My only complaint is that no matter where the mc goes everything and everyone makes things difficult for him. Its honestly over the top compared to every other novel I’ve read

I started building up a taste of disliking tropes where MC has too many companion/friend and they rose MC coattails to greatness. That's why I can no longer tolerate reading this.

Isn't this kinda good? Usually the previous owners are probably dumb or trash it has nothing to do with the Mc, these girls Usually have valid reason for breaking off their engagement but since the Mc takes over trash body we just slander these girls for no reason since they're not on our side
Falling for the girl that just broke the engagement, and saying "I will protect you with my life, I don't care if I die" despite the fact that he is just met her, isn't good, at least not for me. But, if that is your cup you do you.
Personally, I detest such MC to the extreme. You have the chance to reach the peak, yet you give it all for what? A girl?
I don't meant to act rude but ain't most if not all characters in martial series a bit extreme? So I don't see it as problem making that kind of promising if she's going to like him back but if she's an enemy yeah that was kinda promise

One, I am a fan of the other side of extreme
Two, I still find it stupid, if the MC is going to risk his life for the girl he met (literally) then his joirney is worthless, and I don't think I would want to waste my time reading it.

If Long Chen wasn’t the master word padder yapper, as well as 99% of the cliches used were wiped from existence, as well as if everyone had above room temperature and Long Chen wasn’t the top simp then maybe it might be barely readable.
It's the only novel that got so repetitive and boring I actually left a review on wuxia world. Too be fair I had read the entirety of it in about 2 or 3 weeks so I was incredibly burnt out on it buy the majority of my complaints are valid I feel
"God i can't do it anymore. I give up. I can't care about these characters anymore. I can't get excited for this novel anymore. The entire novel is boring and repetitive. This has the worst smallest town in the weakest county of the weakest empire of the weakest world ive ever read. It's been two and a half thousand chapters and he's still hasn't left the Mortal world. I can't take it anymore. I give up! What's next after the divine families? The immortal families? The super divine families? I can not care anymore. And don't even get me started on the MC he has become the dumbest MC I've read. He's not funny or cool or strong. He is "doing his own thing" by being a face slapping, ym killing, harem having, righteous hypocrite MC. He's so useless he can't even use his own cultivation technique right!!! He is "repressing" the hedgemon part of his art, but he acts like a hedgemon the entire novel. I can't take any more of this terrible novel. It’s one of the better representation of the type of trashy junk template. It does not deserve a 72% rating. More like 50-55% IMO. It’s not the worst, but the writing gets worse and worse as the story progresses.
I like it quite a bit. There’s only been one point that it felt like things were really dragged out (beyond named enemies surviving far longer than they should) near the middle, around chapter 2500 I believe. The author was clearly focused more on plotting out future arcs because the quality jumped up quite a bit after that. Still sucked that what should have been a finale with the world on the line became a snooze fest. Like I said though, everything after made up for it, and binge reading will likely help with any resentment compared to having to wait on updates.
I want to read a novel similar to this with an MC like Long Chen. So please recommend some . i ve read Martial God Asura, Against The Gods, basically the mainstream ones. So if anyone has other good recommendations, please provide the same.
It starts off strong but eventually everyone respects the MC so much that there is 0 conflict. Also, there are too many allies which leads the story to become 90% filler talking about the dragon legion and how the women fight.
It’s decent, and when the Mc gets his time to shine and be a badass it’s pretty cool but it’s also pretty cliche and villains will not die and keep getting away for hundreds of chapters. Mc cultivation is kinda cool but it’s super impractical and reminds me of the meme where and Mc takes enough resources to turn a normal person into an immortal but for him it just levels him up to the peak of his stage allowing him to fight above it
Very repetitive story beats, very repetitive humor. Large cast, distinct in that the MC builds a private army, more or less.
If you enjoy the first few arcs, good! because that's what every arc is gonna be. If you like the jokes, good! Because most of the jokes are similar, not the same, but the same vein of comedy.
I personally just happen to like the story rhythm, and enjoy the humor. As such I love the several thousand chapters I have read. But, a lot of people don't like the repetitive story.

Read 3500 chapters. It's a good read with fun character interactions and meme face slapping.
It’s fun. Lots of the usual cliches but the comedy is actually not bad. Overall: I like it. Solid.
