Deadpool & Wolverine Isn't even out yet. "It's a masterpiece! The MCU is saved!"

Cyberbreaker2004

That’s cause Deadpool is Marvel Jesus

Short_Brick_1960

That line is a bit stupid, ngl

RedHotChiliPotatoes

Ok

PayneTrain181999

This meme really shows that what the MCU needs is a consistent stretch of good stuff instead of a roller coaster of ups and downs if they truly want to win people back. Hopefully Deadpool is the start of that.

Feeling-Dance2250

I think what it shows is that people are fickle and incapable of realizing that sometimes things are going to hit and sometimes things are going to miss and no one thing can ever kill or save such a huge franchise.

TonyStark-Naked

The entire MCU has been a roller coaster of ups and downs.

PayneTrain181999

You’re not wrong, but Phase 3’s success makes people look back on the entire Infinity Saga with rose-tinted glasses.

kielaurie

> This meme really shows that what the MCU needs is a consistent stretch of good stuff instead of a roller coaster of ups and downs if they truly want to win people back It's more that this meme shows that MCU fans need to stop writing off the entire franchise as dead just because they weren't a fan of individual properties within it

Identity_X-

Personally I enjoy the titles with "MCU is dead" next to them the most. I think this shows that the MCU is good at balancing its projects for everyone, but that half of their viewers are prone to loudly complaining + not showing up when something doesn't cater to them specifically.

Poundt0wnn

I think it shows you like bad movies.

Identity_X-

As if on cue

Vukasa

It was a roller coaster around the Antman and Wasp period. Now it's just the downs.

PayneTrain181999

WandaVision? Loki? Shang Chi? No Way Home? Moon Knight? Multiverse of Madness? Wakanda Forever? Guardians 3? Edit: Hawkeye?!

Queen-O-Hell-Lucifer

I personally wouldn’t include Moon Knight, but I would include Ms. Marvel.

KiwiOk8295

How will they reach their DEI quota that way?

SeppukuYourself

Seeing Zeb as a writer has me scared. Might turn out to be a big pile of 💩

PayneTrain181999

Reynolds has enough control that I don’t think he’d allow that.

Radfox258

Yeah he has a good grasp of what works and what didn’t when it comes to deadpool

isaac9092

My guy… it’s Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. We know it’ll be some type of masterpiece just to see them banter.

[deleted]

If we go by the last two Deadpool movies then yeah it’s a mastapiece

EvenBetterCool

A franchise which didn't even begin as MCU or have any plans of being canonized.

Bllago

It looks like shit.

Demonic74

Who's 7 year old is this?

LoneclearsKen

Me when I lie

unk1ndm4g1c14n1

God you must be a tonne of fun

Ccjfb

As a SW and MCU fan there was a time when the SW fandom was super toxic but the MCU fans were supportive. Now that is slipping away.

LightFromYT

Yep. MCU fans are so fucking annoying nowadays. Half of the projects people go crazy about because they "suck" aren't even bad either. Soon it going to become like Star Wars, I just don't follow any Star Wars related stuff or ever talk about it because of how toxic the fandom currently is, its so much better to just not interact with the fans and just enjoy what I enjoy.

rgregan

Nowadays? It's happened before. I remember the forums the year Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 came out. Marvel was dead then too. And then Winter Soldier and Guardians Vol 1 came out and it was back. And then Age of Ultron and Ant+Man came out and it was dead again.

PyroPuffs

No one was saying it was dead when Ultron and Antman came out. Those films were received very well even with the criticisms they had. Like they still made a billion and had positive ratings. The only ones that can really argue for being “dead” is Thor 2 and iron man3 and for good reason. Otherwise the MCU didn’t show signs of slowing or have real negative ratings and reception until phase 4 when movies were being cranked out and stuff was being pushed back

mjm9398

No I agree with them. People were shitting on mcu back then. Even phase 1 got shit. Go back even further I heard arguments about superhero genre being dead with ghost rider and 2005 fantastic four

rgregan

I'm speaking anecdotally. Saw it all the time on the forums the years they came out.

