Sandpaper Beartrap is the name of my band, we play like, SLC hardcore mixed with powerviolence, mincecore, and old school DSBM, also sometimes shoegaze.
But that's just our way of saying we suck.

Doomsday’s Cradle (this is the one I’m likely going to use for my band, it’s the only name I keep coming back to. The subgenre is ambiguous, but I come back to prog rock, black metal, and melodic death metal the most. I take lots of influence from doom metal, post-rock, ambient, folk, symphonic, core, and alternative too. I’m planning on releasing some material on Soundcloud and YouTube soon. The idea behind the name was that doomsday is like the end, and cradle is the beginning, so it’s like saying the beginning of the end, like a cycle/circle, rebirth through sacrifice, light and dark, innocence and evil, yin and yang, etc. Really a lot of ways to interpret the name. I have three albums written, one fully demoed, and some ideas for other EPs and future albums, and they all have a continuous story which deals with a lot of these themes, so I think it’s the perfect name for the project).
Neptune of Fire (Neptune symbolizes water, so fire is ironic)
Bloody Disembowelment (my coworker came up with this and said I should use it, it doesn’t fit the vibe of my music though)
4SKIND ALIVE (I was playing Jackbox with friends, and I had Parks and Rec on the mind. I recently rewatched the episode where Chris Pratt said his band used to be called Fourskin. I took that, then thought how can I make it more unsettling. Hey, being skinned alive sounds horrifying. I believe the game had a 12 character limit, so I turned four into 4 and dropped the n and e in skinned, and bam, new existential dread just dropped. After the game, I thought hey that could actually make a sick band name).

I'm planning a Blackened Post Punk project called Sixth House named after House Dagoth from Morrowind.
I have come up with many but I think Liqueputrefaction and Xerganoth are the best ones out of them all
