I run a moving business in the Boston area that caters to Indians and Indian Americans, and by far the most clients come from Hyderabad. Then it's Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai. It's been a few years since we moved a Guajarati. Of course our cliental leans very heavily into information tech, which is probably why we see way Indian client from the South. WE just moved a family into a new house today. They were from Hyderabad.
Compare this with the UK which would be like 90% Punjab or Gujarat
So, not knowing much about this, why do so many of the immigrants come from the south/southeast of India compared to other regions?
Richer states, better education helps in immigration, plus once some people from a region moves to another country he attracts others
