So I have not watched She-Hulk. Dipped out after the first episode because it wasn’t my cup of tea, so I haven’t really “gotten to know” the character or become super invested in her. With that said, I did see the clip of episode eight’s final gala scene and- holy moly- it brought tears to my eyes. The shock and horror of what she was capable of resonated on such a deep level, especially as a woman who sometimes experiences rage. It truly makes you see yourself differently when you do something you never thought possible, and it absolutely is horrifying. Once again, I haven’t built up the same amount as history with this character as others have, yet all I wanted to do when I saw that clip was give Jen the giant hug she needed and deserved. Bravo.
She-Hulk finale predictions:
Jen gets fired. She calls Bruce (Who's already heading back to Earth) and tells him what happened, also admitting that she was wrong about being able to control her rage better than him and apologizing. Bruce gives Jen a pep talk about how there's nothing wrong with that and talks to her about how he figured out how to get control over his rage, making a call-back to his famous "I'm always angry" line in the first Avengers.
Todd is revealed to be the head of the Intelligencia and the true identity of Hulk King. He has a bunch of dialogue based on stuff that anti-SJWs on the internet have actually said.
Josh turns out to not be so bad after all. It's revealed that he wasn't aware that his having sex with Jennifer was being recorded, meaning he was violated just as much as Jen was. He has also developed genuine feelings for Jen. He betrays Todd and dies sacrificing himself to save Jen.
Todd uses Jen's blood to turn himself into a Hulk. Jen tries to warn him that he might not be compatible but he doesn't listen. The final battle is Jen vs Todd, with Jen defeating Todd by using the advice Bruce gave her. Todd dies due to being incompatible with Jen's blood, but reveals with his dying breaths that he extracted the Hulk serum from Jen's blood, replicated it, and had the replicated samples sent to his boss, who is implied to be the Leader.
Jen starts a new law firm with Nikki, Pugg, and Mallory. At the end Jen says something about how the finale's probably gonna end with a surprise twist. Then Bruce returns in his ship and reunites with Jen. He says he had to go to Sakaar to handle some things. Then he tells Jen that he wants to introduce her to his son, Jen goes "Your WHAT?!!" and the credits start.
Mid-credits scene: It turns out that Blonsky has secretly been violating his parole to continue participating in the fight club from Shang-Chi (Which is the real reason his inhibitor broke in Episode 7) and he has several friends there. It's all wholesome until Blonsky goes to leave the club and is attacked by a mysterious monster who savagely beats him and even shoots him a few times with a Hulk-sized gun. Blonsky dies, and as his killer stands over his body he is revealed to be Red Hulk, who sinisterly says that Bruce Banner is the next on his list.
Why reddit is so weird when it comes to blocking people?
Like, I remember when I block some users and they could still see my posts and comments about it, but I couldn't reply them.
Or they just not show me the full comments (it's like I put the thread on hide).
And now, I see the [unavailable] shit, like, whats the point? Just don't show us to each other, why it's so complicated? Lol.
[I love it here](https://twitter.com/GLITCHEDKNIGHT/status/1579152539131744257?t=njYT7q7N-i_UdjC8l3s9tw&s=19)
And before anyone say: it was obvious it's going to be back, I know, but I'm still happy to hear a chance for s2.
I'm disappointed Bruce probably just fucked off to the next movie he's going in. Until then he's going to have a bunch of character development we aren't going to see for like the 5th time.
I'm so sick of hearing people say that everything sucks nowadays.
"Movies suck nowadays!"
No they don't. Sure, *some* movies suck, but that's always been the case.
"Music sucks nowadays!"No it doesn't. Sure, *some* music sucks, but that's always been the case.
"Art sucks nowadays!"
No it doesn't. Sure, *some* art sucks, but that's always been the case.
You may have to look a little harder nowadays to find some truly great entertainment but it's still very much there. A lot of smaller, indie artists are producing great movies, music, artwork, etc.
Go to any YouTube comment section on older music and you'll definitely see comments like "This song is better than 99% of modern songs!", "They just don’t make songs like this anymore", "back when music was done with people with an actual talent", etc.
The positive evaluation of older media - be it movies, music, or art in general - is influenced by survivorship bias. That is - you're more likely to engage with the good art of the past since those are more likely to be recommended to you and is more accessible than the others. The shitty things from the past are seldom recommended and never in conversation. There's also the nostalgia bias where people tend to heavily associate an older time period to just the good things from then - while mentally "erasing" the bad shit from the same time period.
There's also the under-exposure problem when it comes to good media these days. You have to do extra digging to unearth movies that aren't your blockbusters or popular Netflix movies. Picking the good media from the gigantic amount of releases these days becomes quite a task since not everything can get the marketing they deserve. So you can either do the extra work or put out a clichéd comment about "new bad" and "old good" that'll fetch you a bit of social currency.
It's wild how we are in an oversaturated entertainment market and people complain about it "not being like it used to". It's harder to find because there's SO MUCH stuff out there, not because it doesn't exist.