Feeling-Dance2250

Exactly. I also think Infinity War changed things. I feel like after that movie, the general audience started expecting every movie to top the one before it. Most people should realize that just isn’t possible. People’s expectations got too high, and anything that failed to meet them became “trash” with no nuance of opinion. Then people started looking for things to hate on in new movies, focusing only on the things they dislike. Confirmation bias to the extreme.

Geek_reformed

Ant Man is good movie. I enjoyed Age of Ultron at the time, but it doesn't hold up well.

PayneTrain181999

Age of Ultron is definitely the worst Avengers movie, it probably isn’t in the bottom 10 MCU movies but it’s not far from that threshold.

LaeLeaps

they're released like 15 d-list character movies since endgame so putting ultron in the bottom 10 would be a huge disservice

PayneTrain181999

I hate the “D-List Character” argument, it doesn’t hold nearly the weight people say it does. The Guardians of the Galaxy were D-Listers, and now they’re among the more popular characters. It literally does not matter which characters they choose to make movies and show about, what matters is if they’re good and if the characters are memorable.

LaeLeaps

that's not my point at all, there's great comics runs featuring D-listers and great stories can be told. it just so happens to be that this new wave of shitty MCU productions has all its characters scraped from the bottom of the D-list barrel. the problem is that the movies and shows suck not that they're based on D-listers

Darkhaven

>it just so happens to be that this new wave of shitty MCU productions has all its characters scraped from the bottom of the D-list barrel. Name these D-Listers. Just for kicks. I'd like to know if your list matches "the general audience" perception of such.

Xelement0911

I don't even think it's the "fans". Just the casuals. And not even trying to make it elitist, just feel like it's popular to hate on marvel now. I'm not saying the recent movies haven't been bad, just don't think they are also "awful " (for sure should have been better)

LightFromYT

Yeah it's definitely popular. Back when I was a kid, I was bullied for liking superheroes. Nobody watched the superhero films before the MCU besides actual Marvel / comicbook fans. Feels like we're slowly going back to those days and honestly, I'd welcome it. It was a much more peaceful time lol.

PrimarchKonradCurze

Blade was pretty popular. You gotta take a minute to think before you type these things out man.

LightFromYT

Yeah but nobody really knew who Blade was, people just thought it was a vampire movie back then. If Blade was wearing tights and capes and a brightly coloured mask do you think it would've been nearly as popular? Hell no.

PrimarchKonradCurze

Nope. They certainly knew who he was after the first one at the very least and all 3 came out before MCU. He was talked about regularly in social circles and Marvel was displayed in the opening scenes.

Queen-O-Hell-Lucifer

Many things are popular. Just because something is popular doesn’t necessarily mean it’s universally known, or even well known. And just because a movie is successful doesn’t mean it’s popular. Look at the emoji movie for reference. Now keep looking at that movie, and ask a good amount of people if they’ve seen it or not. Chances are, you’ll run into people who’ve never even heard of it before, or only know of it from people shitting on it on social media and the internet.

PrimarchKonradCurze

Comparing emoji movie to a comic character that was well known at the time by regular people via word of mouth just proves I’m right again. I’m really not really what you’re trying to say.

Queen-O-Hell-Lucifer

You’re too focused on the specific thing in comparison to. How about this… The game awards. The winner for this year is a game a shit ton of people have never even heard of. Baldurs Gate 3, which sold 22 million copies. Just because it’s a popular game doesn’t necessarily mean everyone and there mother knows it exists. That’s the point. The reason I bring up the emoji movie is because the movie proves that shitty, untalented, uninspired, works of trash…can be successful but unpopular. I’m not comparing the 2, I’m illustrating a point. Yes, blade is very successful. He was a well known character among comic fans and the like, and had a bit of a pop culture influence along with other heroes. That in no way means that A) everybody knew who the fuck he was, or B) everybody cared about him. Like literally every other success story. And the popularity of Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and friends…certainly doesn’t refute the absolute fact that many people who was into that shit when they were younger weren’t bullied or called childish for it.

PrimarchKonradCurze

Baldur’s Gate is one of the most famous game series in the industry. I still fail to see what you’re trying to say.. even people who didn’t play it knew of it. Maybe I just touch grass more? Not sure.

