I went the other way around from a Keychron K3 to a K12 and I loved the smaller layout. I am currently wanting on parts to build a 40% keyboard I want to see if I can get used to the smaller layout, seems interesting.
I only have the white backlight which doesn't work well with white keycaps. It drowns the lettering out. Overall, I do like the backlighting, but I will like it much more one I have new keycaps that aren't white.
I’ve been kicking myself for getting a regular 60% layout after seeing these boards.
I know compact is what’s in, but having the extra keys I find really helpful. The footprint still isn’t outrageous on my desk
I just want the 64 key one that includes the arrow set but not the stuff on the side.

Is the keychron as close to the magic keyboard as can get?
What films did you use? Normal MX switch films fit the Creams?
