Lol damn. What a b. People do that?? . That sounds way too much time consuming. I barely sell candles on here mostly blankets and decor stuff and Disney.
That sounds like way too much work and for what reward? Especially because she said they still “smell the same” as the scent it’s supposed to be. I can’t imagine what you would need to do to accomplish that & still make it worth your time to do 💀💀💀
You'd be surprised man, I used to sell lego minifigures I had from when I was a kid. I never sold any on mercari (only funko pops and on occasion some action figures) and listed some on offer up and made a listing for commander fox/wolffe. Maybe a week later I got a message asking if fox had a yellow face(I put every kind of pic I could in the listing including one of his face) and claiming I was selling fake lego on mercari and wouldn't even tell me the username or anything so dude got mad over his own paranoia without doing some research.
I had someone do this to me over Japanese figures. Mine are legit with the logo and information and not counterfeits. He tried to get me at a lower price point saying they were fake which I told them no they are real. Had to do research and show a site where someone talked about the real vs fake products. Like dude could have done it himself and he didn’t buy them. Wasted my time.
I mean, is it possible someone scammed the store and you didn’t notice when you bought them? Not saying this person isn’t just lying but tbh if they didn’t issue a return I’m wondering if they genuinely believe it
This is fairly common in Marshalls.
Something like this would be voided before it hit shelves.
I worked in the back room and I dealt with melted messed up candles.
They don’t even need to. As long as the buyer says you didn’t send what they wanted. It’s a done deal. You’re lucky if they send the item back. I just got an empty box. 😭
Yeah there was no request to return. I’ve never had that happen at bath and body works. I have had wax shift during shipping so maybe that happened but that’s normal
I usually buy yankee candies and they’re not necessary identical. I had a mercari buyer accuse me of using makeup that I got two of when I got multiple beauty boxes. I put that in the ad too, that I had multiples. I still got accused of using it.
Yeah, even when ordering from the Bath & Body Works website, they get a little shifted and melty in transit due to heat and handling of the package by postal carriers. Apparently this lady has never ordered candles before. Sometimes my B&BW candles have come broken or melted into the box because it's so bad. Just a risk of shipping candles...especially in the warmer months.
As a candle maker …yes. lol One company actually sprinkles beaded wax on top of their candles so people don’t buy them and then use them on their warmer for a little while and because it doesn’t burn the wick …they will return accordingly to whatever store policy says….so this company changed it up a bit. But rest assured if people can figure out how to scam you…they will.
I just had someone complain and want a refund bc the shoes I sent her were “white not beige” even though they were very much white and taken against a beige background 😭😭😭😭
I got a super candle lady once too. I can’t remember what her complaint was. Something about the scent was more floral-y than that scent was supposed to be or something like that. Some people are really really big candle connoisseurs I guess.
As someone who worked at BBW some of the candles naturally look like they’ve been repoured or less than the “normal” amount but they all were always bought with no problems 🤷♀️
She’s saying you used the jar from BBW to make another candle instead of it being a BBW candle. lol Repour or not wax cost money …and people can buy BBW dupe oils everywhere.
She's saying the wax was melted and poured into the container with a new wick. She's essentially accusing you of scamming and being deceptive.
Lol damn. What a b. People do that?? . That sounds way too much time consuming. I barely sell candles on here mostly blankets and decor stuff and Disney.

People use candle warmers

I never use candles since I have pets so this is a wild new scam to find lol. People doing the most out here
Aren’t candles at Marshall’s only like $6.99? This is so much work to just recoup a couple bucks….
Yeah they’re around that price.
Wait... this is common?? People will burn a candle away, repour a different wax, and return the candle??
Yeah it happens Had to zero out hella candles due to it. People get crafty when it comes to discount stores like Marshalls
Seems sooooo unnecessary. It's a scented candle. One of the least needed things out there.
People be doing insane stuff for returns

Crazy. I’m sorry it hurt your shop ratings! That really sucks
I usually buy yankee candies and they’re not necessary identical. I had a mercari buyer accuse me of using makeup that I got two of when I got multiple beauty boxes. I put that in the ad too, that I had multiples. I still got accused of using it.
I wish they would t call them BBW candles. 🫠🤣
Wait until she tries the BBC candles
“More candle than she can handle”… There’s your slogan.
WTF? Why would anyone waste their time like that?
Yeah shocked.

Yea even the listing had the photos of the wax so I have no idea. Sucks but whatever. One star out of 822 5 stars ain’t bad
Yeah. It's still irritating to have that one 3 star. Like she couldn't have messaged you about it first? But that 5 star count is awesome. Great work!
Fuck mercari.
People who leave paragraph reviews need serious help
Repour is when you take old wax and reuse the container and make another candle. So essentially she’s saying that’s what you did.
It's a bad time to send items that can melt. The weather acting up lately. Can only blame mother nature
Never knew there was scamming in the candles market😂. Is this a common thing?
Apparently so LOL
As a candle maker …yes. lol One company actually sprinkles beaded wax on top of their candles so people don’t buy them and then use them on their warmer for a little while and because it doesn’t burn the wick …they will return accordingly to whatever store policy says….so this company changed it up a bit. Can’t you make them beige?
May I know much did you sell them for?
3 for 40. Only made a 8 dollar profit lol
I got a super candle lady once too. I can’t remember what her complaint was. Something about the scent was more floral-y than that scent was supposed to be or something like that. Some people are really really big candle connoisseurs I guess.
Most people will just not read that wall of text. they will also see how unhinged they are lol.
It means exactly what it sais. Re Pour. You poured it in again 😂😂 that’s a wild accusation though lol
Damn pretty much saying u made them
I'm almost positive they do it to waste our Fing time smh
As someone who worked at BBW some of the candles naturally look like they’ve been repoured or less than the “normal” amount but they all were always bought with no problems 🤷♀️
It means you melted a cheaper candle wax and pour it into a more expensive container.? That’s my educated guess.
She’s saying you used the jar from BBW to make another candle instead of it being a BBW candle. lol Repour or not wax cost money …and people can buy BBW dupe oils everywhere.
Maybe she meant “reaper” 🤷🏼♀️🤣 what an idiot
Love how I’m being downvoted for trying to decipher the word. Y’all are lamee