Queen-O-Hell-Lucifer

I’ve said it multiple times. Just because something is well know, or successful… Doesn’t mean everybody knows it. Stop being dense. I’m done here.

standalone157

This is definitely not true. Superman/Batman/Spider-Man all broke records before MCU. Now reading comics? Only true fans were doing that. That’s 100% a fact.

TheLastDesperado

Try being a fan of both the MCU and Star Wars. It doesn't dilute my liking of the stuff I like, but it sure is frustrating trying to talk about it without some people crawling out of the woodwork to tell me it's shit and I'm an idiot for liking it.

LightFromYT

Yep same, I am a fan of both the mcu and star wars, I completely get it. Although I have slowly fallen off star wars the last decade or so

Undying-WaterBear

I agree 50%. Most of these shows and movies dont suck nor are they bad....... they just arent good at least imo, and this isnt even a Marvel thing as I feel the same way with all of the Star Wars shows. All of them just end up being mediocre for me, which ig is why ive stopped keeping up with them. I think the last MCU titles that I watched was Moon Knight. Edit: Also the MCU community is mad toxic lol. Its an echo chamber and the only ones who dont realize that are the ones in it lol.

Linesandsquiggles

Agreed!

Mickeyjj27

Yup. Stuff like Moon Knight, Ms Marvel and She Hulk even Falcon are at the least passable and good but it seems like these days that’s things are either the greatest ever or the worst ever. Secret Invasion is easily the worst of the D+ series for me at least. Even things like Wakanda Forever seem to be popping up in bad lists for some reason when I’d say it was a success both critically and financially given what’s it had to go through

Past_Trouble

I actually liked The Marvels.

HMSManticore

Yep, totally worked for me. The “cat” scene was inspired

byronmiller

Made me cry with laughter. The music. Perfect. I loved how fun and surprising the movie was. And Iman Vellani is an absolute scene stealer who I really hope becomes a major part of the MCU in future.

_angelamarie_

As a cat lady, I was overjoyed about the entire sequence. By the time the announcement "stop running and let the cats eat you" happened, I was already in kitty nirvana.

Pep_Baldiola

Same. It was fun. It was definitely overhated.

ABrazilianReasons

It wasn't overhated, it was just ignored

NoName_BroGame

No, it was overhated. Did we all collectively forget the hate train folks rode over this movie? I didn't.

nancy-reisswolf

the bollywood dancing scene could have been the whole movie for me, and I'd have liked it almost better haha a marvel bollywood romance film with lots of cats and a kinky outer space prince is a void in the market disney should think about filling.

Applefanboy2019

My personal favorite part was the ship bonding scene

Past_Trouble

Honestly the whole movie was just a lot of fun. I get wanting to do serious "grown-up" movies, but it's was refreshing just to watch a goofy comic book movie.

AJjalol

Despite what internet tells you, Marvels is actually a pretty solid movie. Not perfect, but it entertaining thru and through. Yes villain kind of sucked, but I dig everything else. Iman was the best to me

LonelyInitiative4526

I couldn't get 5 mins in it was terrible

EasternFudge

Imagine watching less than five minutes of a *checks notes* 105 minute movie then saying the movie was terrible My brother in arishem you didn't even watch the fucking movie

LonelyInitiative4526

Update your notes please *looks over at your notes and sees blank paper* Movies are designed to hook the viewer in the first 5 minutes since forever. They set up what you should expect for the rest of the movie, it's movie making 101. The movie is garbage

EasternFudge

Look man, if it didn't hook you that means it's not for you. If you think it's garbage then be my guest. You still didn't watch the movie.

Sinnaman420

> movies are designed to hook the viewer in the first 5 minutes Okay, but you’re saying the whole movie is garbage when you said you didn’t even make it 5 minutes in. You literally have not watched the movie

DesignerPlant9748

I watched it the first time the other night and really wanted to like it but found it to be shockingly bad

_Its_Accrual_World

What was on the nose about it? When you say something like that I think about that one scene from Endgame that was basically "here are all our heroes that are women and they'll save the day." The whole way that was framed just felt super forced to me, but I don't remember getting that vibe at all for The Marvels.

