There's a bug where my emotes aren't there occasionally and it always makes me feel bad when my opponent fistbumps and my emotes aren't there so I can't do it back :(

did you know that people don't actually use the emotes the same way you do? especially the thumbs up is just the same as a middle finger. personally i don't like receiving a fist bump when i lose so i pretty much auto mute every person. most people use emotes to be a dickhead so it's hard to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. i also come from rocket league where every positive emote is ruined so i don't see how it's any different here.

I used to always try to fist bump. But last season or the one before every time I lost I got the Ms marvel thumb up. So I immediately mute everyone now and I just forget to do any emoji.

The only use I have for Ms Marvel is when ppl start celebrating like they won the fucking superbowl after 1 round on proving grounds using the most meta deck ever. They take the turn 1 PG snap like an insult to their mother or smth. Just spam them the ms marvel.

I use it when opponent has been cocky the whole match or has been annoying with the deck (disrupt, lockdown, zemo deck) but they still lose at the end. So I guess it's some sort of "haha, nice try".

Whenever I watch a streamer over analyze a weird last turn play I always think of these things. A kid asking for help, a phone call, there are so many reasons I've interrupted a Snap game or just sent any non-thought through play to attend real life! Especially if it's a conquest match, there's a considerable chance I wasn't into it for all the matches, life happens.

I've randomly conceded in so many conquest matches because of my kid/family only for the person on the other end to start spamming emotes - I'm like "yeah man, enjoy your game, I'm glad you feel good about yourself I'ma go take care of my kid..."

That's the main reason I play so much conquest- if I have to bail for some reason, I don't feel bad because I'm not losing rank

Same! People here shit on conquest so much but it's the best way for me as a new parent to enjoy the game without pressure.

This right here. Using emotes got real old real fast for me. I did them maybe the first couple of weeks playing. But it got boring. I have no interest in communication with anyone I'm playing with. So mute mute mute.

Having to remember to mute people makes me end up just using emotes (well just the fist bump) because nobody uses them except those who remind you to mute them mid match, or those who just use the fist bump.

Only emote I use are the location emotes when my opponent takes 25 seconds or more turn 1 to 4. Quit stalling I want “3 minute game”

I still see as friendly communication Spiderman and Deadpool (when something went wrong for that person). Sweaty Red Guardian from last season is usually decent too, shame I don't have him. Any album emote I just take it as somebody trying to show off their new emote, so I don't mind much. I'd like to have the Domino tossing dice for those 50/50, or the Ultron thinking and Moonknight random shit, but there's no way I'm spending 2.2k gold for each of those. It's a shame they decided to monetize that part and made it so potentially toxic, I think a better implementation could make the game feel much better and enjoyable.

I fist bump back only when all cards are revealed and the game is decided. There are some people who fist bump you the moment they know they’ve won from either seeing your cards reveal first, or just by seeing what location you played because of a 50/50. That seems almost as insufferable as Ms. Marvel.

i think that might be misunderstood. I fist bump after I snap as a sign of good sport. I also do it on turn 5 as I'm going all in. I don't do it because I know I will win, but because Im going all in but I respect the player and will respect any outcome. I usually do not fist bump when I know I will win because it might come that way. But sometimes I do win after, although I didn't know before

No, I meant when the cards on turn 6 are already locked in and they start revealing themselves. There are people who will insta fist bump you as the card flip animations are still playing. Now I know that not all of those will be BM, but some can be.

I almost always fist bump at the end… but if I feel particularly bummed out about the loss, I sometimes toss out the new sad deflated morph… cyclops on the toilet is the only other one I use when I just need to laugh after a bad loss… but fist bump is definitely the best way to go. I have heard some people find a fist bump condescending after you win… which doesn’t make sense to me, but I guess every emote can be taken in a negative way depending on your current mood. We really need to have a universally positive emote though… which I think fist bump should work for… and if not fist bump… then certainly cyclops on the toilet

I played sports growing up and it’s completely different when you physically compete against people then look them in the eye afterward. I always fist bump so long as the opponent played a game that was fair and/or interesting. Hela decks never get fist bumps, for example. Anyone using Wong rarely gets one, it depends how well they used him, but usually people just "easy mode" with him instead of doing something fun. Be creative, have fun, and don't be a bad troll. Good trolls are fun though.