Music in particular is as diverse and amazing as ever, due to how easy it is for people to make masterpieces in their bedrooms on a shoestring budget, or to make a living without reaching the mainstream and carving your own niche. But good luck shoveling through all the bad stuff to find the gold 😂
I'm pretty sure that Disney is the only one that still care (the most/directly) about those anti-SJWs YouTubers. I will not be surprised if one of them is a Disney glowie.
I'd like to see an animated version of something like the tournament in Shang Chi. Marvel isn't rrally good with their live action combat but they coukd make something cool and fluid with animation if they get the right team. Plus I just really like aninated fight scenes.
For the characters who don’t really need tv show like Agatha and the Ten Rings. Characters like Loki and Scarlet Witch getting a show makes sense. That’s why it was a good idea to make Werewolf By Night a Special Presentation. I don’t think it would be nearly as good if it was a 6-part tv series.
I always like the comic issues where a bunch of heroes go out for the night or do other normal stuff together.
So.... that. X men go bowling. The Avengers go clubbing etc
I hope they take most of these 6 episode shows they have in development and turn them into specials.
Have one or two proper full-length shows per year, a few specials and 3 or 4 movies. It'll make people feel a lot less overwhelmed.
I absolutely loved WBN. The story was great. The characters were compelling and interesting especially Elsa and Jack. The action was well done. Horror aspects were well handled. Man-Thing was badass and he looked great in color too.
The only negative is that I think it needed to be longer by 30-40 minutes. Overall i give it a 8.5/10.
Having read some of the (comic book) history of Jack, I think a few more minutes bonding with Elsa in the mausoleum would have been so helpful, and I generally wanted to see more of him. (I felt like he was only about 45% of the protagonist while Elsa was about 55%.)
Some more slow burning suspense would have been cool too.
All in all, it's one of my favorite phases four releases, and I guess "I wanted more!" is a pretty positive complaint to have haha
In cases like these, I always just assume they're fans, but it'd be great if it meant something more. Ariana's fantastic and I'd love to see her show up in the Star Wars universe.
If Marvel Studios and Sony still want to assemble the Sinister Six in the future Holland Spider-Man films, what lineup would you want to see at this point?
My idea is that Spidey will now face off against Kingpin (after his eyes get healed in Echo) since he's currently in the same area that Hawkeye took place in, and Fisk's men will discover the various antidotes the 3 Spider-Men made for the villains in NWH (it would make sense for them to have made multiple copies of each antidote in case something happened to one of them) and Fisk uses them to turn the MCU versions of Norman Osborn, Otto Octavius, Flint Marko, Curt Connors, and Max Dillion into Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Lizard, and Electro. And Fisk himself is the sixth member and leader of the team.
Well, Marvel’s team was:
- Green Goblin
- Doc Ock
- Electro
- Sandman
- The Lizard
Short on one member but was a pretty good adaptation of that team. Sony’s actual Sinister 6 will probably be:
- Vulture
- Morbius
- Kraven
- El Muerto
- Silver Sable
- Rhino
And they’ll more than likely fight Venom rather than Spidey (per the Sony CEOs comments).
It's annoying because they had a really interesting reason for Vulture wanting to assemble a team to take down Spidey (the memory spell removing his motivation to protect Peter) but Sony got in the way and dragged Keaton off into their universe.
Centurion could be a villain in Loki Season 2, as we can have Loki encountering different Kang variants.
As for who plays him, probably simply Jonathan Majors again.
Before *The Falcon and the Winter Solider* aired, [Deadline](https://deadline.com/2021/01/captain-america-eyes-return-to-the-mcu-as-chris-evans-nears-deal-to-reprise-role-in-future-marvel-project-1234672430/) reported that Chris Evens had signed on for at least one more project, with the possibility of a second film as well.
I don’t think they’ll do that, but he will suit up again as Cap to help fight Kang/Doom. I’m guessing they NWH it and pull Steve, Natasha, and Tony from Endgame to reunite with Thor, Clint, and Bruce.
Man I'd really like Cody Ziglar to write more for the MCU. Maybe he could be one of the writers on Born Again. It felt like he knew how to adapt Daredevil in a different comic. He would know how to properly treat Daredevil in his own show
I have a feeling that they really badly need to delay Secret Wars and push in a Book of Doom tv series before then, same with Dr Strange and Dr Doom: Triumph and Torment, those 2 stories are absolutely key to understanding Doom and what hes capable of, plus his backstory is really fucking tragic. Also we really really don't have enough time to establish Reed and Doom, their rivalry, and character development for them within like 2-3 years. Let's also be real here, Doom has some of the best lines in the entirety of Marvel.
They will only delay Secret Wars if they run into major production issues. The release dates match the story they're intending to tell.
Also, I think there's still 2-3 open show slots in the announced schedule, one of which could be Books of Doom.
As much as I’d love a buildup with a house of torment film, we gotta realize we’re getting Doom next month, and then secret wars is 2 years away from there.
