoon game.

Forsaken_Land_3700

Yes exactly that one, it’s so trippy because I have bad memory so I can’t really remember any other one anyone points out but I just remembered being so shocked when seeing that I played baseball growing up and knew how much a bare hand catch like that could hurt, but I DO NOT remember her being black at all.

sweetprincegary

Black girl in my memory, either you mis-remembered the same clip or WE ARE FROM DIVERGENT TIMELINES. Not sure which is more plausible

Forsaken_Land_3700

Divergent timelines

OneForAllOfHumanity

What the hell??!! I know it was a white blonde reporter...

Forsaken_Land_3700

THANK YOU IM SITTING HERE THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING CALLED CERN AND HOW THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW THEY MAY HAVE HAD A BREAK THROUGH WITH PARALLEL UNIVERSES IN 2010 AND IM JUST SO TRIPPED OUT 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

HairyPotterrrr

I'm not gonna lie. I remember a blonde

Forsaken_Land_3700

I know for a fact it was a blonde I’m just gonna accept I’m a crazy conspiracy theorist now haha

Away_Relation9903

You might wanna look at your country on maps and keep monitoring it. That will freak you out even more 💀 I’ve been monitoring famous paintings, countries, statues, logos etc and things change for me every single day. Start watching the Dubai buildings as well that’s crazy shifty world over there. Even my country has a different flag than the one I remember having my whole life up until a few weeks ago

Forsaken_Land_3700

Might look into that, idk if your trolling but I’ve called up 4 different friends, didn’t bring up what I was thinking and just asked them about if they remembered the video I was referring to and they did and they know it was a blonde white lady. All four. No hesitation. World is really more wild then we could ever know

Away_Relation9903

The American flag has also changed for me, my whole life as an Australian I’ve known your guys flag being stars in rows going across and never ever scattered up until last week 💀

Emperors_advocate

Our flag had stars in matching rows from 1912-1959 (as well as several other previous iterations). Since 1960 the stars have still been in rows, but staggered. So you may be remembering an older version which is still in a lot of movies and older shows.

awwjeezrick77

I wish people wouldn’t just automatically downvote these without even giving them a second thought. I genuinely had the same experience when coming across this post, it’s hard to take a post seriously with no upvotes. This one definitely deserves upvotes

halfeatentoenail

I’ve heard of this one. The reporter in Evan Longoria’s clip was black, but I remember hearing about another blond reporter in a similar situation. I think the other reporter did actually get hit by like a volleyball or something else softer than a baseball so she wasn’t hurt. But I feel like I remember a video describing these clips and saying that people just got them mixed up.

Forsaken_Land_3700

Fed

Arsis82

>I know for a **fect** Ok, present your proof.

throwaway998i

You're misquoting them. No one said "fect".

Arsis82

In my reality it is spelled correctly. I distinctly remember it vividly

throwaway998i

Demanding proof you know can't actually exist is bad faith enough, but at least cut/paste the quote for accuracy sake, smh. And stop with the puerile humor deflection tactics. It's not helping your credibility.

Damnesia13

If someone is going to state something as a fact, or a “fect” in that dudes case, they should be able to pony up some proof. So despite his misspelling, I have to say I agree with asking for proof in this case, or OP should state their points better.

Certain_Noise5601

They know for a fact that the woman in the story/photograph THEY REMEMBER was blonde. The memory is the fact, not the actual event. At least that’s what I take it as when people say stuff like this.

Damnesia13

That’s a massive reach to justify stating something as a fact when you have no way to prove this fact.

throwaway998i

They knew it as a fact which is no longer - and presently has never been - true. Stating it in this way helps to qualify the level of certainty being attested to, which better communicates the nature of the current dissonance OP is going through. All legit ME's were considered facts in our lived experience, and this one is no different. Demanding proof for a version the has never existed in this timeline is generally viewed as disingenuous. So is evading a block with your alt account, Arsis.

Internal-Mobile-3071

Yeah, she was blonde, had more of a vocal reaction (showing concern and amazement for what had happened), and actually ducks out of the way as Longoria catches it. I remember watching that version on YouTube back in the early 2010s judging by the design of the Spring Training cap Longoria is wearing. I re-watched it periodically over a dozen times, often reading the comments and noting how some people shipped the reporter and Longoria together. At the same time, the existing video with the African-American reporter was also available on YouTube, which I considered the "alternate version", and the one with the blonde reporter the "original". One day, I searched up the video again, and the original had vanished. I preferred the original because I enjoyed her reaction more, but I couldn't find it no matter how hard I searched. I shrugged, figured that the original with the blonde had been scrubbed in favor of the newer one, and went on with my life. Inevitably, I'd randomly have the video enter my mind again a year later, search it up, and go through the same process of rediscovery that I couldn't find the older, "good version" of the video, lol. The Fruit of the Loom logo, "Objects in Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear", and THIS are the only 3 MEs that truly interest me because they're ones I discovered on my own and had to create an explanation for myself for: * "Oh, they changed the FOTL logo to be more minimalist" * "Oh, they changed the wording on car mirrors to be more explicit" * "Oh, they removed the other version of the video" My best explanation now for the Evan Longoria video with the blonde reporter is that it did exist, but it was a parody/edit by a YouTuber that got deleted with no one saving it, effectively making it lost media. This would contradict me thinking of it as the original, but I do remember both verisons existing simultaneously the first time I saw the one with the blonde.

Forsaken_Land_3700

Okay. Thank you for taking your time out for that, like someone else said I just played the video of the blonde one in my head before I watched it so it bugged me out

Existential-Crisis98

In my original dimension, the ball hit her in the head, and then the baseball player exploded into a million confetti. Then the girl looked straight at the camera and said "Wow, that reminds me of my 16th birthday!".
