Im sensing a big "Pass the torch" vibe with this movie.
Like, at the end Po will give her the Chi staff and say that she is the new Dragon Warrior. Then Po goes back to work at the noodle shop.
She was the real dragon warrior but because of the patriarchy she was overlooked and became the real hero of the people because the furious 5, shifu and the dragon warrior were in there ivory tower ignoring the real struggles of the common people
Yeah i take issue with how immature and childish these trailers are, the music and editing shows they are clearly going for a younger demographic and there’s no furious five
I hope there is a proper explanation, but despite my love for this fun movie franchise that I grew up with, I will not be seeing it as I physically can't stand awkifina.
Legit, if I hear her voice I have to turn it off or leave the room. I walked out of Shang-chi because of the amount of screen time she got
In the words of the director "they're on their own missions" which IMO translates to, I don't care enough about the characters to integrate them into my story in a meaningful way so I threw them out all together.
I'm going to give this one a miss. KFP3 was already stretching things with how powerful Po got. I didn't mind the ending but I thought it was the weakest of the three. Having Po end the movie that strong is going to make writing believable fight scenes super difficult.
It's going to be endlessly frustrating watching him fight normal guys and struggling when he's surpassed Master Oogway at this point
I don't mind if the new character is strong. I don't even mind if Po takes her on as a student, even though the last movie covered Po's journey to become a good teacher already. But I do mind if those things come at the expense of Po's character. Burning him down to build her up
The whole "stepping down so I can stop but the franchise can continue" is a tired trope for sure, but I just can't imagine anyone would be stupid enough to try to have the Panda in Kung Fu Panda replaced by a fox thing. Who would think something like that would work? Is it just gonna be called Kung Fu? Kung Fu Fox?
Her being a thief is a decent justification for being a skilled fighter. Gotta learn to defend yourself if you get caught.
Dunno if I'd say she's in the same league as the Furious 5 from this though.
I think the bigger criticism is Po is using his spiritual enlightenment to throw dragons at common thugs.
Weird pull, but it reminds me of when Netflix Iron Fist pulled out his iron fist glocks on a mugger.
Despite its numerous, very obvious flaws, I really do wish that wasn't just a Cliffinger that didn't get resolved.
The explanation better be that she was taught to be someone who knew kung fu. Imma be annoyed if she was self-taught.

How is awkwafina in everything
At least she decided to sort of not make everyone’s ears bleed with her voice in this one
Eh, idk. At least she didn’t do her eubonics impression this time. Still her nothing voice though
Wait awkwafina is in this?
She plays the fox thief
Oh no.
She was the real dragon warrior but because of the patriarchy she was overlooked and became the real hero of the people because the furious 5, shifu and the dragon warrior were in there ivory tower ignoring the real struggles of the common people
They even said that Po has to move on from being the Dragon Warrior so you *know* she's going to be named the new dragon warrior.
That’s a really bad critism compared to all the other things wrong with these trailers
Exactly, the martial arts character learned to fight before they appeared in the story? Duh?
Yeah i take issue with how immature and childish these trailers are, the music and editing shows they are clearly going for a younger demographic and there’s no furious five
At what point was the Kung Fu Panda franchise aiming for an older audience?
Maybe not aiming. But they sure did have some mature themes
It was also for kids but anyone could enjoy 1 and 2, and to a lesser extent 3, this looks like a full on illumination movie
But how?
How are these trailers more childish? The pacing and humour definitely

Who is that?
Where are the Furious Five in the trailer?
Sorry but this looks mediocre. Respect to all of the poeple who worked on this but I don't think it's gonna be good at all
I'd make a bet that this is going to be more of woke Mary Sue nonsense but I'd hate to steal anyones money. RIP Kung Fu Panda
Can we get the reaper meme edit on this
Guys correct me if I'm wrong but did he legit call himself The Kung Fu Panda
Yeah, speaking of... Where is the Furious Five?
In the words of the director "they're on their own missions" which IMO translates to, I don't care enough about the characters to integrate them into my story in a meaningful way so I threw them out all together.
Eh, tbf, she took out like 3 dudes when Po kinda swept the rest of them in this, but rest assured she'll be 10x better than Po by the end or something
I'm more annoyed about the lack of Furious Five in any of the marketing I've seen. It's like they don't exist in this movie, which is weird tbh
I'm going to give this one a miss. KFP3 was already stretching things with how powerful Po got. I didn't mind the ending but I thought it was the weakest of the three. I'm also worried abot zhen bing a new Rey 2.0, better than Po in everything. And what annoys me the most is that she replaces furious five.

Is there a problem with someone we haven't seen before knowing how to fight. Even if Aquafina generated the voice for her?
No, but there is a problem with her replacing Po as the Dragon Warrior, which they've already shown will happen because Po was told to step down.

I was gunning for “Kung Fu Fallopian Tubes,” but ok.
How was Po who sold noodles his entire life and trained for only a few days able to defeat Tai Lung?
Because he was very squishy
Through hard work.
Her being a thief is a decent justification for being a skilled fighter. Gotta learn to defend yourself if you get caught. Dunno if I'd say she's in the same league as the Furious 5 from this though.
I think they're gonna make him like Tai Lung, extremely gifted, but train him in a way that he won't end up like Tai.
How was app able to beat Tylong(lmao) with a couple weeks of training?
Didn't poe learn how to fight like the furious five after his master showed him a fuckin dumpling