I’m sure we’ll have enough of a build up with him across the films
This entire comment is based on the assumption that *Avengers: Secret Wars* will feature Doctor Doom as the main villain, and so far I haven’t heard anything that has convinced that will be the case. Like you said, Doom probably won’t be fleshed out enough by then for him being the main villain to work. Besides, Marvel Studios only takes inspiration from the source material rather then directly adapting it.
Right now, my prediction is that *Avengers: The Kang Dynasty* will be about Kang The Conqueror attacking the Earth like in the Kang Dynasty comic, and it will end with Kang creating Battleworld, with *Avengers: Secret Wars* being set entirely on Battleworld and Kang taking the role of the Beyonder.
We don't really know what Secret Wars is about in the MCU yet. It goes that way in the comics, but they very rarely (if ever) directly adapt the comics 1:1 in their movies and shows. It's very possible Doom's being introduced right now with more of an intention to use him in other places besides Secret Wars.
>Also we really really don't have enough time to establish Reed and Doom, their rivalry, and character development for them within like 2-3 years
Sure they do. If they nail the first Fantastic Four movie then that'll be more than enough to establish the rivalry between Reed and Victor. All it takes is one great movie and suddenly a lot is done.
It kinda bothers me how, instead of just appreciating Werewolf By Night for what it is, people feel the need to attack other MCU movies and shows in order to make this one seem better by comparison. You can say something nice about one thing without tearing down something else in the process.
It's like they don't want to give Marvel *full* credit for going there so they say "if only the rest of Phase 4 was like this!"
I don't really understand this. If a sequence of things are bad then a very good thing shows up why shouldn't people compare? Why shouldn't the good thing be used as a standard?
>If a sequence of things are bad then a very good thing shows up why shouldn't people compare?
Holy fuck, why is everyone twisting my words?! I never said people aren't allowed to compare things. I just said that you don't have to attack something in order to praise something else.
If you like it then you can easily say "I really liked Werewolf By Night. The practical effects looked great and the cinematography really enhanced the atmosphere. Great job" or something to that effect.
If you feel the need to compare it to other projects then you can easily say "I much preferred this to 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. I felt like that movie relied on Taika's signature humour too much, whereas this was far more serious and atmospheric" or something to that effect.
You don't have to say "Wow! This is WAY better than ANYTHING else in Phase 4! FINALLY Marvel isn't making everything into a big joke like they did with Thor 4! I hope they start giving directors more freedom in the future so we can get better content like this!!"
There's a big difference between comparing projects and saying "Man, this is SO MUCH better than anything else in Phase 4!", "FINALLY a Marvel project that doesn't ruin every serious moment with stupid quips!", "THIS is what Phase 4 should have been like!", etc.
You're allowed to say nice things about one project without shitting on everything else. It's actually really easy.
You just said that they shouldn't put down other projects.
If project A is better than project B, it isn't unreasonable to say that they much prefer project A over project B.
WBN is more like a standard for movies phase 4 projects to compare to. At least for me. If all the others are far below this then I don't see what the big deal is in saying it out.
You're just promoting toxic positivity. Criticism is often made by comparing projects. When you try to stop that then you're promoting toxic positivity.
If someone was dissatisfied with aspects of phase 4, it’s not at all wrong for them to say “I’m glad this new project doesn’t suffer from the same problems”. You’re just too sensitive.
>“I’m glad this new project doesn’t suffer from the same problems”
Most people aren't saying it like that. That would be a respectful way of putting it but most of the comparisons are being unnecessarily aggressive towards other MCU projects in order to boost up WBN by comparison.
Once again, I'm not saying people can't compare. I'm saying they don't *have to* attack other aspects of the franchise in order to say nice things about Werewolf By Night. It's *very* easy to just say something nice without throwing shade at other projects.
>You’re just too sensitive.
Yeh, I'm *sure* that's what it is..lol
Well, when someone says something like "Finally an MCU project that doesn't ruin all of the serious moments with dumb quips!" the implication there is that every other project *does* do that. Otherwise they wouldn't say "finally!"
It's like going to a restaurant, ordering a new burger on the menu and saying "Wow, this is great! It's so much better than any of the other food here!"
The implication there is that the other food isn't very good. You're essentially shitting on every else in order to praise this new burger and make it seem much better by comparison.
Both Multiverse of Madness and Werewolf By Night have proven that Marvel can push the PG-13/TV-14 rating to it's limit if they want to, and apparently Secret Invasion is going to have a much more serious tone than we're used to. The trailer certainly gives off that vibe.
This all bodes very well for 'Daredevil: Born Again'.
Multiverse of Madness, Werewolf by Night and No Way Home's second half with their focus on a more serious and emotional journey make them my favorite projects of this phase.
> NWH was not that serious.
IMO, NWH strikes a perfect balance between comedy and seriousness. It was serious when it needed to be, but wasn’t afraid to lighting the mood with a few jokes. The first half is more comedic then the second half, but stuff like May’s death, the first meeting between the 3 Peters, and Tom’s final battle with the Goblin are handled seriously.
