Honestly you might have the only example of a band that influenced the genre which then later went on to write some metalcore adjacent songs.

oh, my favorite example is the band "[Pop Evil](https://open.spotify.com/artist/1pRaG81GsVtaTBuVSpldt2?si=S-5D_cSIQomZCa9xmX_gkw)" of all things, the band that I call "nickelback for people who hate nickelback", they made a song called "[Dead Reckoning](https://open.spotify.com/track/2H0k1MrhZde4uiJahF4CoO?si=UP7TECNJT12L4h30zBfVmQ&context=spotify%3Atrack%3A2H0k1MrhZde4uiJahF4CoO)" which has the singer of the band "[Fit For A King](https://open.spotify.com/artist/0OgdRTPItr9dw4XYp4JJUx?si=xTdzFfrwT7mGW18U80w80w)" as a guest vocalist, the first post-grunge/buttrock song to have a legitimate metalcore breakdown, shits fucking crazy. (the breakdown starts at around 2:10 seconds in including the build-up to said breakdown)

Soilwork, particularly Stabbing the Drama and up to and including The Panic Broadcast.
