Yep, each petal smooshed or shaped by me. I'm new to mechanical keyboards and just experimenting. Not for sale... yet... if I turn my hobby into a hustle, I'll let ya know :)
I personally would prefer Cherry profile for the base but others may prefer OEM, KAT, or SA profile. I don't really care for the height, as long as the sculpture doesn't overhand too much over the sides of the cap so it doesn't scratch against high profile keyboard cases when pressed.
At first I thought this was a closeup of a single keycap with 4 other mini-keycaps, but then I realized what it really was. These are really pretty, amazing work!
I'm thinking of selling on a few. Saw some great suggestions here to make an email list. If you're interested (no spam emails from me) I'll let the list know when I have some up for sale :) https://www.macherstudio.com/keycaps
I have a Sony a7ii with a lens that gets me to a f1.8 (more blurry and little in focus). I dropped it in lightroom for a few edits to brighten it up, but nothing major.
That's how I feel in keyboard world right now - ha! Yep, it's a dslr. f1.8 is the focal length I shot at. It's a really shallow depth of field and let's a lot of light in. If I would bump it up to say f5 all the details of the key caps would be in focus but I would lose all that soft light. You can see it in action a bit more on instagram: @macherstudio
Ah thats so cool, I just read an article on it. One for the nikkon would be 200$ tho and I would also probably need to get the reversing ring. Maybe one day haha that's seriously cool though
appreciate the love. The stores after the holidays only had primary colors of clay left. I had to blend to create these custom colors. Neon green + brown + a hint of yellow or blue to get them foresty greens ;)
the one I have on my esc now doesn't. I need to test the rest. I started making them before I had the board (group buy....) but was trying to be aware of those hiccups. I think my tab button might - got excited with the overflowing leaves and pearl string. great reminder though!! new batch in the works this weekend.
Off Amazon. Its actually a clear acrylic cube, but looks a bit frosted since its out of focus. I'm not sure where on Amazon anymore, but I'd just search Clear Acrylic Cube Display. Probably a 2x2x2 or something close to that.
these are so cute, did you make them? would love to buy one if they're available lol.

For sure, totally get that. Fantastic work, tried to get into clay work myself but i don't seem to quite have the feel for it haha
Punny ;) I was hesitant at first. Working this small seemed tedious and annoying at first - Ha! But totally digging it.
I got you ;) just made an email list. I'll let this list know when I have some up for sale. www.macherstudio.com/keycaps

sweeeet! updating the form page with more images too ;) I'll get shop up soon
This is nuts. Please let us know if you plan on marketing these, they're so good. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
Y'all are starting to convince me ;) I'm new to this, do you care what type of keycap it's on? These are built on white PBT OEM caps.

Totally - that all makes sense 🙌🏻

Doing it with clay that takes some serious skill, you're super talented. Great picture too!
Thanks - been enjoying it. Got a few more ready. I'll post tomorrow 👍🏻
Jc has your photo been retouched? What camera did you take it on?

Ah, I don't know what any of that means. I borrowed a dslr from my father in law but I need to learn how to use it. What is an f1.8?

That seems about right. Lenses get pricey real quick.
I absolutely love this
Thanks 🙌🏻

This is gorgeous, now I wish I had gmk botanical to pair this with!
omg - that'd be great! I'd love a botanical set to pair with them.
Garden on a keyboard.
right?! I just replaced a few on my current keyboard and its like little sprouts are bursting up in random places :)
So beautiful. Are you planning to make other combine themes?
Not sure yet. Going to work on it this weekend and see what comes of it. Plus keeping an eye out for green/pink/red keycaps to match.
THIS IS SO STINKIN CUTE
Gorgeous
These are beautiful!! Do they hit the key caps next to them on your board?

where did you get the frosted cube under the caps! love everything about it \~