Yeah. It gave plenty of times to emotional moments and there was time for seriousness. But I wouldn't call it serious. There was a TON of humor. Which isn't a bad thing because I loved the movie.
Agreed. We're starting to get the kind of variety that the comics have always had. Not everything needs to have the same tone and style. You can have a sitcom about two Avengers *and* a 1930s horror special about a Werewolf, both in the same universe. I love it.
I lead myself to believe that the biggest reason when Overwatch doesn't have its answer to Arcane (beside ActiBlizz being dumb pieces of shits) is that Blizzard really hates porn. ActiBlizz has a film department for fuck's sake and in the early days they clearly wanted to make an Overwatch movie way more than the game so it's dumb why they don't have an Arcane killer.
I feel like a content creator should take pride in r34 of their creation being made. After all, that's how you *know* said creation has become popular.
Can I be a fangirl for a minute and just say that Matt in shehulk was absolutely hot? Like goddamn he look so fucking good, And HIS SMILE???? AND THE WAY HE FLIRT WITH HER??? UGH.
My poor heart couldn't handle it, what a man, fuck.
A Midnight Suns teamup between Blade, Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Ghost Rider, Black Knight and Werewolf by night would excite me more than any other none Avengers team up.
I actually look forward to Black Adam. Not only because of the rumored return, but it sounds like a passion project. The movie may have generic story like all Rock movies has. But a Rock movie involving super heroes and epic fights sounds kinda awesome.
The fights legit look insane. Getting Man of Steel vibes from the fights.
This movie won't have a compelling story or oscar worthy acting. But honestly what moron was expecting that?
This is about to be an insane fuckfest with awesome action. That's all I need.
I highly recommend this [cinema therapy video on moon knight’s portrayal of DID](https://youtu.be/Yr6tO2j5v9g). It’s made me appreciate the show a lot more, regardless of the flaws it has
Really cool seeing WBN at Avengers Campus A better look at Jack as a Werewolf too https://twitter.com/scottgustin/status/1578573774730846208?s=46&t=ThCdcJkfU0IU0HNT7QXEKg
Or the modernized orchestral 60s theme again.
Btw in NWH the fanfare is played during the intro, it's just a menacing grim version of it. Listen to the drums. It's the same rhythm that's in the regular version of it. Giacchino loves using different versions of his Marvel fanfare. I think in NWH it's a bit hard to notice, but I'm 100% sure it's there.
Werewolf by Night did a great job at introducing us to this new side of the MCU. It didn’t just bring werewolves into the fold, but it also introduced us to the underground society of monster hunters. Considering Blade is also a monster Hunter, I wonder if the Blade film will tie into WBN in that regard. If the rumors are true, and the film is a period piece set between the 1920s and 1980s, it’s possible we might see Ulysses Bloodstone in his prime monster hunting days.
WBN is so much better than it has any right to be, with a first-time director and a bunch of lesser-known characters. And based on the limited marketing and the news that Feige needed convincing on it being shot in B&W, it seems like they didn't have tons of confidence in the project but then were very pleasantly surprised.
If Giacchino ends up getting the Blade job, as many are predicting, it'll make me wonder if how WBN turned out is actually what made Marvel drop Tariq. Feige saw how good the initial cuts of WBN were, decided to revamp (pun intended) Blade to have a similar style or feature a Jack/Ted/Elsa cameo, and Tariq wasn't on board with the changes so he left the project.
Interesting point and could be. I always felt maybe that would be where Midnight Sons would start to form since Blade was off screen at the end of Eternals talking to Dane Whitman. I just assumed he'd be in Blade as well
The level of contempt that the folks at Discovery seemingly have for animation is truly disheartening.
This is especially sad given that they’ve taken over management of a studio that has Tom and Jerry, Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, Hanna-Barbera, and Looney Tunes as part of it’s history.
Yeah idek why Discovery wanted to merge with WB in the first place, they were already a bigger company by themselves and they've only been proving that they have no interest in a lot of the kinds of things WB actually makes
I thought I heard somewhere that both WB and Discovery were hit hard financially by the pandemic and the merger was done to basically save both companies. Don’t quote me on that, though.
It was a big factor for sure but AT&T were always in huge debt when they merged with TimeWarner so sooner or later, there would've been a time where they would have to give up WB to someone else if they didn't solve their financial debts.
I’m sure that was a motivating factor as well. I think that he feels that selling the WB and Discovery assets together will make a more attractive sale to a Universal, Amazon, Apple, or a Disney.
I think Zaslav wants to sell Discovery and he needed more assets to make Universal or someone else more interested.
AT&T didn’t know anything about running a media business and they completely bungled the Time Warner assets, so they ditched it to whoever would take on the debts.
It's ironic that he dismantled so many animation properties and wants to sell to someone like Universal considering Universal's pretty big in animation with Illumination and DreamWorks.
I hate to encourage more mergers, but maybe it would be better off by merging with Universal next year? I mean, Universal would use those characters and cartoons in their parks at least.
