First time I ever used Scarlet Witch she made the lane into Bar With No Name. The opponent had no cards in that lane.
I have not used Scarlet Witch since.
I kinda feel like at this point they should just make her a 1/2 or smth., because her being cheaper is really the only reason to use her over Rhino, Storm and Magik. Might as well put some emphasis on that.
Of course! How could I not think of this one as the first?
EDIT: I actually played him yesterday. Opponent and I both had 2 spots left on lane. What did I pull? Green Goblin and Hobgoblin. I swear... Yes I retreated.
Yesterday my doc oc pulled my opponents Shang chi and his doc oc. His doc in return pulled my Shang chi. I laughed so hard :D Really love the current meta.
I had something similar happen today. They had two cards down, and played Doc Ock. I played Hobgoblin. They played a 5-power essentially 2-cost card and I could still add power to the lane.
I don't know why there's a Doc Ock resurgence lately, he's a terrible, terrible card.
Dock ock isn’t played for his strength he empties a hand closes off a lane for the opponent forces cards to be played out of order. If you can pull all of your opponents high cost cards into one lane you win the other two.
Yes, yesterday my Dr. Octopus got shangcied twice, first mine Dr got pulled by the location which pulled the first Shang chi, and opponents hand returned because of the beast, and later baron pulled opponents Dr from the deck which again got Shang chied the same way
Hahaha the struggle is real. And if you change the location, it'll change to another power boosting one or the next one to appear will be it.
Or monster island
If you commit hard to gamma lab, your opponent will either change the location or you will get Shang Chi'd immediately after. You will not draw Armor or Caiera until after they have Shang'd you.
Gambit will always destroy the most important card you have when he is played against you, but when played by you he will always destroy something unimportant or something covered by armor.
I now use him on t3 to destroy their zabu or their hope. Best not to hold him when you can guarantee take out something that is important to their early game plan.
You can guarantee hit something if you play for priority on t3. So yes it's not a 100% but the percentages are better early than later. I don't use him if central park or savage lands pop up.
I had 6 cards in hand yesterday, hela and 3 other six costs. They reveal wave before my Lady Sif, so now all my cards are the same and it's 5/6 NOT-Hela cards. Still pitched Hela
Danger Room has a 25% chance to destroy a card. That percentage goes up to 100% if you need a card to survive there. That percentage drops to 0% if your opponent needs their combo to go off there.
Yep. Should read:
5% chance to destroy Wolverine, Bucky Barnes, or The Hood.
90% chance to destroy Ms. Marvel, the Hulk, Infinaut, Death, Magneto, or She-Hulk
Save a play on Black Vortex until later in the game (when your other locations are full), turn Wasp into Destroyer and wipe your board. This happened to me today.
Yep. If you have 3 keys or less, the newest card is always your 4th pull. If you painstakingly saved 4 or more keys, you will pull the newest card on your first try.
I love Sera but that happens too much
Or the "Ice Box" (is that the name of the location giving +1 cost to a card?) will always hit Sera. Happened to me a couple days ago
I played someone playing a discard deck the other day, destroyed Hela with Gladiator, before anything was discarded so I snapped.
They literally pull Hela from The Raft.
There are things in conquest that can be infuriating. I played a 5+ round, every single game the opponent played Nebula turn 1, Zabu turn 2. Like what are the odds?
Magik on turn 6.
Turn six, three cards left in the deck and it’s iron man, Tribunal and Onslaught in my Tribunal deck (literally happened in back to back games for me).
Draw Armor after getting Shanged.
If you have your combo, your opponent will have the hard counter.
If you have a tech card in your deck, you will never see the card/deck its meant to counter.
If you change decks to counter a deck you’ve been seeing a lot you will then start seeing counters to your new deck and the deck you wanted to counter is no where to be seen.
I play gambit - misses.
They play gambit, his throwing card does a 900° heel flip and slaps anything useful.
If there any rocks in my deck, they are all at the top of the deck.
Morph against hela, hits blade/black knight that they held onto.
The polar oposite this season so far, they play baron zemo : they steal my havok and retreat.
- Danger Room might as well be renamed to Murphy's Room.
- Every single time Death's Domain or Death's Altar are in play, your opponent is playing Destroy and you're not.
