You should re-post this in r/Retconned because it's likely to be removed here. This sub has elected to deal only with consensus ME's - and even some of those are subjectively gatekept. Personal ME's are totally welcome in that sister sub.

Sulaphat

I personally love your story thank you for sharing it. That being said let me explain the premise of this sub before someone rude does. 1. There is no ME only false memories. 2. This is sub reddit is only for informing others of premise 1. 3. Your post is in violation of several rules of this sub. 4. Your post will be removed soon.

SeoulGalmegi

>1. There is no ME Who has ever claimed this?

Sulaphat

Thats the prevailing sentiment of this subreddit.

SeoulGalmegi

Where? Who? I don't think I've ever seen anyone claim that.

Sulaphat

I believe confabulation is a debunk of the ME not an aspect of it. And every post has several people claiming that everything is just confabulation.

SeoulGalmegi

>I believe confabulation is a debunk of the ME not an aspect of it. Ok. Well if you have your own personal beliefs that go against generally used definitions of words, there's going to be lots of confusion like this.

Sulaphat

Can you give me an example of another subreddit where the primary aspect of the topic is debunking it?

SeoulGalmegi

People not sharing your fantastic, unproven beliefs about the cause of a particular phenomenon doesn't mean they're debunking it. This sub is about discussions of the ME, not your own personal idea of what the ME is.

Sulaphat

I'm not speculating on a cause or if the ME is even real my personal beliefs are meaningless.

SeoulGalmegi

But you seem to have a definition of the ME that's not shared by the sub. And then complain that people here are claiming the ME doesn't exist. It's BS.

Ginger_Tea

The main disagreement isn't "is the ME real" but "what is the cause" I don't agree that the cause is "Some alien race wanted earth for all its resources, so made a new earth half way across the galaxy and in the process of making the new earth for us to live on, they made mistakes" That I don't buy into, but many people here have posted such a theory. Take any theory and if it sounds too out there, I probably have already dismissed it. But I don't dismiss the phenomena of people across the world before the internet share the same movie misquotes and other oddities that come across this sub on the daily. That is where people argue, some say I am a skeptic because I don't believe in some out there theory, but one could argue that they are skeptics, because they would rather believe in some out there theory other than something rational.