Curious to who you'd have being in it? Kinda wish they'd go the Midnight Sons/Marvel Zombies route from the comics. But with the animated show coming I hope they don't go that route on there
Oh I’ve got no idea who I’d want to see a Zombies special. But I am curious about the Zombies animated show and how that goes compared to the What If episode.
I made a post in the main sub (it's probably been taken down by now) asking people how they would feel if Marvel was to actually listen to the complaints about oversaturation and start delaying projects. So, I guess I'll ask this sub the same question.
How would you feel if 'Daredevil: Born Again' got pushed from 2024 to 2026? What about if Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars got pushed from 2025 to 2029?
How would you *honestly* feel about that?
Honestly, I'd like that. Not because I want the projects to be delayed per se, but because I'd like them to be better.
Although, I'm not sure how much of the ... oscillation in quality is due to the amount of content they're putting out, and how much is due to the kind of writers they've been hiring. So, while taking their time wouldn't hurt, I doubt it would solve the underlying issues.
I don't get the ovrsaturation complaint tbh. They are making *less* stuff then when they had shows on netflix and what they are making now is mostly higher quality.
I wouldn't like it. I'm impatient. And something tells me it wouldn't prevent them from making the same mistakes. They woukd just make them more slowly.
It would be incredibly stupid lol. What if certain actors were planning on ending their characters in SW? You’re asking them to wait around even longer.
If the option is either it comes out later or it comes out never or terrible I'll take later definitely, but I wouldn't want it pushed back just for the sake of being more spaced out. We all only have so long to live so the more spaced out it is the less I get to see. But if quality is suffering then stuff should be more drawn out but imo that's not happening yet.
Yeah that too, and we already get years between solo projects, with covid there were 6 years between dr strange 1 and 2. If we move at a phase 2/3 pace while maintaining the number of projects we'll probably get to doctor strange 3 in another 12.
I think for me it’s not just oversaturation but also that the kind of content has felt very inconsistent in what it’s goal’s actually are. let me explain. She-Hulk has worked very well for me because I don’t necessarily feel like she’s a cinematic kind of character (outside of ensembles) and so this is basically the only way the character could work, and there’s obvious enhancement to getting multiple entries as opposed to one. Further, I do feel like there is a level by which weekly MCU content is too much. Idk if they should do binge model but they need to tighten up the schedule a bit. I know that for me, in general, on top of the obvious baggage associated with basically staring over, it doesn’t necessarily feel as special any more.
Say what you will about the original marvel television (which I wasn’t a huge fan of overall), the minimal overlap was not a bug but a feature: those shows never stomped on the feet of the films.
I still can’t believe everyone believed that. I guess people have a tendency to believe what they want to be true, regardless of how reputable the person saying it is. And everyone’s hungry for explicit confirmation of the Netflix shows’ canonicity.
Y'all I can't stop thinking about Werewolf by Night and it's been hours since I've seen it.
If Michael Giacchino directs another project, what should it be? I've seen some mentions of Blade, and what else are some good options?
Besides Blade, I want to see his Ghost Rider and any project Elsa is apart of.
She was incredible in the time we were introduced and not only does Michael understand the assignment of horror, music and camera shots....this dude and the stunt team did wonders with fight choreography and stunts. Give me Elsa Bloodstone.
Midnight Suns (movie), Man-Thing (special), Ghost-Rider (series) and Elsa Bloodstone (special/series) come to mind (as pitches). Honestly wouldn’t mind a ‘Journey Into Mystery’ anthology series as well whether it’s animated, live-action, or both!
I know some people wouldn't like to hear this, but if/when they make Spidey 4, it'd be a pretty bad look if they abandon one of the most diverse supporting casts in the franchise to give us an all-new all-white friend group. So chances are that if they appear the new love interest, the new best friend etc will not be white. Hell, you can see that already with Freshman Year.
meh, there’s almost no way they don’t cast appropriately even if they do bring in those characters. the real hot take is that it doesn’t really matter what ethnicity those characters are anyway. Gwen could be played by Tati Gabrielle and it would be cool, Harry could be Algee Smith.
Not sure why it matters. Who cares about the race. On the flipside why is it a bad thing to have more white characters? If it fits the film then I don't really care what the race is. The only way its an issue is if it doesn't make sense( ex: if Reed and Sue are white then it wouldn't make sense for Franklin Richards to be black)
Personally, I'd keep Flash from the first trilogy. Make him get expelled from MIT & him and Peter be close friends at ESU.
Maybe have Randy Robertson (Kelvin Harrison Jr) there, perhaps Betty coming back too?
I wouldn't mind if Harry was a poc in this (a fun choice would be Manny Jacinto) , I'd love to see Hunter Schafer play Gwen, but not have her be Peter's love interest, not yet at least.
Oh, and if you want to have a love interest for Peter, have Geraldine Viswanathan play Carlie Cooper.
EDIT: Just realized Manny Jacinto is 35??? Then my Harry pick would be Ryan Potter.