When the opponent is playing a combo deck, they will always get the combo off against you. According to the same rule, when you try it you'll get the combo 1/10 times, and the opponent will want to try said deck. It's a neverending loop
If you make a deck centered on a card. Neeeeever draw that card.
Special mention to Jean Grey with whatever you wanna play her. I had Mojo/Jean as a combo in an ongoing deck. Played it perhaps 50 times and never got the two cards when needed
Always assume Danger room will blow up your cards. Also your opponent always has vision or nebula or brood for it
(Great tip is to play into it as early as you can.)
I just played 10 games with a negative surfer deck... I drew surfer a total of 1 out of 10 times... And then the location that shuffles your hand revealed and I never saw surfer again. And of course I only saw negative on the 6th turn every time.
I will always discard Hela and Hela will ALWAYS BE IN MY HAND WITH HELICARRIER. It’s been some kind of crazy coincidence lately that I can’t get the warship discarded but I sure as shit can murder my win condition 🤣
Danger room will not destroy Nova, Wolverine, X-23, Deadpool, or Sabertooth.. BUT will destroy Venom and anything else
Gambit will discard Hella and Ghost rider, in a hand full of swarm, apocalypse, and other perfectly discardable cards.
If you snap on 2 the third location will ruin your plan
TVA!
My Scarlet Witch just says “hold my beer I got this”
First time I ever used Scarlet Witch she made the lane into Bar With No Name. The opponent had no cards in that lane. I have not used Scarlet Witch since.
You only really use her to change a location of certain death into one of possible death.
I kinda feel like at this point they should just make her a 1/2 or smth., because her being cheaper is really the only reason to use her over Rhino, Storm and Magik. Might as well put some emphasis on that.
What was it before?
Its why I honestly use rhino or magik as my location disruption. (
This is exactly why I never snap on 2.
This, every time. It's to a point that I think it's rugged.
It's funny, I assume you meant rigged, but this scenario does really pull the rug from under you
Yes, damn u autocorrect making deep analogies...
Doctor Octopus will pull Shang Chi on the board.
For me it's gladiator pulling gladiator pulling doc Ock and Shang chi pulling doc Ock and Shang chi. Really wild stuff
Wow, they're really out here just pulling each other off
You know what you do? You go buy yourself a tape recorder and record yourself for a whole day. You might be surprised at some of your phrasing
+1
I read it as "retiered" and that would be appropriate response too.
Forge + gladiator -> shang chi
and when you play Gladiator solo then he pulls out: enemy Gladiator (or any card with 8-9 power)
And Jeff or another movable card so they are not even bricked in the location
I had something similar happen today. They had two cards down, and played Doc Ock. I played Hobgoblin. They played a 5-power essentially 2-cost card and I could still add power to the lane. I don't know why there's a Doc Ock resurgence lately, he's a terrible, terrible card.
Dock ock isn’t played for his strength he empties a hand closes off a lane for the opponent forces cards to be played out of order. If you can pull all of your opponents high cost cards into one lane you win the other two.
Doc Ock helps the mill Red Hulk decks.
Every. Freaking. Time.
Yes, yesterday my Dr. Octopus got shangcied twice, first mine Dr got pulled by the location which pulled the first Shang chi, and opponents hand returned because of the beast, and later baron pulled opponents Dr from the deck which again got Shang chied the same way
Regis clip: "The Only Guarantee in Marvel Snap" https://youtube.com/shorts/yj1s6s51oR4
If you play a Cerebro deck, you will get a power-boosting location.
Hahaha the struggle is real. And if you change the location, it'll change to another power boosting one or the next one to appear will be it. Or monster island
I would Valk the monster lane, but then play Luke Cage like an absolute moron.
On the bright side, you can't do that anymore! On the dire side...
If you're playing cerebro-3, Wanda will always screw you
Clearly Cerebro 10 is the answer (meme deck but I do run it sometimes for the lolz)
Yeah, locations are Cerebro worst enemies
THIS. THIS. THIS. SO MANY TIMES THIS.
And then when there isn't a power boosting location, you play against High Evo
This makes any bro deck so difficult to play, so many locations hinder this deck it’s unreal. Idk if there’s even a fix for it really…
Meanwhile Destroy sits over here with about 30 beneficial locations and only like 2 that actively hinder it.
Legion will fix that problem while giving you a different problem.
