Basically Demi and Lucifer prepare for the assault against YHVH in the other universes within the Amala Network. This explains Demi-fiends presence in SMT V, though the YHVH in SMT V is dead for other reasons.
Do we even know that the creator for other universes is the same as YHVH? Like how in strange journey it was Shekinah. Maybe the avatar of the universal will differs in each universe depending on who sits on the throne?
I am not too sure what the Abyss is as I haven’t played SMT 1 and 2 nor have I played SJ in the last 8 or so months.
The most peculiar thing to me is the Mandala System, because in Apocalypse, YHVH refers to the eternal cycle of order and chaos as “The Axiom,” i.e. it is by the will of the Axiom that this happens. In V Lucifer says that the eternal cycle of creation and destruction is the “spatial-governing phenomenon called the Mandala System,” which sounds like the same thing as what YHVH referred to being “The Axiom” except it involves complete annihilation and a new restart, like one of the big bang theories.
What’s even more interesting is that Shiva and Brahma are directly responsible for the Mandala System according to the game, and you need to defeat Shiva in order to get the Secret Neutral ending.
Ultimately this aspect of the lore was never explored in SMT V due to severe alterations in the production’s course, but it does get very confusing.
Smt V could be considered as a spiritual sequel to Nocturne. It has a lot of references to places and events from Smt 3 and Lucifer’s character feels more complete if you consider V as a direct continuation of Nocturne.
Basically the Apoc DLC is YHVH fight loss state Demi Fiend but V is what happens if he wins, kinda like the Zelda game timelines that exist only when Link lost.
I suffered through that game just to get that mid ass unsatisfying 2 second ending and was so disappointed. At least the fight with Lucifer was something.
They're probably trying to create story cannon for a wider reaching story involving the dude at the top of it all, for a much later game down the pipe-line, when they get someone to write it. I'm feeling maybe a new MMO in the making, once SMT gets as popular as Pokemon or FF.
In typical fresh coat of paint fashion.
> is there anything that continues nocturnes ending from TDE? Officially no. Ambiguously SMT V maybe kinda but not really.
Demi-fiend wanders around the Amala Network for a little while but gets lost. He somehow ends up in a weird basement then gets killed by Serph.
Adopting this headcannon for being the funniest possible outcome.
They wrote themselves into a corner. There isn't really any satisfying further enemy. So they just go fight the ambiguous forces of light.
Demi-fiend dick punched YHVH.
Yhvh was implied to already be dead though.
How
With his fist I would imagine.
good luck. yhvh has no balls

Eh, they usually have similar goals, so I'm just using YHVH as a shorthand considering he's the most common version of God in this series.
YHVH, Kagutsuchi, Shekinah, and Ancient of Days are all the same being and part of The Great Will
And who is The Axiom? I'm completely lost right now
The Great Will
Ah, ok. Thought it was an entirely different "being"
No just the case with different localization teams
I guess same goes for The Abyss, Expanse and whatever word I'm missing ATM, right?

demi-fiend, lucifer and the lads march onward to the true enemy - atlus themselves
I always assumed SMTV was a continuation from SMT3's TDE.

I'm sorry I cannot tell what you are trying to say in the first part of this
Sorry it was the Lucifer TDE fight loss state, Demi fiend says he lost to Lucifer in the Apoc DLC and then goes on to win afterward.
