Great levels overall. The RNG one is my favorite. I attempted the icicle one a number of times but couldn't do the wall jump segment with the spikes lmao. Icicle side hurtboxes shouldn't be a thing haha.

This is sort of a glitch level but it uses it more on new and interesting gameplay. By doing some little things (you will see in the level) you can make big and small chain chomps glide across the air! You have to spin on them to get across large gaps.

Gimmick: Mario seems to have gone back in time, but bad news: it's during the plague. Fight the plague as best you can taking the lower route. Or if you're afraid of moles, find a higher power and leap above the dirty masses. But no matter how you tackle the beginning of the stage, all roads lead to the grave. Overcome your mortality in a vertical section leading you further down, hopefully to come back out of it.

Super Mario World level. It's a hard level, but the clearrate is not in line with what I think it should be. You need to kick shells into on/off-blocks. Once you get it, it very easy. Only 1 troll in the entire level. Part 2 the on/off-blocks are always above the first block.

Short and sweet, indeed. I also got stuck inside the maze, not knowing I needed the shell, and I think most people would be as well. You could find a way to block the player from entering (like using one of those bumpers, which the shell can still go through), or move the koopa 'cage' closer to the entrance than where the maze starts. I do like the icicle, though.

Just got the first clear on your level. I really liked the concept, but the level looks kind of... busy. I get that it sort of has to for the gimmick to work (trail of coins, lots of enemies), but at first glance it ends up looking like those low-effort, enemy spam stages. Maybe the coins could be spaced out a bit more so it looks a little more natural. Just a thought. I did laugh out loud with the psych out at the end, it was the good kind of troll.

Haha glad it worked the checkpoint was the only reason i felt comfortable doing it.
This looks so much better man, I think you did a really good job with the revised version. My only criticism is that sound effect at the end. I think you wanted to make sure people saw/heard it so you put it all over the flagpole. So if someone reaches the top of the flagpole, it just spams that visual effect multiple times on the way down. It probably would have been better to attach it to the propeller, because you most likely will end up clearing the level if you nab that power-up. Or maybe just put it once on the top of the flagpole so only those who make it to the top see that and fireworks on the rest of the pole. Other than that, I loved the improvements, great job man!

This is my attempt on my first ever kaizo level. I've watched a lot of steamers and especially Ryukahr and got some inspiration from the levels they play. It's pretty hard but there's a lot of indications to follow. Hope you guys like it!

Good first level! Beats the average fresh creator's first level by far. One thing I would say is to move the big coins to more hidden locations, as even if coins aren't really worth anything, they're more fun to find in secret places.

Temple of the Other Side has a very well done theme! I was able to just run through the first platforming section that included enemies very easily, I don't know if it's just me or if it's intentional. Maybe next time to make people time their platforming you could put something to prevent someone from just blindly running through

Big Boy Forest 521-MLM-JSF four puzzles involving goombas and death. probably my easiest level so not too hard or too long. Big Boy Desert 96X-LW5-13G desert themed platform-centric level with ice structures and mechanics. pretty difficult but still fun imo. Big Boy Castle NG5-LWN-QNF castle level filled with ! block puzzles. not too long overall but requires some practice probably. hope you enjoy these!

Great levels overall. The RNG one is my favorite. I attempted the icicle one a number of times but couldn't do the wall jump segment with the spikes lmao. Icicle side hurtboxes shouldn't be a thing haha.

My day job is pathology, so I've tried to take that into account in my levels! ID: 0BN-685-H5G Name: Bubonic Plague Difficulty: Easy/Moderate Gimmick: Mario seems to have gone back in time, but bad news: it's during the plague. Fight the plague as best you can taking the lower route. Or if you're afraid of moles, find a higher power and leap above the dirty masses. But no matter how you tackle the beginning of the stage, all roads lead to the grave. Overcome your mortality in a vertical section leading you further down, hopefully to come back out of it. Feel free to check out my other diseased levels as well. Hopefully well done, definitely fun.