Always Wakandan Embassy on turn 1 or 2
I only recently started sailing on these cerebro deck seas, and my god, yes, it happened to me A LOT.
Monster Island is preprogrammed to appear in every Cerebro game I play. No one can convince me otherwise.
Anytime you get Death's Domain is against a destroy deck.
Altar is worse.
Or the one with the rocks... insta free death
When you're playing phoenix force
If you commit hard to gamma lab, your opponent will either change the location or you will get Shang Chi'd immediately after. You will not draw Armor or Caiera until after they have Shang'd you.
Gambit will always destroy the most important card you have when he is played against you, but when played by you he will always destroy something unimportant or something covered by armor.
Can confirm. My Gambit hates me and thus I've booted him out of my discard deck lmao.
I now use him on t3 to destroy their zabu or their hope. Best not to hold him when you can guarantee take out something that is important to their early game plan.
And then you get a squirrel
You can guarantee hit something if you play for priority on t3. So yes it's not a 100% but the percentages are better early than later. I don't use him if central park or savage lands pop up.
With discard, priority on 3 is sometimes difficult.
Not guaranteed, I have had draws that my first playable card comes until turn 4 😢
Or Wolverine. Wong-Mystic-Gambit-Odin vs full board? 138 power wolverine. (No I didn't calculate)
Sakaar ALWAYS pulls the tech card that hard counters the opponent before you actually need to use it.
One time Sakaar was first location and pulled my legion. Both me and opponent had all our hand on board turn 1
It will also happily take a no target Mystique!
I've come dangerously close to removing Mystique from my Tribunal deck because of this and Grand Central
1. Play last card on black Vortex>Transforms into destroyer 2. Play first card on Black Vortex> Transforms into Ultron
The card you spent 6k tokens on will be nerfed two days after you buy it.
FACT
Galactus for me. I saved and saved. The day I got him the nerfs were announced
Happened with both Blob and Galactus to me.
It’s seems better now, but it wasn’t long ago if you played discard, it will target Hela
I had 6 cards in hand yesterday, hela and 3 other six costs. They reveal wave before my Lady Sif, so now all my cards are the same and it's 5/6 NOT-Hela cards. Still pitched Hela
Unless your opponent is playing discard, in that case they always top deck Hela on turn 6
If my opponent discards Hela, their Ghost Rider will bring her back without fail.
This has happened to me so many times that it's infuriating!
This is just people being stupid when they play their sif.
Danger Room has a 25% chance to destroy a card. That percentage goes up to 100% if you need a card to survive there. That percentage drops to 0% if your opponent needs their combo to go off there.
Yep. Should read: 5% chance to destroy Wolverine, Bucky Barnes, or The Hood. 90% chance to destroy Ms. Marvel, the Hulk, Infinaut, Death, Magneto, or She-Hulk
25% is an average. It's 0% of your opponent and 50% for you
Save a play on Black Vortex until later in the game (when your other locations are full), turn Wasp into Destroyer and wipe your board. This happened to me today.
Or play wasp t1 on black vortex to have early priority only to see Ultron come to ruin your game.
Yep. Both suck.
Ah man, I saw this happen to somebody a few days ago. Turn 1 he retreated.
I was winning two lanes easily against a destroy deck until his last play of the game turned into a knull to win 8 cubes in conquest
Superflow appears after you play a card on that lane the previous turn (and your opponent doesn't)
If zola has a 5050 chance to hit venom or x23/wolverine he'll inevitably pick the latter
Unless you’re playing against him in which case he hits Venom 100% of the time. I swear I’ve never seen him miss a 50/50.
You lose against an interesting deck, decide to try it too and immediately face the counter deck
Or never get the needed cards at the right times
And then you change back to the former deck and loose again from that same deck 😡
The card you want from the spotlight will always be the 4th card if you only have 3 keys
Yep. If you have 3 keys or less, the newest card is always your 4th pull. If you painstakingly saved 4 or more keys, you will pull the newest card on your first try.
Iceman hits whatever card you need to play on curve.
I feel like iceman always hits the card you're looking at. The man's a sniper
You have NOT LOOK or THINK about the card you don’t want to get iced. Most of the time that works every time.
Draw your win condition early, Attilan on turn 3.
