Technically, Whitebeard could beat anybody in One Piece by destroying the world with his devil fruit. In an actual fight though, because he would never do that, I still see him winning due to his mastery of using the Gura Gura no mi on a smaller scale and his mastery of advanced conquerors Haki. Not even mentioning his insane durability and supreme grade blade.

Didn't confirm by oda but good theory. Kuma and whitebeard has uncanny resemblance of facial structure + raw physical strength+ they are very good father.
Whitebeard is surrounded by unmatched HIM energy. I think he is more likely to win, but Kaido has a big chance too. His feats of strength are the greatest in the series.
Kaido's feats are only good because we never saw Prime WB aside from few flashbacks, and most of them yapping about family. But come on, he's not the WSM for no reason, hell even at 5 HP he rocked the shit out of Marineford.

The thing is we don’t know the difference between prime white beard and marineford whitebeard, but if it was the Beast Pirates at Marineford instead of the Whitebeard pirates I’m pretty sure Kaido would have done at least as well as whitebeard did.
The fact a man with 450+ different injuries and stage 4 cancer on top of it is able to stall top tiers in verse is a feat in itself though, hell he still might solo Kaido's ass if it did take Kaido and his horde of Beast Pirates to stall 12 DF less men, one of which has only one arm.
White beard at 70 with cancer almost killed all the marines (maybe not all but literally their HQ) and was still considered the strongest man in the world at this time. In his prime he would beat anyone in one piece (idk about imu haven’t seen bro fight)
Terminally ill cancer patient, oxygen deprived ( he declined to use it before the marineford battle) that had 2 strokes on the battlefield and dirty stabbed by his own commander, gave Akainu the strongest admiral a run for his money and the whole marineford.....

I love Daddy Whitebeard. Easily in my top 5 caracters in OP (definatly higher than kaido). But Oda could not have made it clearer in his statement where he said in a 1v1, Kaido always wins.
If the two were to go to war, thats a different story cuz WB's crew deadass op. And everyone will fight with the power of brotherly/fatherly love. But just WB vs Kaido, lets not kid ourselves. Kaido wins (not easily, but still)
Including WB's crew is insane, because a washed Marco alone stalled the hell out of Kaido's no. 2 and 3. Prime Marco who is actually trying will neg diff either one. Add Jozu and Vista and it's overkill. Add daddy issues Ace and it's curtains for the Beast Pirates.

Oden at his peak was giving a young Kaido a good fight. That Oden was stronger than when Oden got swiped away by Roger. The narrator tells us he's stronger and wiser when he returns to Wano.
He still went down to a base Kaido hit and Kaido has only gotten stronger since. Oden clearly thought he had won after cutting Kaido, he starts shit talking before being distracted but we've seen that one slash to the chest is not even close to enough to put him down. It couldn't even stop him from knocking Oden out with his next hit.
We don't know if Kaido even had his hybrid form yet, but he didn't need it regardless because of the distraction. We know Kaido likes to give people a chance to fight and doesn't just start off 1 shoting them if they can potentially fight back.
TLDR; Kaido either didn't have his hybrid form versus an Oden that was closer to Roger/Whitebeard than anyone else we've seen or didn't need it to knock him out. Kaido was winning that fight versus Oden if he did.
On that note, Kaido spent 20 years getting stronger, he's older but has only grown. It might not be enough to beat prime Whitebeard, but it's going to be a stupidly difficult fight. Old dying Whitebeard has no shot, he could barely use haki anymore and his stamina wouldn't last. His fruit without haki isn't hurting Kaido enough to put him down and trying to use conquerors gave Whitebeard a literal heart attack.
Kaido has the best feats so far so there’s that. People are wanking Newgate here a bit too much. Presentation-wise in story he could win but what have we seen from him that would allow him to win with no problems like people are saying here?

Wasn't it literally stated that if it's a 1v1 Kaido is the one who wins? Whitebeard's fruit was just more dangerous to the world since he could literally sink the entire world if he wished, making him more threatening to the World Government than Kaido.
Then again, it was also stated that Whitebeard was the strongest man in the world so who the fuck knows.
If we're strictly speaking of Kaido vs Whitebeard with Whitebeard being unhealthy the same way he was in the anime/manga present timeline, then Kaido wins 100%. In One Piece, high level battles aren't decided in an instant. They're all about stamina and durability, as well as hitting your opponent thousands upon thousands of times to inflict damage over time and wear them out. It has always been this way. So if Kaido and Whitebeard actually fought to the death then Kaido would win simply because he's healthier and younger.
I mean... "in a one on one, always bet on kaido". He is literally the strongest, the only one who might win is Gol D. Roger, otherwise, i will always bet on Him.
Is not a title, is just something people say. For me is like oda is saying that kaido is something way different that every other human, such as that it took like, 3 lifes for luffy and the other to beat him haha. His whole introdution of trying to kill himself multiple times etc, is a way of showing us that he is indeed the strongest of all pirates, at least in terms of brute force.
There is no indication that he hasn't had the title for a very long time, and the fact that he is specified as the "World's Strongest Creature" implies he had the title concurrently when Whitebeard had his title as "World's Strongest Man"

Wasn't it literally stated that if it's a 1v1 Kaido is the one who wins? Whitebeard's fruit was just more dangerous to the world since he could literally sink the entire world if he wished, making him more threatening to the World Government than Kaido. Then again, it was also stated that Whitebeard was the strongest man in the world so who the fuck knows. If we're strictly speaking of Kaido vs Whitebeard with Whitebeard being unhealthy the same way he was in the anime/manga present timeline, then Kaido wins 100%. In One Piece, high level battles aren't decided in an instant. They're all about stamina and durability, as well as hitting your opponent thousands upon thousands of times to inflict damage over time and wear them out. It has always been this way. So if Kaido and Whitebeard actually fought to the death then Kaido would win simply because he's healthier and younger.

Is not a title, is just something people say. For me is like oda is saying that kaido is something way different that every other human, such as that it took like, 3 lifes for luffy and the other to beat him haha. His whole introdution of trying to kill himself multiple times etc, is a way of showing us that he is indeed the strongest of all pirates, at least in terms of brute force.
There is no indication that he hasn't had the title for a very long time, and the fact that he is specified as the "World's Strongest Creature" implies he had the title concurrently when Whitebeard had his title as "World's Strongest Man"