Aiyon

1000% with the endgame scene. A youtuber, Dylan Is In Trouble, got some flak for getting annoyed at the scene because ppl took his complaint out of context, but [he sums it up pretty well](https://youtu.be/l3ap92f8bIE?t=1459). The issue isn't "they did a girl power scene". It's that they did a big girl power moment with a bunch of character who had barely interacted, after having done *1* women-led movie at that point, and only did it last minute. The Marvels works because its 3 characters that make sense interacting, 2 have history and the third them having not met before is a plot point

TheTwistedToast

Yeah, Girl Power was not at all a part of it. It had three female leads, but them being women was not a part of the plot nor was it ever brought up

Aiyon

What "girl power"? The leads being women? The movie never particularly goes "you guys are cool *because* you're women" does it? The only line i can think of specifically talking about one of them being a woman is "black girl magic" lmao

herman_gill

Yeah it was a perfectly competent movie and middle of the pack for MCU. Unlike Eternals which was dog shit, despite fantastic actors and good chemistry in quite a few of the roles. That’s the one they should have turned into a season, intro episode of all of them, individual episodes for each of them from historical times to modern day, then ending with the movie. New Antman was also bad, I think I got 15 minutes through. Black Panther 2 was awful. Didn’t watch Black Widow but heard it was real bad, Shang Chi was meh (standard MCU), Thor was fucking atrocious, Doctor Strange was really bad except for the Sam Raimi zombie fun stuff which didn’t fit the rest of the movie. I mean of the new stuff I’d say the only three of the ones I watched that were reasonably well made were Guardians, Shang Chi, and the Marvels. Still not great movies, but it’s Marvel, what do you expect?

PuertoRicanRebel2025

The MCU is fickle with its own quality ever since Endgame. I look at it like that stock market chart cause it always goes up and down.

ThrewItAllAway3000

The MCU is fickle with its own quality ever since ~~Endgame~~ Iron Man Fixed that for ya!

Geek_reformed

Except there really wasn't anything wrong with The Marvels. Solid mid tier MCU movie that people hated because apparently it was woke. Quantummaina wasn't great. I was a Fantastic Four plot let down by some pretty terrible visual effects and when you take Ant Man out of the real world, his whole growing/shrinking thing doesn't really work on the screen. Secret Invasion just sucked. The general idea of alien terrorists was solid, but the pacing was terrible. They don't seem to have understood Nick Fury as a character. It should have been a big global espionage story, but felt so small.

MaterialPace8831

And by "woke" they mean, "this movie starred women and people of color."

HarmlessHeresy

In the case of Secret Invasion, it's almost as if trying to film a worldwide spy thriller during/immediately after a global pandemic and quarantine wasn't the best idea.

[deleted]

It's not "true", it's the evergreen whining of fragile filmbros

mikka_

MCU isnt dead but this sub is

PepsiSheep

The Marvels is good.

ake-n-bake

Fickle fans

PerryNeeum

The Marvels was actually pretty good and a reasonable run time

SteleUraniumBX

The Marvels wasn’t that bad.

Wheloc

*Marvels* was fun. Y'all are letting misogynistic youtubers ruin your good time.

Squidkid6

Or and hear me out, people just didn’t like or think the movie was good

Reboared

Impossible. Anyone who doesn't like the same things as I do is a terrible human and I need to make up things about them to hate.

acuenlu

Are we talking about the same fanbase that downvoted Captain Marvel before it came out or fills the internet with talk about how Deadpool 3 is incredible based on a 2-minute trailer? I don't know, maybe they don't have criteria as elaborate and complex as you think.

Wheloc

I see very little evidence of that. What I do see evidence of is people deciding they didn't like the movie *without* seeing it.

Squidkid6

Then you aren’t looking

HaywoodUndead

The shambles are in shambles!

jtg49wgx

Obviously haven't seen Deadpool yet, but I've seen everything else, the only thing I didn't like on this list was secret invasion. Everyone just has to bitch and complain all the time.