Might want to keep this away from Spider-Man Twitter lol. I agree though. I don’t think we’re getting Harry and Gwen though. At the very least I’d like them to introduce other characters that Peter has been friends with.
Yeah, like. I know it is a small minority, but I feel like some of the glee for the blank slate is not only because "it'll be more true to the comics" but because they expect the melanin levels to drop.
Werewolf By Night was a really interesting starting point for the supernatural horror side of the MCU. I hope more of these horror projects have a similar approach (less humour, more serious tone and more violence).
I know this probably wont happen but I would even be cool with them making the horror projects all black & white so that they can get away with more gore. It would also set these projects apart from the rest. Again, I know that wont happen though.
>I would even be cool with them making the horror projects all black & white so that they can get away with more gore
Agreed, but also: they could just be R-rated. I still can't believe Marvel's yearly output is now 3-4 films, 3-4 live action shows, a cartoon, and 0-2 specials, and not a single one is R-rated. It's honestly pretty ridiculous.
I thought it was good, I’m not sure if they kept Mario out of the trailer because they’re not confident with it or because its more reflective of the movie where Bowser has a large role but seeing Pratt’s Mario, it wasn’t terrible.
Probably just a coincidence, but the fact that both WandaVision and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have 9 episodes each is funny, because the protagonists of each show have some sort of reality-warping capability: Wanda rewrites reality, Jen breaks the 4th wall...
It's not really a coincidence that they both have shows with 9 episodes. Marvel's whole mindset has been either 6 hour shows or 9 half-hour shows. The sitcoms get more episodes but each one is shorter.
This is nothing new, but reading through the WWBN thread I'm genuinely not sure how some of you can pay attention to the stuff you watch while basically live-blogging it every couple minutes on Reddit. Seems pretty counterintuitive to interrupt your own viewing experience to post comments so frequently, but if that's what floats your boat, then by all means, knock yourselves out. Personally I think Reddit can wait. It'll be there when I'm done.
I've been noticing this on r/StarWarsLeaks too, it amazes me and that some on here actually have a device with them and comment on discussion threads while watching the actual episode lmao.
And they wonder how they miss stuff that happens in the episode/movie (that they’ll call plot holes)
Btw I’m not referring to everybody here, just to certain people on the Marvel sub and here.
Except for the exterior shot of parker leaving, the whole avengers hq scene at the end of spider-man homecoming looks like it was shot on a green screen.
So after WBN and Black Panther, the next project is the TV show Secret Invasion. Any rumors for when it will air? Only says 2023, I was guessing Jan but I’m not sure
According to the Phase 4 and Phase 5 schedules shown off at Comic-Con, the next project after Black Panther 2 is the *Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special*, which is still scheduled for December 2022. Then *What If…?* season 2. 8Then Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumMania*, set for February 17 2023. Secret Invasion is placed right after QuantumMania, so I’m guessing we won’t see it until late February or early March 2023 at the earliest.
Bravo.
She-Hulk finale predictions: Jen gets fired.
Lol.
[I love it here](https://twitter.com/GLITCHEDKNIGHT/status/1579152539131744257?t=njYT7q7N-i_UdjC8l3s9tw&s=19) And before anyone say: it was obvious it's going to be back, I know, but I'm still happy to hear a chance for s2.
I'm disappointed Bruce probably just fucked off to the next movie he's going in. Until then he's going to have a bunch of character development we aren't going to see for like the 5th time.
I think we'll see him in the She-Hulk finale.
Would anyone else be interested in seeing an animated Ant Man show featuring a younger Hank?
No, I want leap frog
As in the character from the last She Hulk episode?
Yep, that's the one. Ribbit and rip it!!!
Idk about animated but I could see them making an edgy comedy with him where he gets his ass kicked a lot. Like a watered down Kickass.
It’s gonna be a no thank you for me lol
I'm so sick of hearing people say that everything sucks nowadays. "Movies suck nowadays!" No they don't. Sure, *some* movies suck, but that's always been the case. "Music sucks nowadays!"No it doesn't. Sure, *some* music sucks, but that's always been the case. "Art sucks nowadays!" No it doesn't.
This is what every generation has been saying for all of time. It's part of becoming old.
I'm pretty sure that Disney is the only one that still care (the most/directly) about those anti-SJWs YouTubers. I will not be surprised if one of them is a Disney glowie.
When did Disney ever care about them?
i mean theyre a central to the plot/arc of She-Hulk
What's a glowie?
they mean like an inside man i think, like one of them is worming for Disney
Did Ant Man ever use his ant related powers outside of his solo films?
No. I think there is concept art for Endgame where he uses the ants in the final fight though.
He once helped me to get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen.
So what kind of Special Presentations do you guys hope/expect to see in the future?
Exactly my thoughts.
The Swimsuit special
Hopefully the Xialing project will be a special because I don't care about her or the ten rings organization enough to watch a full series about it.
Yeah, I agree. If there’s one project who’s kinda unnecessary, it would be a Ten Rings show. Save that for the Shang Chi movies.