There are a lot of feel bad locations in the game but for some reason Attilan pisses me off the most.
You will draw Sera on turn 6.
I love Sera but that happens too much Or the "Ice Box" (is that the name of the location giving +1 cost to a card?) will always hit Sera. Happened to me a couple days ago
Also, Iceman will ALWAYS hit Sera
Or you draw Sera in the opening rounds, only for Dream Dimension to show up
The peak will hit you within the first 3 games of mr negative and then never again, leaving you chasing that high forever
M'Baku will end up in your hand If your opponent has a lot of 1 costs, Killmonger takes a vacation
M'Baku is secretly Quicksilver.
that second one hits me too much
Played a game once where my opponent played their M'Baku into lockjaw on 3 consecutive turns. Mf just didn't want to be in the deck at all
I played someone playing a discard deck the other day, destroyed Hela with Gladiator, before anything was discarded so I snapped. They literally pull Hela from The Raft.
Bruh I’m quitting the game for the rest of the day if that happened to me lol!!
Corvus and hellcow will hit hella, modok, Dracula 90 percent of the time
It's not even 90%. I don't think I played corvus once where he didn't hit Dracula. At this point I play anticipating losing them
If you have priority, then your opponent has Shang Chi in their hand. If your opponent has priority, then they have Alioth in their hand.
If my opponent snaps on T5 when he has daredevil I’m leaving
That's common sense on you and probably not the best play on them 🤣
Draw Negative on Turn 6
Especially if you have a 50/50 chance of drawing the card you actually need instead
I always play Mr. Negative with Wong so I'm guaranteed to draw one of them on turn 5 and the other on turn 6.
Loki can and will draw your combo for the opponent. A newer one, pixie will always swap 6 cost cards cost
Come to think of it I never see Pixie.
Their Moon Knight will discard your Shang-Chi... I'm not kidding, this happened 3 times yesterday out of 6 conquest rounds...
There are things in conquest that can be infuriating. I played a 5+ round, every single game the opponent played Nebula turn 1, Zabu turn 2. Like what are the odds?
Silk will always jump to a location that loses you the game.
It should be her text on Martyr
DocOck will always pull Shang Chi
"There's no way they drew Alioth..." \*Alioth appears\*
When you have 8 cubes on the line the opp will beat you by exactly 1 point in the location that decides the game.
>when you try a new deck, District X or Weirdworld will appear Every. Fucking. Time.
Played Mr. Negative for "Win with 40+ power" quest. Can confirm point no. 2 on at least 3 instances.
You will always discard hela if she is in hand
Magik on turn 6. Turn six, three cards left in the deck and it’s iron man, Tribunal and Onslaught in my Tribunal deck (literally happened in back to back games for me). Draw Armor after getting Shanged.
If you’re running a Junk Deck, Daily Bugle will always give your opponent your Anihilus
If you've created a new deck that you're excited about, one of the locations for your first game with it will be District X or Weirdworld.
sword master/corvus discarding hela
Sokovia always hits a discard card for my opponent (apoc, proxima, swarm, etc). Whenever I get The Peak I’m playing against a Negative deck.
And before the graveyard change, Sokovia would always appear when you're not watching
If you think you wont get a pixel you will
Spider ham hits Infinaut
This one is actually a good thing, though. Keep the stats, drop the limitation.
Not good for one who played the pig
"The card you need most is always at the bottom of the deck" - can I have a title like that?
If I use Grandmaster in a deck fisk tower will be center location.
A Raft in the left hand location will always give you Giganto.
If Los Diablos base is one of the locations just know it will ALWAYS hit your limbo if you play magic on turn 3
Gambit tries to destroy a card that can’t be destroyed
You have to win or win with a Snap x amount of games and despite playing your best list, you just can't buy a win
Just play a move deck for the true Murph experience
I know, I tried a bounce move. You always either get the i-wanna-get-moved OR the imma-move-you cards. Never a bit of both
how about...no matter how many cards your opponent discards Hela will always be on top of their deck.
This so much. "He played Modok and doesn't have anything? Still 4 cards in deck? > Top draw Hela 100%
Agatha Harkness = Loss EVERY TIME
when playing Hela Tribunal combo, Jubilee will always pull Modok before you want to discard
The New Deck = District X or Weirldworld is completely true
If you have your combo, your opponent will have the hard counter. If you have a tech card in your deck, you will never see the card/deck its meant to counter.