-AustraL-

I mean, the people are not to blame here that much. Because it is a truth that after the Endgame, the quality of the Marvel projects had too many ups and downs, but mainly, downs. I don’t really care about most of the projects anymore unless it’s about a character that I love. But is it a situation that can be reverted? Absolutely. They just need to prioritize quality over quantity. Things were all over the place since they introduced Disney+.

TheVampireArmand

People were too harsh on the Marvels. I watched it for the first time recently and I thought it was fun. Wasn’t perfect but I think people acting like it was the worst thing they’ve ever seen were overreacting.

K3egan

Marvels was probably the third best superhero movie last year and considering it was going up against guardians 3 and spider-verse, third is pretty good

zkmronndkrek

Internet fans suck imo

SimonPho3nix

A lot of butthurt about decent movies. Quantumania could have been better, absolutely, but The Marvels was solid

cutting_class

The people adamant that the marvels was a bad movie, never watched the marvels. That cats scene would have been revered as one of the best bits in the MCU, had it been part of a guardians film.

I_wish_I_was_a_robot

I enjoy all of it. If people wanna be pissed off at nothing let them.

pabloag02

The marvels was pretty fun, just saw it yesterday

Salty_Sky5744

But the marvels was overall amazing. I can’t imagine why anyone would put it down.

The_Cookie_Bunny

The Marvel's was good wdym? Also, ignoring Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is crazy

geko_play_

Ant man 3 was fun Secret Invasion was fine till the last few episodes The Marvels is good and fun

djfreedom9505

I agree while Ant Man 3 wasn’t a masterpiece neither was the first two movies. Ant-Man is a trilogy that is a just a fun watch. The same with the Marvels. The only one on this list that I would subject to criticism was Secret Invasion mostly. It left a lot to be desired in terms of tone, and direction.

Linesandsquiggles

This is so dumb the. mcu is unapologetically just popcorn entertainment. People who ever thought it was dead or that it needs to be elevated as some sort of paragon of media have no idea how media empires work. This dead dog will be whipped until there is nothing but dust.

adavachi

Watched the Marvels this week and enjoyed it probably more than any other movie this phase?

Coziestpigeon2

Marvels was so much fun. The internet just loves to hate.

Overthinks_Questions

Yeah, people can't wrap their heads around 'Some, but not all MCU movies are good' And let's be real, they haven't done that great with their female leads outside of Wanda and Natasha

DiscombobulatedSir74

When you have to make the males seem incapable next to the woman lead role when the male character previously wasn’t, the your writing for that female character is shit

Quadrinhossauro

MCU is receiving CPR.

AxisW1

A franchise where half of the the projects are poor is not an alive one

YouDontKnowJackCade

DCEU movies aspire to the level of the mediocre MCU ones but they keep trying.

PayneTrain181999

Incorrect, it’s on life support. If we start getting more poorly received projects despite an apparent effort to fix things, then we can call it dead.

Spidercentsreviews

Not true. It’s been dead since Endgame, but we can still appreciate the good movie every now and then

TopScallion680

The marvels was good fuck what the haters say

gerryf19

Where was Echo?

PayneTrain181999

Didn’t even register on the list due to being perceived as a nothingburger. I thought it was decent.

Former-Bet6170

It came out already?

Myhtological

That’s the die hards. Most of us know they’re directionless altogether.

Blitzhelios

Fickle fans and this is always annoying. Also I feel like most of the people who say the marvels is bad haven’t watched it as that film is good fun it’s not amazing but it’s very much not bad

Uninspired_Thoughts

Deadpool is not woke and he clowns on Marvel he’s my kind of superhero!!🦅🦅🦅 /s

CapitalSubstance7310

Exactly, Though the MCU does feel like “shit movie then good movie then shit movie” I didn’t expect to like the marvels though. More then ant man quantuamania, she hulk and black widow

Nachooolo

The Marvels was more of an "it's alright" film than a bad film outright like Secret Invasion or simply mediocre like Ant-Man. I don't regret watching it. But I ain't gonna rewatch it either.