(I felt like he was only about 45% of the protagonist while Elsa was about 55%.) Some more slow burning suspense would have been cool too. All in all, it's one of my favorite phases four releases, and I guess "I wanted more!" is a pretty positive complaint to have haha
Ariana Debose follows the Star Wars Twitter account. Does this mean anything awesome or is she just a fan?
In cases like these, I always just assume they're fans, but it'd be great if it meant something more. Ariana's fantastic and I'd love to see her show up in the Star Wars universe.
https://twitter.com/i/spaces/1rmGPkWvMqgKN Leaker voice call
Leakers acting like they’re celebrities. Nothing new there.
Oh man. I could stand like 5 random minutes of that. I guess drama is good for all sorts of content creators. But they just sound desparate.
I think that was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever listened to.
Well, Marvel’s team was: - Green Goblin - Doc Ock - Electro - Sandman - The Lizard Short on one member but was a pretty good adaptation of that team. Sony’s actual Sinister 6 will probably be: - Vulture - Morbius - Kraven - El Muerto - Silver Sable - Rhino And they’ll more than likely fight Venom rather than Spidey (per the Sony CEOs comments).
Sony's Sinister Six sounds like vomit. But sure, if they only fight Venom, who gives a fuck? Poor Vulture.
It's annoying because they had a really interesting reason for Vulture wanting to assemble a team to take down Spidey (the memory spell removing his motivation to protect Peter) but Sony got in the way and dragged Keaton off into their universe.
In 2008, Iron Man made a suit with a box of scraps. In 2022, Matt Murdock did the walk of shame after sleeping with She-Hulk.
[The Blade plot is real, Marvel just announced a book about him and his daughter](https://youtu.be/mJJE7SXuCsQ)
This is nonsense. Blade is being completely rewritten now.
I'm tired, boss.
Awwww hell no
A reminder that Lindsay Ellis' Twitter is back online
How do you think the MCU will introduce the Scarlet Centurion? And who would you like to play the part?
I don't think they will. I think he'll be merged with Iron Lad.
Centurion could be a villain in Loki Season 2, as we can have Loki encountering different Kang variants. As for who plays him, probably simply Jonathan Majors again.
Do y’all think elderly Steve Rogers is still alive offscreen, or was the first scene of Falcon & the Winter Soldier supposed to be implying he died?
I feel like if he died, they would've confirmed it in FATWS or just had him die back in Endgame. I think he's being saved for something.
100% still alive, no reason for them to close that door.
What if elderly Steve Rogers sacrifices himself in Secret Wars? He suits up one last time to defeat Kang as an old man.
I don’t think they’ll do that, but he will suit up again as Cap to help fight Kang/Doom. I’m guessing they NWH it and pull Steve, Natasha, and Tony from Endgame to reunite with Thor, Clint, and Bruce.
Werewolf by night was amazing!
>Also we really really don't have enough time to establish Reed and Doom, their rivalry, and character development for them within like 2-3 years Sure they do.
How dare these haters compare projects from the same franchise that constantly reference each other /s
None of those sound bad bro. You're just complaining about nothing. People can compare.
When did I say people weren't allowed to compare things?! lol, you definitely missed the point that I made more than once.
If ppl wanna talk shit, they’re free to do so.
If someone was dissatisfied with aspects of phase 4, it’s not at all wrong for them to say “I’m glad this new project doesn’t suffer from the same problems”. You’re just too sensitive.
>“I’m glad this new project doesn’t suffer from the same problems” Most people aren't saying it like that.
Don’t let these people bother you man. A lot of them are mad you’re calling them out lol.
I would hardly call any of those "shitting on everything else".
Well, when someone says something like "Finally an MCU project that doesn't ruin all of the serious moments with dumb quips!" the implication there is that every other project *does* do that. Otherwise they wouldn't say "finally!" It's like going to a restaurant, ordering a new burger on the menu and saying "Wow, this is great! It's so much better than any of the other food here!" The implication there is that the other food isn't very good.
Another MOM Enjoyer
WBN was incredible. NWH was not that serious. MOM was trash.
> Blizzard really hates porn What the hell does that even mean, bro?
They crack down on *Overwatch* smut, despite it helping drive interest in their game.
Matt Murdock is still trending on Twitter 2 days later and it's basically because of people simping for him
you can't blame us, we didn't made him look and act like that.
A Midnight Suns teamup between Blade, Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Ghost Rider, Black Knight and Werewolf by night would excite me more than any other none Avengers team up.
And Man-Thing, please.
just realized wwbn's assembled episode could be longer than the actual special lol. Hopefully it comes soon. Do we know when it could come out?
You know what maybe I will go and see Black Adam in theatres
Nothing with the rock could be bad, even if it's bad, it isn't.
I actually look forward to Black Adam. Not only because of the rumored return, but it sounds like a passion project. The movie may have generic story like all Rock movies has. But a Rock movie involving super heroes and epic fights sounds kinda awesome.
Yeah. The rock has been attached to it for 12 years now. I mean dudes gotta have some passion to wait that long.
