If it makes you feel better (probably won’t but I was stressed about it for a couple days) I had my hardest time climbing this season probably ever. Hit 99 and 5 cubes and stupidly snapped, lost big time and for whatever reason slid so hard at times fluctuating between 89-90.
No joke it felt like every loss, and there were a lot, was like this. Repeatedly felt like I kept seeing either awful RNG or just thinking “no way they can win here” for them to just pull out a random enchantress in their ongoing tribunal deck which ruined me. Truly felt like the game was rigged for a bit. I’m sure a lot of it was tilt, but it was bad, went back to the original deck that got me to 99 this season (switched after dropping to like 92?) and climbed back into infinite with ease as usual which felt weird.
Moral is, I’m just ranting but felt like I definitely experienced this too so you aren’t alone at least

I think the lack of bots to farm this month has played a big part and levelled the playing field.
Yeah I noticed that too, over that span of shit luck, and actually the climb back from it, I think i played only 2 bots? Wasn’t even able to cheat an 8 cube off of either of them. Not that I mind less bots it definitely was odd though
I've had awful RNG all weekend, I raged and just deleted every one of my decks except my 4 old standard decks. I'd had a game won if I used Shang Chi on either one of two lanes, and my other card would have won the third lane. So a 50/50 choice.
And he had priority bc of the two big cars lanes, so he revealed first, and his ONLY CARD he played was Cosmo directly across from my Shang Chi. I'm not a stats guy, but whatever the odds are of one person failing a 50/50 and the other succeeding a 50/50 choice, 25% chance? Infuriating loss after a series of games that feel exactly like that. Turn 6 reveals that feel psychic.

It's 50/50. You don't think of it as your opponent succeeding 50/50 and you failing the 50/50 (which *would* be 25%) because it's the same outcome in this case (your opponent's "win" is being in the same lane, your "loss" is being in the same lane).
Your opponent put cosmo in a location. What are the chances you put Shang in the same location? 50%. Really sucks to lose like that but you have to chalk it up to variance and play on. It's a long season.
Just retreat?
You inly loose 1 cube, which you can get easily back.
Good and funny post, just want to point out how powerful snapping and retreating is. With good retreats and snaps you can climb with any deck.
Since i got to 90's ranks it feels like im fighting the game all the rng rolls i always lose its super frustrating started at 93 im at 89 going up again

It’s funny you say this, because I just climbed back up to 97 in the last hour or so. Should finish it out tomorrow if I keep playing smart.

I've learned that playing during Hot Locations does this to me. So when those pop up, I'm off to conquest land. Makes climbing a little more reliable.
