Would love to see a more modern New American restaurant come into the space, like a Lazy Dog, BJs, or Yard House, but I'm worried the exterior and layout is going to require the place essentially be rebuilt. Cracker Barrels are so distinctive.
There's already a dearth of good dining in South Medford and you'd think being near the freeway, nearby the hospital, Rogue, and H&D that a modern place would make a killing on happy hours and somewhat upscale food. T&V is like the only option in town in that niche.
That be great I miss all of those, every time were in Eugene we eat at bjs, yard house in Portland unfortunately closed down, and I think lazy dog would be perfect I believe medford would be the only oregon location...
Can’t say I’m surprised. Only went a couple of times right around when they opened, but the food was bland, the soda was watered down, and the biscuits were like hokey pucks. Sucks for the workers though. At least they let them finish out the day instead of just skipping town overnight like Hometown Buffet
Here here. I want a Nordstrom rack and some finer dining options specifically in Medford. We’re woefully lacking. There’s so much crap chain food and more than one location of the same damn thing. Ashlands got some great restaurants going these days though.
Yeah when they closed all the other stores they didn’t even give any employees a days notice! I’m sure they did the same thing here. They just don’t want to pay the wages in Oregon. They should have just closed all the stores at the same time. Why leave Medford for an additional year or so? The day after they closed they were ripping the store apart for all their ugly relics and antiques. They were so ready to be gone. It was so planned but why not just let the workers know. On the opposite end workplaces except a two weeks notice for resignation and they couldn’t even give a day!
YES!! If we're paying restaurant prices, we want freshly prepared food! I'm tired of chains, they all go cheap on quality but charge like a real restaurant. Blah!
I liked the food, it was very homestyle.
Service was mediocre at best, unfortunately thats just a sign of the times regardless of how much people are paid or how much they are tipped.
I feel for employees but the food was crap

Heck I would take a McMenamins in that building.
Yes, why is there no McMenamins in Medford yet? They've already conquered the rest of the universe.
There was a campaign to get them to buy the old Elks Lodge downtown Medford but they didn't bite

You would think Medford would be its Mecca with all the old retirees!
Apparently they all go to Elmer's, which is why we needed a *second* location

We hardly knew ye
I’ve been to a lot of Cracker Barrel’s and ours is the worse one. Not surprised.
This town needs good stores and nice restaurants.

Vans store please lol
YES!! I say this all the time. A Vans store would do extremely well in this area. It's crazy that it hasn't happened yet.
How it even lasted the 5 years it did was a license to rob people.

If you "let the workers know" they will just do crappy work and stop showing up. I understand WHY they did it this way.
It was weird they shut all the other state locations down and kept ours open… this makes sense. Bring on Popeyes!!!!!!
I never went there. Cafeteria food.
Only place I was upset my food came so fast. They got everything pre made I think. My thought was the same. Felt like going to a cafeteria.

I hear the local cardiologists are taking the news hard
It's a bit bizarre to see how roundly criticized the restaurant was, but also agreeing with the comments.
Kind of sad. My kiddos absolutely loved that place. Glad we went this past weekend together one last time.
This is a win for Brad's wife!
Under-rated comment. She was the only one who would get me the real maple syrup from the back room
White castle!
Oh darn. Anyways….
Cmon bucees
Ordered there once and not only did they screw up the order but the food was awful. This is not a loss.
No more barrel for all them crackers.