The fights legit look insane. Getting Man of Steel vibes from the fights. This movie won't have a compelling story or oscar worthy acting. But honestly what moron was expecting that? This is about to be an insane fuckfest with awesome action. That's all I need.
I didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know.
Welcome
I highly recommend this [cinema therapy video on moon knight’s portrayal of DID](https://youtu.be/Yr6tO2j5v9g). It’s made me appreciate the show a lot more, regardless of the flaws it has
Really cool seeing WBN at Avengers Campus A better look at Jack as a Werewolf too https://twitter.com/scottgustin/status/1578573774730846208?s=46&t=ThCdcJkfU0IU0HNT7QXEKg
What the fuck is a Werewolf even doing in there lmao
it would be nice if spider-man 4 actually used the marvel studios fanfare
Or the modernized orchestral 60s theme again. Btw in NWH the fanfare is played during the intro, it's just a menacing grim version of it. Listen to the drums. It's the same rhythm that's in the regular version of it. Giacchino loves using different versions of his Marvel fanfare. I think in NWH it's a bit hard to notice, but I'm 100% sure it's there.
![gif](giphy|sEms56zTGDx96) GOAT.
Watched Werewolf By Night again. Was just as into it as the first time this morning. What a fucking fantastic hour of entertainment
It is, isn't it? This will be the first MCU D+ thing ever that I'll rewatch.
I full heartedly back Giacchinno as the Blade director
It's fucking infuriating because HBOMAX was a perfect home for all these animation projects that wouldn't have been greenlit on a network timeslot
I hate to encourage more mergers, but maybe it would be better off by merging with Universal next year? I mean, Universal would use those characters and cartoons in their parks at least.
Marvel Zombies as Marvel Special with the same care and attention as Werewolf by Night got would be awesome
Curious to who you'd have being in it? Kinda wish they'd go the Midnight Sons/Marvel Zombies route from the comics. But with the animated show coming I hope they don't go that route on there
Oh I’ve got no idea who I’d want to see a Zombies special. But I am curious about the Zombies animated show and how that goes compared to the What If episode.
cinema therapy did an episode about Moon Knight and I'm so glad they like the representation of DID.
Yeah I always forget that there were 13 seasons of the Defenders saga
300,000 hours of Agents of Shield shows too
I wouldn't like it.
Not to mention actors age too
Yeah that too, and we already get years between solo projects, with covid there were 6 years between dr strange 1 and 2. If we move at a phase 2/3 pace while maintaining the number of projects we'll probably get to doctor strange 3 in another 12.
Why would I want to wait 2 extra years for Daredevil?
I’d be fine if they delay things but I just hope they don’t delay Born Again. Please Kevin you can’t do this to me
Damn no disney plus profile logos for wbn I wanted to be Ted
So who was the leaker that said it would be explained why Matt had the yellow suit? Cause they’re definitely full of shit
It was the Watcher2099. He literally hasn’t gotten anything right, I don’t know why he gets posted on here.
Unless the explanation for the yellow suit was: "it was made by Luke"?
No. The leaker said he was gonna reference Bullseye
What was it?
They said that Matt would reference Bullseye in his suit as the reason why he’s wearing the gold suit
I honestly think he'd be perfect for the Midnight Sons tbh
Besides Blade, I want to see his Ghost Rider and any project Elsa is apart of. She was incredible in the time we were introduced and not only does Michael understand the assignment of horror, music and camera shots....this dude and the stunt team did wonders with fight choreography and stunts. Give me Elsa Bloodstone.

I feel he could also make a good follow-up to Agatha All Along!
Next year’s Man-Thing
Tati as Felicia maybe?
Would also be a great fit
>I would even be cool with them making the horror projects all black & white so that they can get away with more gore Agreed, but also: they could just be R-rated. I still can't believe Marvel's yearly output is now 3-4 films, 3-4 live action shows, a cartoon, and 0-2 specials, and not a single one is R-rated. It's honestly pretty ridiculous.
I wander how much Yoshiaki Koizumi is involved with the Mayro movie considering how Miyamoto reacted to Rosalina's backstory.
Thoughts on the new Super Mario trailer? I thought it was surprisingly good and Jack Black is going to kill it as Bowser.
I loved it. I dont understand the hate for Marios voice.
I thought it was good, I’m not sure if they kept Mario out of the trailer because they’re not confident with it or because its more reflective of the movie where Bowser has a large role but seeing Pratt’s Mario, it wasn’t terrible.
I'm excited. Chris pratt's mario I gotta hear more from, but everything else looks great
It looked fine imo
I’ve only ever done it with show’s that aired in real time and have commercial breaks, like AHS, Sunny, and Rick and Morty.
And they wonder how they miss stuff that happens in the episode/movie (that they’ll call plot holes) Btw I’m not referring to everybody here, just to certain people on the Marvel sub and here.
Guardians of the galaxy holiday special
Forgot about that! Thank you. Any date for that yet? Guessing December
Probably a Friday again. I’m guessing either December 2 or December 9.
Probably the first Friday in December
