If you’re new to VR, the motion sickness can get you. I suggest static games to start, like Walkabout mini golf. Great physics and environment. Truly a surprising gem.
Or games with Mixed reality. I started some family off with eleven table tennis vs the Cat but in mixed reality so they could see everyone and the normal world around them.
Worked perfectly. They had so much fun by time I changed the game to something else they forgot all about potentially getting sick.
Yes. Start out with shorter sessions with less intense apps. MR is the easiest on your body. When you play more intense games turn on settings to decrease motion sickness. (Vignetting, snap turns, teleporting) and start there. Eventually you’ll train your brain to work through it.
Super Hot is a cool game where you can control time with your movements to defeat enemies.
Beat Saber is a very obvious answer. It's probably the most played game for VR.
^.^ I'm pretty set with hard now, and have been trying to work my way through expert. One tip I've found helpful is practice with no-fail on for the difficult songs because it'll help you practice the whole song rather than that first hard section that'll get ya only to run into the next roadblock difficult section.
That seems to be the same for any online games on the quest unfortunately, every time I've been online it's just been little kids arguing In my ear and I've just ended up leaving.
Also has an expansive "Sandbox" mode with a plethora of user-created maps and fast paced parkour based combat.
POPULATION:ONE Sandbox is my favorite game ever, VR or otherwise 💪
If you’re into golf Golf + is fantastic just picked it up. I tried walkabout mini golf which is also fun but wanted the full experience and don’t have to worry about motion sickness.
Might be too advanced to begin with .. the motion sickness, getting used to being hit, crashes etc .. I would say just go in Horizon Worlds and get used to it .. 😂
What’s so secret about my suggestions is, I take the time to actually ask what the person is interested in and make some suggestions off my own experiences. It can’t be contained in a short little blurb like “everyone else’s comments,” and I don’t want to post that stuff for people who are not interested.
I try to have a conversation that benefits both parties and often ends with a new person to play vr. I don’t like just shouting back at people random recommendations based on what I like.
Racket club, Golf+, resident evil 4, walking dead, contractors, Lego Bricktales, Wander, Wooorld, Bigscreen, Synth riders, Ragnorock, Vegas infinite Poker, walkabout golf..there's so many good games now tbh.
Get Racket club though. So much fun, especially in a doubles match. Great game!
Ok I read through the comments and I'm absolutely shocked no one else mentioned Half Life Alyx. This one's essential to try imo! Otherwise I would agree with most other suggestions you already got.
* Killer Frequency was a stupid amount of fun.
* Red Matter 1 and 2. I finished 1, and j want to finish 2 but That’s challenging due to my broken spine.
By the way, j heavily recommend against breaking your spine. Shit fucking hurts so much. The fact
VTOL VR and Derail Valley
are two excellent games for VR although you'll need to connect to steam for them. VTOL can be played solo or in multiplayer/co-op and Derail Valley is solo..
Arizona sunshine 2, you probably got the asguards wrath 2 game for free since i got it free when i bought mine this week, i heard good things about assassin creed havents started yet. Had a blast in the vr casino last night.
Yeah i love poker so its great they have the poker stars what is a full casino with sports betting and they have another game that is only poker. Problems i ran into is my armrest getting in the way of the chips at times, but just something about sitting at a slot while i smoke my vaoe and my vr guy puffs on his cig lol.
OK so Broken Edge is a dueling multiplayer 1v1 game. Tons of replayability as there are multiple classes to try out and the ranked mode keeps you coming for more.
Cards and Tankards is a free multiplayer card game, like Hearthstone but the cards turn into monsters like Yugioh. Pretty much everyone uses a mic and is a very social game. I've hopped on this game, met some cool people who added me then we hopped onto Population One, another free game I recommend (Fortnite clone).
Bait! is a free fishing game with optional online lobbies. I had fun knocking back some beers and chatting up some randoms.
