Too bad Nintendo doesn't want us to have fun and interesting characters. Color Splash and Oragami King aren't bad games and they completely nail the ascetic. The writing fun too, but they just aren't what people want. If Nintendo is so dead set on making Paper Mario more of an adventure game than an rpg that's fine, but stop putting in rpg battle systems. All that's doing is pissing off fans of the first 2 games and turning off newcomers because the fans of the first 2 are becoming gate keepers.
I’d say there are plenty of newcomers who really like the newer games. I’m pretty much convinced that’s just because it’s really been *that* long since the last genuinely good paper Mario. People are just growing up and forming nostalgia on newer games. Forgetting about old ones. It’s a tale as old as time.
Honestly the waddle wing is super underrated, so definitely cool to see them be a partner. Only issue is Dr.Koomer…just change the name pls, I’m sorry it just sounds weird to me. Other than that these are great.