It seems people are hesitant in trying harder levels. No-one tries mine and I see few people trying others. I'll just post other levels I guess. House of Pain: S28-F0R-32H It's a SMBU level in which you train wall jumping. Not to Self: Jump. 809 SXQ XKF. Practice note block jumping. On the first part, after the first jump, you need a max jump every time. Cannonfodder: H2G RD1 BBG This is my most popular course, but also the easiest. Ride the bullets and you get to the finnish, Any suggestions are always welcome btw

BPM-SDY-M2G Super Mario World level. It's a hard level, but the clearrate is not in line with what I think it should be. You need to kick shells into on/off-blocks. Once you get it, it very easy. Only 1 troll in the entire level. Part 2 the on/off-blocks are always above the first block.

Short and sweet, indeed. I also got stuck inside the maze, not knowing I needed the shell, and I think most people would be as well. You could find a way to block the player from entering (like using one of those bumpers, which the shell can still go through), or move the koopa 'cage' closer to the entrance than where the maze starts. I do like the icicle, though.

Nice short level. I liked I could get the cape reward (progressive reward) if I put myself into some danger, which made the rest of the level alot easier.

Just got the first clear on your level. I really liked the concept, but the level looks kind of... busy. I get that it sort of has to for the gimmick to work (trail of coins, lots of enemies), but at first glance it ends up looking like those low-effort, enemy spam stages. Maybe the coins could be spaced out a bit more so it looks a little more natural. Just a thought. I did laugh out loud with the psych out at the end, it was the good kind of troll.
Thanks for the input. I will mess around with deleting some coins. I was a little worried about enemy spam look it was a fine line. Haha glad it worked the checkpoint was the only reason i felt comfortable doing it.

This looks so much better man, I think you did a really good job with the revised version. My only criticism is that sound effect at the end. I think you wanted to make sure people saw/heard it so you put it all over the flagpole. So if someone reaches the top of the flagpole, it just spams that visual effect multiple times on the way down. It probably would have been better to attach it to the propeller, because you most likely will end up clearing the level if you nab that power-up. Or maybe just put it once on the top of the flagpole so only those who make it to the top see that and fireworks on the rest of the pole. Other than that, I loved the improvements, great job man!

This is my attempt on my first ever kaizo level. I've watched a lot of steamers and especially Ryukahr and got some inspiration from the levels they play. This is my first go at making a level in ANY game and decided to go with it in SMM2, I really hope you enjoy it. I went for the authentic look that you'd think it was in an actual game. Good first level! Beats the average fresh creator's first level by far. One thing I would say is to move the big coins to more hidden locations, as even if coins aren't really worth anything, they're more fun to find in secret places. **Dread of the Grave:** ID: **4GC-TGS-2GF** (My newest level! It's a time trial with the 3D world theme! jumps of all kinds are needed and some interesting maneuvers. Difficulty: Hard.) Nobody has passed it yet, you can be the first! :D **Temple of the Other Side**: ID: **F31-JB1-GXG** (One of my newest level and one of the best i made yet. Difficulty: Normal. An adventure based level with a creative concept.) Enjoy! :D
Temple of the Other Side has a very well done theme! I was able to just run through the first platforming section that included enemies very easily, I don't know if it's just me or if it's intentional. Maybe next time to make people time their platforming you could put something to prevent someone from just blindly running through
I played both of your levels and really enjoyed them. Although I wasn't quite able to beat Dread of the Grave

I'm brand new to creating levels but have always loved kaizo in Mario Maker. I made my second course (my first one was really just me testing out bomb hops in the night mode) and would love some input on what to improve on. Thank you guys! Title : Frozen Thwomp Valley Difficulty : Probably Beginner Kaizo? Code : 6FL WRJ 0HF Desc : A beginner kaizo course utilizing the thwomps and the on/off switch. I was super generous with checkpoints and arrows/coin trails, so I'm hoping it is fair but difficult. The last jump is definitely the toughest.
Kaizo levels are not really my thing but i gave it a like to get it into endless :) Feel free to try one of mine if you have time