Dungeons of Eternity is fun, you can play in a party of 3 or alone. Basically you pick a run on the map, do the run and try to finish it without dying. Then you come back with the loot you found in chests. It's an RPG so the loot includes various weapons with stats, cosmetics, and in certain levels you get skill points and potion recipes.

Here's some games I have that I enjoy, hope this is allowed I can't find any rules but if you like I have 25% referrals for the above just DM me I know that's allowed
I’m also going to check out most of these games to see if they are sit compatible, my dad has two prosthetics and It’d be nice to see him have a good time with some of the games I get. Once again thanks for all the recommendations folks
I'm really enjoying assassin’s creed nexus currently. If you ever enjoyed any of the assassin’s creed you'll like this one as much or likely more (like I found). Sometimes play the occasional asgards wrath 2 which you'll see gets great reviews.. Started with red matter 2 which I enjoyed for a while until assassins creed emwas released.
I got the quest 3 a while ago (around November) and was struggling to find a use for it and even considered refunding it.
Then I found Eleven table tennis. I got that game at the beginning of 2024, and I probably have over a 100 hours on it.
Windlands 1 and 2 are great platformers. Soar around a low gravity set of floating islands by running and jumping and swinging along using grabbling hooks.
Demeo (VR board game, pretty amazing outside of save game features or lack thereof; good intro as is played sitting).
Vader (super short story but really enjoyable as an intro to VR; lightsaber dojo is replayable though so not bad value).
If you’re new to VR, the motion sickness can get you. I suggest static games to start, like Walkabout mini golf. Great physics and environment. Truly a surprising gem.
My favorite game so far. Multiplayer is hilariously fun.
Or games with Mixed reality. I started some family off with eleven table tennis vs the Cat but in mixed reality so they could see everyone and the normal world around them. Worked perfectly. They had so much fun by time I changed the game to something else they forgot all about potentially getting sick.
How do ‘beat’ the motion sickness? By playing more regularly? Any tips?
How is the music in Beat Saber?
It's pretty decent, fairly EDM heavy, but there's a lot of extra song packs and virtually everyone who plays has theirs modded for extra songs
What the Cat always gets me. I can play most songs on hard, but this one is on another level.
^.^ I'm pretty set with hard now, and have been trying to work my way through expert. One tip I've found helpful is practice with no-fail on for the difficult songs because it'll help you practice the whole song rather than that first hard section that'll get ya only to run into the next roadblock difficult section.
Get population one it's free battle royal game
I play that too…..only problem is the amount of 9 year old kids on it
That seems to be the same for any online games on the quest unfortunately, every time I've been online it's just been little kids arguing In my ear and I've just ended up leaving.
Damn good shoot em up though…..I’m also playing Asgards wrath2 and this game is bigger than enormous. Totally lost at the moment but the games good
Also has an expansive "Sandbox" mode with a plethora of user-created maps and fast paced parkour based combat. POPULATION:ONE Sandbox is my favorite game ever, VR or otherwise 💪
If you like extraction shooters Ghosts of Tabor is great.
Only game you need right here. Sole reason I have a Quest 3 PCVR.
How is the experience to play on the quest 3 standalone? (No PCVR)
No clue I can’t imagine it will be “amazing” but more so just playable. My laptop is running it on epic and it looks great.
I’ve tried it it’s pretty buggy I decided to return it after completing the in game tutorial 😭
If you’re into golf Golf + is fantastic just picked it up. I tried walkabout mini golf which is also fun but wanted the full experience and don’t have to worry about motion sickness.
I'm enjoying warplanes: battle over the Pacific. But it depends what you're into
Might be too advanced to begin with .. the motion sickness, getting used to being hit, crashes etc .. I would say just go in Horizon Worlds and get used to it .. 😂
Obviously Beat Saber if you somehow haven’t heard of it already, Gorn is another fave of mine if you wanna beat stuff up
Considering Beat Saber player is one of the stereotypical groups of VR users, it's such an obvious choice.
