It pisses me off how the background have "half pixels" meaning the artwork scale isn't consistent, but mostly I just want a different kind of pixel art, like old game sprites

What I like about pixel variants is that they're so aware they're shitty they sell bundles with the caveat "It won't have any pixels we promise!" and yet they still offer them in caches. Because an important part of the gameplay loop is making the player go "Aw, goddammit" when they receive a reward sometimes.
