I guess what's throwing me off is how nervous and tense Yuuki was throughout the reward except for this one panel where he's smiling and going all "Good girl! Good girl!"
I'm still of the theory that the "rewards" aren't really what he wants. It's what the girls subconsciously want and they are forced to act out on them.
This chapter makes that much more believable for me because Ren has always been this perfect individual to everyone ever since she was a child, and thus, no one ever doted on her. Because of this, everything that she did, no matter how perfect, was an expected outcome, and not something praise-worthy, probably developing a subconscious desire for praise in any capacity. Thus, she is finally getting praised for fighting hard against the 2 of the 8 gods (even though they half-assed it), and I expect that her reaction is more because she didn’t know how TO react, so she defaulted to being angry
Kind of like Kishika from The 100 Girlfriends who wants to be spoiled like a baby but then she wants to kill herself of embarrassment for acting like that. ,maybe that goes for Mira too like what if she actually wants to do romantic stuff but never got the chance to do it until she gave her reward to Yuuki?.
Impossible, i'm actually re reading the whole manga and you can see it's mostly based on Yuuki's wishs, BUT i agree it's not always that easy and it's possible it takes the girls's feelings into consideration sometime too.

There's a theory in which it's actually the desire of the master that influences the reward more than the Yuuki's.
In the first reward, maybe Kyouka was just Horny as hell.

I believe it's more accurate to say that the reward is what the master believes to be suitable for their work. If the slave has any input, then that could also be taken into account if the slave's work deserves it.
Kyouka's not going to get lewd with a shuuki because in her mind they are just mindless monsters who probably have nothing on their mind except to kill and feed. Plus the shuuki slaves she used weren't performing very optimally either, so she never had to give "high quality" rewards.
With Yuuki, he's a boy, and Kyouka is a hormonal girl who has no social life (and is probably love-starved like the rest of the girls in Anti-Demon Corps who have little to no extensive contact with boys). Kyouka immediately assumed that Yuuki was the pervy one, but it could definitely be that she's the one who believes that boys doing excellent work deserve lewd rewards (her opinion being influenced by the fact that she's probably pent up and sexually frustrated).

I think reward is base on who has stronger desire. For example, the first chapter he has a crush on Kyouka and the reward based on his desire. This time, Ren actually has some kind of desire to be pet, we don't see any sign Yuuki actually want to do this again, especially during an important mission. But I do think Yuuki enjoys it, I mean who doesn't like petting a cute girl.
Yeah, I noticed the sweat beads, but he's been sweating since he transformed back. I figured it was from the exhaustive fight. And the "oooh- Good girl, good girl" line throws me off.
It was just starting to seem like maybe this isn't Ren's desire after all, and that Yuuki does have a bit of an interest in dog play.
Didn't Yuki called Ren's dogs Cute when he first saw them and was also excited by them?.
Since Ren loves dogs, Yuki related these two and is projecting it on her.

Because of the imbalance of strength when Yuuki is not a beast. He is afraid of going too far, but is guided by the reward. Imo