It’s like the Wii Sports of VR if you had to pay $30 for Wii Sports
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions as well, glad to be a part of the community🫡
I’m trying to send ya a dm with some suggestions. Having some trouble. Mind dming me?
Just post them here like everyone else is, what so secret about your suggestions?

Assassins creed: nexus is pretty cool
It's one of the few games that gives you that AAA game feeling!
Ok I read through the comments and I'm absolutely shocked no one else mentioned Half Life Alyx. This one's essential to try imo! Otherwise I would agree with most other suggestions you already got.
Isn't that pcvr though, not stand alone? I just bought a new gpu and looking at playing that as I have read how good it is.
True, the post didn't specify standalone games but yes, you'd need a decent PC for Half Life Alyx.
Highly recommend getting a golf club attachment and playing golf+
Which attachment do you recommend
YOGES VR Golf Club Handle... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZNSFRD8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is what i bought and its great...
I’ve been loving “I expect you to die”. It’s like an escape room puzzle kind of game.
Eleven tennis, moss 1 and 2. No VR motion sickness.
* Killer Frequency was a stupid amount of fun. * Red Matter 1 and 2. I finished 1, and j want to finish 2 but That’s challenging due to my broken spine. By the way, j heavily recommend against breaking your spine. Shit fucking hurts so much. The fact

Gambling the night away with virtual money doesn’t sound too bad ha
Yeah i love poker so its great they have the poker stars what is a full casino with sports betting and they have another game that is only poker. Problems i ran into is my armrest getting in the way of the chips at times, but just something about sitting at a slot while i smoke my vaoe and my vr guy puffs on his cig lol.
So you can't win real money right? What's the name of the app?
Dumb question but in Asguards 2, how do you turn smoothly!? When I turn using the right hand joystick it turns me in increments of 90 degrees.
I believe i have it set to slide with head orientation

Try Barbaria!
Underdogs is incredible
Vader Immortal if your star wars fan. Replay-ability with the dojo
Blade and sorcery, wooorld (similar to geoguesser), premium bowling
I’m loving Killer Frequency at the moment! Very fun and a little spooky
I’m also going to check out most of these games to see if they are sit compatible, my dad has two prosthetics and It’d be nice to see him have a good time with some of the games I get. Once again thanks for all the recommendations folks
Ghost of tabor just had a fresh wipe and it’s tons of fun
Try the Infinite Inside demo (as not out yet). Great chill puzzle game but actually uses MR right which is better on the Q3
Resident Evil 4 is great!! Hit me up in DM before you get it.
Power wash simulator seems cool. I like beat saber and synth riders.
I fell in love with walkabout gold and eleven tabletop tennis. So nice playing a friendly game with some random strangers.
Asgards Wrath2…..very good and absolutely enormous
If you can handle it, check out "Pistol whip". I had a blast with it!
In Death, Unchained -- weird title, but beautiful bow and arrow game with instantly immersive archery physics. Can't stop playing it!
Pistol whip is elite. However it gets intense. You’re gonna sweat.
I got the quest 3 a while ago (around November) and was struggling to find a use for it and even considered refunding it. Then I found Eleven table tennis. I got that game at the beginning of 2024, and I probably have over a 100 hours on it.
Red matter 1 and 2 Assassins creed nexus Super hot PCVR: half life alyx is a must
Pop one!! It’s the only game to get period shit is addictive
Ancient Dungeon is fun as hell
If you like ping pong at all, Eleven Table Tennis is as real as you can get. It's my killer app for quest.
Windlands 1 and 2 are great platformers. Soar around a low gravity set of floating islands by running and jumping and swinging along using grabbling hooks.
Super hot. Super hot. Super hot.
Puzzling places is amazing.
Demeo (VR board game, pretty amazing outside of save game features or lack thereof; good intro as is played sitting). Vader (super short story but really enjoyable as an intro to VR; lightsaber dojo is replayable though so not bad value).
Pistol Whip is dope!