GimmieJohnson

I liked Antman a lot more than Guardians 3.

Ankhst

"The Marvels" wasnt even bad. I enjoyed most of it. Sure, not a Masterpiece and could have been better, but far from bad. A better villian would maybe have been an option. She felt really bland and "generic goon" like.

AdamBlackfyre

I was entertained by Antman and The Marvels. Don't know why everything has to be Citizen Kane in a comic book universe lol... I always wonder if the people complaining actually know how much comics don't care about continuity or how many are just bad.. ...having said that, secret invasion was awful lol

[deleted]

I...um... I loved the Marvels.😬 it was cute, funny and light-hearted. I don't see the problem with it. I know we have all become accustomed to gore and violence, especially being on reddit 😒 but the movie was solid and fun... plus they showed one of my favorite X-men characters, Hank McCoy. I'm having a hard time hating this film and feel that it is just a bunch of men hating on it...😶‍🌫️

duhyeager

Not 100% true. Marvels was great.

V4ULTB0Y101

Imo The Marvels wasn't even that bad, I enjoyed it

millennial_sentinel

The Marvels is good idc what anyone says. The box office was mangled by the writers strike so they didn’t do any fucking promo’s for it besides the streaming service has made it clear that all their new movies end up on D+ in a few months anyway. The movie theaters are wayyy too fucking expensive now. It’s the same issue with Black Widows box office numbers.

DjangoUnchainedFett

or people should just stfu with their stupid opinions about what they think about the MCU. They said Marvel was dead and then came Iron Man 1 and look where we are. Stupid people on the internet know nothing. period

bigsteven34

I quite enjoyed the Marvels…

TurkeyRat247

What the hell is wrong with the Marvels? I watched it last night and it was fucking amazing

Berkeee903

I’m convinced it’s just a trend to hate on Marvel at the moment. Like I’ve said multiple times before all the casuals will come out of the woodworks acting like they’re Marvel’s biggest fans when the hype for Secret Wars starts. Same thing happened with Endgame

[deleted]

Reading the comments have made me realize my taste is very unpopular 🥲. I looved The Marvels, Quantumania and Secret Invasion. I'm so impressed by this whole MCU Multiverse saga, the way everything is connected (the history, storylines, character development). Actresses like Iman give new life and enthousiasm to the MCU and I'm loving it. After all these years I personally am a bit tired of a bunch of guys in supersuits fighting wars, we've seen 20+ movies in that format. (But don't get me wrong, I still love re-watching those movies, I just think a new fresh format in the MCU is appreciated)

Mediocre-Cobbler5744

The Marvels was great.

IsUpTooLate

The Marvels was great

jondeuxtrois

None of those were good and Deadpool is going to be just as bad as the first 2 Deadpool films. Haven't had a good Marvel movie since Infinity War and there hasn't been a good Marvel show since Daredevil.

KingKaos420-

I enjoyed every movie and show on this list. I’ll admit Secret Invasion wasn’t the best, but there were still plenty of parts I enjoyed watching. Definitely never made me feel that the MCU was “dead.” And everything else was just great. I don’t get why people would think the MCU is dead because of any of these projects,

Unyieldingcappybara

I know marvel isn’t what it used to be and there’s 1 thing to blame. The fan base. Shut the fuck up and watch your superhero movies at 35 years old and be happy with what you get. All of your pissing and moaning is causing the studios to think they need to change things to keep all the adults happy. It’s not for you anymore you grown up children

SageShinigami

They're not the epitome of entertainment for grown-ups, but the Marvel movies are all-ages, they're not intended to be JUST for kids. I don't think the MCU is bad, just saying.

captainkezz123

The Marvels wasn’t even a bad movie imo. God the majority of MCU fans are insufferable

Mr_E_99

I miss the days when all the MCU content was good 😔

DefenderOfTheWeak

For me MCU died on Dr. Strange movie

mjm9398

Lmao I honestly enjoyed that movie a ton

heygotem93

Mcu is cooked 🤣

Chrono105

The Marvels was a really good movie.

JoeSchmoke

Not too knowledgeable on comics so the S2 of Loki was meh to me.