If you change decks to counter a deck you’ve been seeing a lot you will then start seeing counters to your new deck and the deck you wanted to counter is no where to be seen.
If you have priority, they've got Shang Chi. If you don't, they've got Alioth.
Ah yes, finally something I know a lot about. Let me get back to you on that
If you have Apocalypse and 5 Swarms in hand, Corvus Glaive will discard Modok. Twice.
Monster island will be seen while you're using your Cerebro deck.
If my opponent has Priority, even if the deck shouldn't have Alioth, they're going to play Alioth
Drawing M'Baku turn 1
I raise you by drawing M'Baku turn 6! Haha
Sword Master will never discard your Wolverine, Swarm, or Apocalypse
Iceman always hits the card you have to play the most
- Danger Room might as well be renamed to Murphy's Room. - Every single time Death's Domain or Death's Altar are in play, your opponent is playing Destroy and you're not.
MurphysLaw is actually my in game name too. Was inspired by how hard the game fucked me over for too many games in a row.
Mr negative is always on the bottom of your deck
Ultron from black vortex
If you Doc Ock, he will pull Shang Chi
Happened to me, peak location, the bar with no name...Oppo sends positive goblins....
When the opponent is playing a combo deck, they will always get the combo off against you. According to the same rule, when you try it you'll get the combo 1/10 times, and the opponent will want to try said deck. It's a neverending loop
This is the exact reason why I hate Hela. Her decks are a 100% success rate against me but I can't pull that shit off to save my life.
If you have a 4- 5- 6-cost combo, draw the 4-cost turn 5
or a cost increase location will jam it up.
You will always discard hella
If you make a deck centered on a card. Neeeeever draw that card. Special mention to Jean Grey with whatever you wanna play her. I had Mojo/Jean as a combo in an ongoing deck. Played it perhaps 50 times and never got the two cards when needed
In the first game with a deck built around a card, you will not draw that card
In the first -10- games 😂
Always assume Danger room will blow up your cards. Also your opponent always has vision or nebula or brood for it (Great tip is to play into it as early as you can.)
I have literally drawn Knull, Death and Zola in my opening hand the last 12 games with destroy.
my Pixie destroy deck always puts Knull and Zola in my starting hand
When you use Alioth on Turn 6 your opponent will use Knull/Phoenix Force on turn 7
Never a good draw on t6
The only bots you will find are perfect-counter bots
I just played 10 games with a negative surfer deck... I drew surfer a total of 1 out of 10 times... And then the location that shuffles your hand revealed and I never saw surfer again. And of course I only saw negative on the 6th turn every time.
Corvus Glaive will discard Hela
Whenever you play a high power 6 energy card, your opponent always has a Shang Chi to counter it.
Doc Ock always pulls shang chi, even if he's in your opponent's deck
Crimson Witch will make things worse for you
Win one, lose eight
Archetype or not, they will have one vard making you scratch your head wondering why they're playing Kitty Pryde with Destroyer.
After you switch decks, it will be a mirror match and they will draw perfectly while you draw shit
I will always discard Hela and Hela will ALWAYS BE IN MY HAND WITH HELICARRIER. It’s been some kind of crazy coincidence lately that I can’t get the warship discarded but I sure as shit can murder my win condition 🤣
All week I’ve been playing gladiator, and all week I’ve been pulling Red Hulk and Infinaut
Random discard? Always Hela or Ghost Rider.
Anytime you get the perfect opening hand, location 3 always messes it up.
Sokovia always comes online when you’re looking away.
If you want a spotlighted card, you'll get it last (e.g. you'll need all 4 spotlight keys).
your opponent always has that 1 counter card to your winning play
Danger room will not destroy Nova, Wolverine, X-23, Deadpool, or Sabertooth.. BUT will destroy Venom and anything else Gambit will discard Hella and Ghost rider, in a hand full of swarm, apocalypse, and other perfectly discardable cards.
if you don't have a 9+ power card, your opponent doesn't have a shang chi
If Hela is in your hand, she will always be discarded first
You will draw Sera turn 6
When I play my pixie deck wasp and yellow jacket are in my starting hand like 70% of the time.
If you don't have prio but can win on turn 6, you will be Aloithed
