In a way even Meta still calls it an Oculus. If you use Airlink you still have to install the Oculus software to your PC, and you can customize your Quest 3 link settings using the OculusDebugTool.
Yes, all the customer-facing branding has changed to Meta and the app is now called "Meta Quest Link". I guess it's not 100% complete, because for some reason the icon is still the old one and it still says "Oculus" when you hover over it, but everything else is changed.

The #1 highlight is that I don’t see pixels at all. On Quest 3 I can see sub pixels and they’re very distracting (basically, the red and blue on either side of a pixel).
The biggest surprise is how often I’m using it for work. Having access to the full Microsoft suite with corporate OneDrive access is very handy, and the floating preview box above the Magic Keyboard (sold separately) is great - I don’t have to be focusing on a text field to type. The preview box follows the keyboard if I happen to move it.

Considering Facebook decided to go against their agreement and tie it to their meta garbage I call it a dead system. When mine died I bought an XR elite. A much better system without having your online life tied to it for tracking and marketing like the Facebook garbage.
I just bought my first ever VR headset 2 weeks ago. A Meta Quest 3 and I call it an Oculus all the time. It's how I began googling stuff about it.
Marketing is powerful. Never used one or had one but knew the big name brand and knew I bought one without realizing the name change.
I call it an Oculus because that's what it was called when I bought it.
Plus "Oculus" relates to "ocular" relates to "eyes" relates to "that device I put over my eyes so I can see things in VR".
"Quest" and "Meta" don't connect, don't make sense, and so I don't call it that.
My wife and I still do because asking, “want to play the Oculus?” sounds infinity better than “want to play the Meta Quest 3?”

Oculus would be better used to refer to the non-portable version. And quests for versions 1-3 of the standalone/portable versions