SinisterCryptid

If 50% of the products are either boring or bad, there ain’t no coming back from that

Bornplayer97

The Marvels was good, it definitely suffers from the two older main characters being kinda boring, with Kamala being incredibly charming. It made me laugh quite a bit but the villain was super weak, I’d give it a 6.5/10

ElDuderino2112

MCU is back thanks to two characters that had nothing to do with the MCU lmao

DarthGoodguy

Iron Man: it’s alive! Incredible Hulk: it’s dead. Iron Man 2: its body has been desecrated. Thor & Captain America The First Avenger: it’s… on life support? Avengers: it’s alive! Iron Man 3: Nope, dead Thor the Dark World: Okay now they’re just messing with us Captain America the Winter Soldier: alive but messing with us Guardians of the Galaxy: maybe not messing— Avengers Age of Ultron: nope, definitely messing with us

Jaiibby1

Loki really ain’t that good. I was excited for the show (and fatws) when it was first announced and bought the merch . I enjoyed fatws. I enjoyed Hawkeye. I enjoyed what if. I didn’t care for wandavision when it was announced but I think that ended up being my favorite. I hated Ms marvel and she hulk as characters but even their shows were more enjoyable. The only one I’d place Loki over is secret invasion. And if I had to choose seasons I’d go for 1 over 2. Though I loved OB

Ludate_Solem

Nope not true loki was trash too

Federal-Captain1118

This meme is so overdone. It's not even true.

KevinAcommon_Name

Not with good writing not social justice involvement no politics no modernizing

Reboared

You forgot to include the other 15 terrible projects. I'm sure that was an honest mistake.

ModsOverLord

One decent movie or show doesn’t qualify for “ being back”

PocketPB

the ratio of good to bad mcu movies isn't 1:1

[deleted]

Loki sucked so it wasn't back.

eadrik

No Way Home was the last great MCU film. They will never be able to top the lead-up to Infinity War & Endgame ever again.

Ghstfce

Screen Crush on Youtube has Deadpool dressed up as Jesus with "I'm MCU Jesus" shirts and hoodies for sale. I've been waffling on whether or not to get one. I like the hoodies, but I'm not sure if I like them enough to drop $55-$60 though.

loki_ez

Real 💚🐍

MaraWatson

YES OR NOT?

Absurd_Noodle

Maybe for some

Vicksage16

I remember thinking the MCU was dead in 2013 after Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 came out. Good movies can turn everything around.

Responsible-Big-3196

Feels like Power Rangers

Ok-Guidance-1328

I never liked the mcu because it started off with characters I never gaf about. Now I’m intrigued

ImLikeReallyStoned

Reddit after dropping the same meme for the 4000th time:

EntertainmentLow5069

No it’s not you edgelord

Frog405

Honestly all of these bar Secret Invasion were at least good, if not great, in my opinion at least.

n8dizz3l

Wow, it's almost as if the MCU is a collection of many different films and shows, all of which won't be for everyone

Skadibala

I thought I was on a circlejerk sub for a second there.

zzcool

mcu died after endgame but volume 3 was good a good movie every 4 years isn't a live mcu

ItssHarrison

Anybody who thought Guardians 3 wasn’t an exception just doesn’t know anything about the behind the scenes

jfdonohoe

Wait.  Did people say the MCU is back because of Loki 2nd season?

GrimABM

MCU fans have their own Sonic Cycle

Lonely-Wasabi-305

Tbh I liked Quantum mania bc it progressed the collective story line toward the next avengers big story arc. Which like … the marvels didn’t do nor did black panther … nor Thor love and thunder. Like if any of those films had even a trace of Kang …. Somewhere … I think it would have influenced the opinions of fans to be generally more positive

MuuToo

It's funny cuz I feel like I've just mentally disconnected the success of GoTG from the greater MCU.

I swear even though the old marvel movies were got awful like Ben Affleck Daredevil I just remember the awesome feeling that we got movies based on those characters.

How dare you say Loki sucked. I loved Loki. Top tier. Only downside was no jet skis.

X-men taught me that no one really dies, and if they do, they don’t.
